I've been on the vplates.com website and i finally figured out some plates i like. They are mixed plates with a number 3 replacing an E. Anyway for some reason when i go mixed plates i can't go slimline. Does anyone know whats the go with this? I don't wana have to cut $500 plates up to fit. Also are there any other sites that do it?

Well the reason the fluttering is loud on mine is because im running a pod (until i get around to putting the stock airbox on, or manage to find a pod box) With the stock box, it's only audible from outside the car. the airbox may only be a little bit louder than the stock box, so if u want loud flutters, um, take the cover off or something

When i had a bolt or two missing in my turbo-gasket dump (and therefore wasn't as tight as it should be) it made a zzzzzzzzzz'ing sort of sound. Not a hissing, but a sound like, well z's. Hope that helps someone. My original rb20 turbo had a leak in exhaust end and it was just really loud, induction noise and exhaust noise sounded the same as it does now.

Take out the two bolts that hold the BOV down and slide the gasket out. Get a Coke can, cut the tops so u can fold it out. Trace the gasket shape onto the coke can and cut around the outside of your tracings(leave the inside as it is, it's this that will bloke off the air). Then just slide the gasket back in with your coke can gasket on top. (you can use some rubber gasket sealant if u like, but mine doesn't have it and doesn't seem to leak) FTR i did mine to stop my car surging in between gear changes, and it worked.. Don't mind the sound now either, sounds tuned or something, hehe

mm damn, if u fix it post here.. i take mine to places to get fixed and they have no idea where to start, sucks.. I can't get mine into HICAS diag. mode either, i have the guide, it just doesnt work

Hey when you say cuts in and out, is it normally when u have drain? Mine starts jerking if im in traffic with the lights on or sitting still with power drain to long.. have been told its the alternator, tried replacing battery and it didnt fix it.. when it's jerking the power is pretty low, voltage wise.

Running My Car With The Stock Bov Removed.
123456 replied to 4core's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeh, like he said, it's not easy to prove for or against, but i mean, many cars block em and last for ages.. Blocking mine stopped the surging i was experiencing in between gear changes.. only problem is the noise, but it's not very audible with stock box on -
I had mine done the other day, and i was told 86db was the limit for 85+ model cars

A huge amount, is it a track car or something? They relocate all the oil in your sump to another canister.. normally drop the engine down a bit to when they're doing it to drop the weight distribution a bit more. Looking at at least $5k, and will only notice the difference on a track,

QUOTE(NicsR33 @ 16 Jan 2007, 07:16 PM) research shows that you are like a million times more likely to do something stoopid on the road if you are carrying passengers I also beg to differ, if i tried anything stupid with my mum in the car she'd smack me over the back of my head..

I was stuck in my office for 20 minutes because all our doors are electrically operated and i forgot about emergency exits. Took me about 10 minutes to work up the balls to cross from some offroad near the corner hotel, across 8 lanes and onto hoddle, scary shit..

Get your mum in the car in the wet driving a lil to fast and i guarantee either a spinout or some aqua planing into a pole. I know many women drivers who've been driving for 10+ years and still dont understand that if the reverse, everythings reversed.. i know many 80 year olds with the most horrible of reflexes, that drive 40 below the limit and change without indicating.. I know alot of 30 year old camry-drivers who have no idea what to do when the brakes lock up.. You have to remember that when most of the people in this thread were growing up, the fastest car was a Ford T-Bird, and cars have come a long way.. People learn in faster cars.. What may have been too much power for P-Platers back then is the standard in cars now.. Body roll isn't often a major contributing factor in a collision anymore either lol.. You also have to remember theres only so much someone can learn through getting old.. People say you learn stuff (while driving) every day.. u don't.. U don't suddenly learn to bunnyhop a bike or how to control it off a jump.. You learn these things by trying it out.. Ne ways this debate can go on forever.. Specially since theres alot more 40 year olds on this site than p platers

haha i was thinking same thing.. topic title is wack

I've got 3" system and a HKS supper dragger. Sounds awesome at revs and on idle sounds really lumpy (which is also awesome)
-
cheers, i was wondering the same thing..

Just thought i'd point out that P-Platers have better reflexes (they peak at 16/17) are quicker thinking, generally are more flexible and have better eyesight than older people... They may not have the experience, but what level of experience is most drivers attaining.. Experience with changing lanes in traffic.. All these people saying that they realise only now how bad a driver they were on there P's must have been horrible. I'm not saying that i'm an awesome driver, but i know how to control my car alot better than 90% of people i know, and i'm far more worried about speed limits and pedestrian crossings.. People who never push there car don't learn how to control there car in my opinion.. And seeing as this thread clearly shows that we P-Platers are an irresponsible lot who push our cars all the time.. we should be able to control them better, when we get in real trouble..black spur ftw..

Yeh wd40 it up or if it still wont work, then just leave it unplugged, it's only a sensor for a dashboard light.

Replace the filter then check the fuel pressure/flow. . Mine revved slow because of a dead pump

Front Door Speakers In R32 Skyline 4 Door
123456 replied to r32matt's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
I went and replaced them with some clarions, if u can not be bothered making up mounting brackets and crap and want an easy option. They set me back about $160 and go pretty loud(although i think i blew one of them last night.. mainly when its on treble, it sounds like a badly tuned radio, so yeh, i think it's blown..Gonna try fit some 6" in the front now) -
He's comparing it to a R33 turbo tho, erm, the t28's off s14's are ceramic.. at least the one i saw was.. Not like it's gonna matter once hi flowed though i suppose
-
T28 off a s14 is bigger than the standard turbo? I went and looked at a for-sale s14 one the other day with a mate, turbo was freaking tiny

Well if you ask me the government should be promoting looking left and right at road crossings.. Those ads where the car hits the girl sorta crack me up.. They say if the car had been going 50 it wouldnt have killed the girl just bruised her... If the bitch had looked and listened like we're all taught in primary school, she'd be fine... The amount of time retards run across the road in front of me and walk across intersections without lights or run across cross-roads... And WTF? That 1 person under 25 rule better only apply to the new P-Platers.. How am i meant to get to and from the pub.. Are trains gona start running till 4am so that i can get home.. neeesh keeet

haha yeh, nothing to drop the heat (cat) = flame, if u wan flames either get urself one of those kits off ebay or make a topic about flutters, haha
