  1. Rezz, Thanks for uploading those awesome pics in the photo - diary! I agree there was a definite rice theme going on, but it wasn't too bad. The Do Luck R34 GTR was by far the best car in show for me. The V35's looked awesome, especially the Nismo'd up one! Look forward to seeing more pics uploaded later! Dave
  2. AFAIK, in most cases the offset of the wheels should be the same as, or less than factory. I can't remember what the offset for the 33's is, but for the R34 it's +40. Most aftermarket wheels recommend offsets of +30 to + 40, depending on the width and design of the wheel... It does sound to me like the + 45 offset at the front is a little too much...
  3. I believe they are for what you said - being able to have the window slightly open when smoking, or during the rainy season to prevent the glass from misting up...
  4. My favorite, an awesome Do Luck modded R34 GTR check out the gallery for more!
  5. Some kind fellow has just posted a gallery of pics on Performance Forums. Here's a select few - see the rest at his gallery here
  6. On "paper" it is true that the R34 GTT and the GTR put out the same amount of power. But it's generally accepted that the "official" figure quoted for the GTR is, well....horse sh1t! In reality the GTR is more powerful and has several features that the GTT doesn't (ATESSA 4WD for a start) Still, IMHO since the GTT costs about half what a similar condition GTR would, it's a real bargain in my book... Dave
  7. Rezz, I'm off work today so I can't check with the staff at the yochien. I'll let you know tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
  8. Osaka Auto Messe: Now worries, found their website (here ). Hmm...Feb 8th or 9th. Not sure I'd be able to make it, will have to check but I might have a yochien event that day. Will let you know. As for the show - I get the impression it's basically the same as TAS? Is it worth making the trip out, especially after going to TAS a month earlier? Dave
  9. Nah, I used a crappy disposable camera, had them developed and then dusty off my old scanner and set to scanning in the good ones! The rest of my photos are very poor I have a digicam, but somehow managed to leave the house in the morning without it... There's also a thread going on PF (off topic) and the UK GTR register with a few photos. Troy suggested I come over your way for the Osaka Auto Messe 2004 - quick question: When is it? Dave
  10. Great Photos. Glad you were able to find the bayside Autobacs or parts heaven as it should be known! Have fun on Mt. Fuji - you'll only be able to go up as far as the 5th step, but believe me at this time of year it is going to be fcuking COLD!!! Dave
  11. That's all from me!
  12. Ditto - the Do Luck Styled R34 GTR was the best in show (by far) for me. I want I'll even sell body parts! It was great to finally meet many of you!! Nice to see such a great turn out from the UK boards! (soggy, Ben and crew) Sorry we weren't able to hook up again later in the day, everyone kinda dissappeared early on and the event is so large you can spend hours walking around it and not see the same person twice! I had a superb day and thanks go to my wife, who despite being 8mths pregnant managed to walk around for several hours at the event grabbing as many freebies as she could! (and keep an eye on me and those lovely race queens...) Hope to see you all again at TAS 2005 - or maybe the Nismo Fest? There's a bit of a thread going on in the regional forums (NSW), with some photos uploaded. But I'll upload my (poor ) efforts here aswell... Regards Dave
  13. Nice one It makes you wonder though, how we're (skyline forums) are perceived by other forums etc...
  14. LOL Some fantastic chopping! The gladiator one has to be my favorite so far though!
  15. (26 inch wheels are a hummer!!!) Thats about all the ones of mine that turned out (damned disposable cameras! Cheers Dave
  16. Some photos from yesterday. Sorry for the poor quality
  17. I'd imagine there's plenty of stagea pics, since they were there in force some very nice kitted out ones too. I think the most popular car in the salon was the 350Z, just about every stand had a modded one. Closely followed by the RX8. Still plenty of cars represented from all the major Japanese manufactuers, but without a doubt Nissan seemed to dominate the show
  18. What a day! It was great to finally meet so many of you, I think we had around 15 to 20 people from both the SAU and GTR.co.uk boards. The Auto Salon was very impressive, some totally awesome cars but for me the car of the show had to be a light blue Do-Luck styled R34 GTR... or maybe the hummer with 26inch wheels... or the Lambo's... Apologies for not being able to make it later in the evening (had to get back for my son). I imagine Rezz is still on his way back to Kobe, so expect lots of pictures later tonight or tomorrow. Unfortunately in my haste to leave my place at 5am I forgot my digi cam so was stuck using a disposable camera for the day....I'll try and get the pics processed, scanned and uploaded ASAP!
  19. they were an factory option that I believe was available on the GTR's... Don't recall ever seeing a GTR with a sunroof though!
  20. POLL sounds good Better do something though 'cause I feel a rebellion coming on...
  21. yep GTR is good but you also can't go wrong with a GTT And they're available in Bayside Blue....(not that I'm biased, of course ) decisions decisions decisions... :D
