AFAIK the system is based on the number of years the emperor has been on the thrown. The current emperor's reign is called Hesei (or something like that!) and so you see years written as H7 or H11. This year (2004) is H16 i.e 16 years since he became the emperor. The previous emperors reign was called "Showa" so you get S46 etc. Hope it helps! Dave

Rezz is probably the best person to comment on how Japan's Superautobacs prices compare to those in Aus. As far as their prices compare to other car stores (Yellow hat, drivers stand etc) I'd say they're about the same, maybe slightly cheaper. The big plus for superautobacs is the sheer range of products they have in stock...

Just curious as to exactly what a circular earth kit does? How does it benefit the engine/performance etc? The reason I ask: they seem to be a very popular mod over here to do. Also interested cause it seems like a mod that might benefit N/A as much as a turbo'd motor...

Although the liquid is probably coolant, it could be the aircon's refridgerant. When I had a leak on my AC system, I took it to my nissan dealer who regassed it and added some kind of green dye - the idea being it would be easier to detemine where the leak was coming from. The dye looked exactly like engine coolent... if the leak only occurs sometimes, check to see if it only happens during/after using the AC...

I don't think you'd see much of a power increase in simply replacing an RB20E head with an RB20DE. The R33's RB20E puts out 130PS@6,400rpm. The R32's (I don't think the R33 series had an RB20DE) puts out 155PS @ 6,400rpm. Not much of an increase - especially given all the work involved (and you may have to swap over more than just the head)...

Rezz, Aye - I have no doubts. We'll be good to wonder around un-hassled and free to ogle the race queens... Just be warned, my wife is about 7 months pregnant so they'll likely be a lot of talk of babies!

Silver looks good. I actually quite like the standard alloys (was tempted to try a set on my 34 ) I think the front looks a lot "cleaner" with clear lenses though...

That black V35 looks very I think they look good without the rear spoiler too...
