  1. the rear has a cut out for the exhaust to pass through. Nismo also offer upgrades such as carbon fibre diffuser fins
  2. GTR's have the black lip thingies under both the front and rear...
  3. seriously though - there under body air scoops designed to "smooth" the flow of air under the car, creating more stable airflow and reducing drag... or so I'm told. GTR's have them front and rear...
  4. diffusers - I believe my wife was on about them when buying a hair dryer!
  5. WHY would you wanna do that? To answer your question, the'd probably fit...the sizes, pcd and offset should be OK. The only reason I could think why they wouldn't fit is caliper clearance... but i'm sure those 16's are gonna look a little lost under the GTR's arches...
  6. mysterious avatar abductions...
  7. Good question. I dunno the answer, but on a related subject: I believe the GTROC UK is officially recognized by the orginal GTROC in Japan. Additionally, the club was able to persuade Mr. Hiroshi Tamura to become the clubs "Honory President"... You can read more of the GTROC's meeting with Mr. Tamura (head of product planning at Nissan) on the GTROC's homepage
  8. I believe it's just the name of the club, or the clubs moto. AFAIK most of the trucks are show trucks only, but some might work freelance and haul goods... I have no idea how they're able to power all those lights - must have some big-ass batteries in them...

    Jap streets.

the above photos are taken from my site. The circuit itself is growing, but it's essentially a RWYB circuit so you can see just about anything on the track, bikes and hondas included... As a side note, thus far the fastest car I can recall seeing around the track was a seriously worked Subaru...FORESTER! they also have a cool RC track aswell...

    Jap streets.

hehehe. It aint all bad What the Japanese term countryside is actually quite "urbanised" in my book. But, where I am now, it's about a 5 min drive into the mountains. Moutain roads means drfit action, especially on the weekends. They also mean very few traffic signals (in the cities you've got to put up with traffic jams and signals every 100m or so, something that really makes driving in the city a pain in the ass:() in my spare time I often take a 5 min drive to my local racing circuit in the mountains and watch the racing/drift action for me Tokyo is around an hour away by car, as is Mt. Fuji, Fuji Speedway, Yokohama and nagano for skiing...
  11. :D So very funny. During the summer I often see large convoys of those trucks passing through my area on the way to Fuji... The number of lights on them is staggering. They look pretty silly or cool depending on your tastes, but I have to respect the amount of work that goes into creating one BTW, these do make me laugh though. 660cc minivans! :D
  12. I'm not at all familiar with the in and outs of setting up a national club in the UK. Considering our (UK) laws are not very different to yours I'd imagine it too was a nightmare to get set up and organize...
  13. Agree totally - as is the case with the GTROC UK, the comittee members/admin team all work in their spare time and for free and I, as well as all the other members, are extremely grateful to them for all their hard work and effort. Without them there would be no club! Despite studying geography at uni, I seem to have fogotten how vast Australia is compared to the UK, so I didn't appreciate what a nightmare it'd be to organise a single club on a national scale. But as you say, regional clubs are in development and hopefully in the not too distant future they'll be able to come together to form a national club. And I totally agree, any Skyline club should be open to all Skylines! :jump:
  14. there's no denying if it's done, and done properly, it would look awesome!
  15. as a mentioned in my initial post, the GTROC UK is open to all skyline owners, even people living abroad (like me) so there is no discrimination against what kind of car you drive. I wasn't aware of the SAU NSW when I started the thread and there doesn't seem to be any direct links of the main page of the forums. I agree there is no need to start another club when one is already in existence and doing well. Though perhaps a name change to GTR AU or something would be cool? Forgive my ignorance, but SAU NSW (I assume NSW = New South Wales) suggests a small regional club as oppossed to the national club that the SAU NSW realy is, right?
  16. I can tell which one not to go for, and that's the BLitz kit. If it's the one I'm thinking of with the (IMO) ugly-ass arch extensions I can think of nothing worse to do to a GTR. I agree with sewid though, the GTR looks pretty damned awesome from factory but if I was gonna put a kit on it, Top Secret would be my first choice! My friends Top Secret R34 GTR: is nothing short of perfect! and for comparison purposes: In the forground, my R34 GT-V, middle is the top secret kitted GTR (above) are then a standard R34 V Spec. 17. I personally like the Nismo S tune, but Tein, HKS are also good. Depends on what you're after and how much you're looking to pay...
  18. there's currently another thread about shocks here
  19. LOL - Yeah, the nismo stuff is good, but EXPENSIVE!
  20. Dunno - all above are used, from Jap Auctions and bidding is in Yen! Not sure of the store prices - Rezz probably knows!
  21. And Nismo S Tune HKS Hipermax
  22. I've heard good things about several other brands though: GAB Apexi Tein etc
  23. Not too pricey? Unfortunately I have no idea of the prices in Aus. But when I'm able to upgrade my shocks I'd probably go for Nismo S Tune or maybe Tein...
  24. Thanks B-Man! I had no idea there was club! GREAT! :jump:
