Yeah I could see this was going to happen so before I took my car in for a new head unit I pulled most of the trim around it off and put plenty of masking tape on all the parts they might scratch. Looked stupid but was well worth doing. -
How much boost will this take? Also how much without the dump pipe?

Another Dissapointing Results After New Turbo

Well worth getting another tuner to give it a quick run and check the tune out before changing anything major. If its running rich and knocking then the tune sounds pretty poor I just had mine looked at since I had similar issues and they got another 20kw out of it with a better A/F ratio and no knocking. -

Im also thinking of putting a set of poncams into my r34. Are you sure you need to take the whole head off? Im not sure what it would cost but I have had most of my work and servicing done by NBP and they do a really good job. Does anyone know if you would gain much from some type B poncams on a stock turbo? I'm aiming for a HKS GTRS later on just wondering if there were gains to be had on a stock turbo running 12PSI?

Looks like you got a broker that doesn't know what he is doing. The personal one off import waiver you speak of is correct and if you have all the paperwork is quite easy for your broker to do. Hope you dont rack up a big storage charge.

I Ran into heat soak issues on the Dyno at 185rwkw on my R34 with the SMIC on a cooler day it might have been alright. Tuner had to leave it at that since it wasn't doing its job past 185kw went back with a FMIC and he tuned it to 210rwkw straight away.

Well today I saw the R35 TG-R in all it's glory on the Shores of Sydney, yes its true ill try to get a pic up soon. Anyone know if its the first in Oz?? Looked brand spanking new still had plastic over all the inside and a few bits on the front.

You should be able to reach 280kw + with cams and all supporting mods. Im aiming on theese cams too im not going to worry about cam gears as most of the time there set to 0 with pon cams if thats what your going to get but its up to you if you have cash to spend and want to try to get a few more kw you could always get some cam gears.
