  1. If the car is the GTS non turbo, then having a big bore exhaust (with a 3" pipe may harm bottom end performance, due to a drop in back pressure. The need (or not) for back pressure in a N/A engine is debateable, but most say that you're likely to see a loss of power and torque in the lower part of the rev band. This is especially true if you're driving a N/A car with an aftermarket exhaust designed for a turbo car. You're almost certainly gonna lose some power, not to mention it is likely to drone and fart big time... Cheers Dave
  2. Check out the Kakimoto website: http://www.kakimotoracing.co.jp/
  3. Yeah, Bayside Blue is by far my favorite color for the R34 series and it certainly is eye-catching. It took me ages to find a GT-V in that color. (they're quite rare and the color is in demand) Like I said, it was mainly the GTR's that were available in B-Blue, which works in my favor - most people seeing my car for the first time (or driving past me) think it IS A GTR, just because of the color! Of course, anyone with even a little bit of knowledge about Skylines will pretty soon spot that it isn't a GTR, but still... BTW - what is SAU? If you're refering to the forum, then I found it by following a link on the British GTR register (I'm a Brit living in Japan) The Kakimoto is a great exhaust. It is a special version for N/A. It doesn't drone that much, but it can be a little loud (though its a matter of opinion), so I usually drive around with the extra baffle fitted in the tail... Cheers Dave
  4. Not sure about the specifics relating to the engines - I would imagine a RB25DE Neo Strait 6 is the same in my GT-V as it would be in a GT series, though I could be wrong. Power for the GT-V is rated around 200PS and it looks similar to other RB25DE engines I have seen... Regarding exhausts, my car is fitted with a Kakimoto exhaust (thanks to the previous owner). Before I got the car I had never even heard the name Kakimoto. I have since heard that they are reputed to be very good, and the quality of the exhaust fitted to my car supports this.
  5. R34 GT-V I drive a R34 GT-V, basically a 34 GTT but without the turbo. I understand it was a special limited edition model of the R34 range - featured full GTT running gear, HICAS, uprated brakes, suspension etc but had the RB25DE Neo Strait 6 (as opposed to the Rb25DET in the GTT). It was also available in Bayside Blue (TV2) a color previously reserved for the GTR's (although it was possible to get Bayside Blue GTT's, these were later models that AFAIK were destined for markets outside Japan...) For more info on the GT-V, see http://www.nissan.co.jp/SKYLINE/0001GT_V/ Dave
