Yeh it would be loud and your car will backfire/shootfire after every change. Cops will notice it and the fine on no catalytic is something absurd like $13k so yeh go a proper high flow, they still flow pretty well

Thats almost as gay as me being fined 3 points for having my rear p-plate drop down onto my parcel shelf

hahahah these are awesome.. bookmarked

Why The General Public Hates Imports
123456 replied to **JaR**'s topic in General Automotive Discussion
Aww, everytime theres one of these it gets deleted b4 i get to see it, i sorta don't see why a burnout is such a big deal anyway.. Spose because of the stickers.. =.= -
Just thought id also mention that it holds 14psi till about 5.4k rpm then holds about 13.5 PSI all the way through to 8000rpm, which confuses me more
-
Me and my mate saw this on the news yesterday and just sat there open mouthed for like 10 minutes. It wouldn't apply to either of us but, its absolutely retarded. Lets say (like me) u get pulled over coz your back p-plate has dropped down, and (like me) get a 3 point fine. Then what.. you get -3 points and wont be seeing your licence for 9 months?wtf honestly I've never had a p-plater cause me any trouble, in any situation before, thats always the 25-30 year old male group or the never check lanes suddenly braking angry driving average women group.. restrict there points..

I get some of my silicon hoses splitting from very slight movements, and pressure is high enough to pop them off even if the joins are lipped and the clamps are tight.. i wouldnt want any plastic whatsoever past my turbo.. Wouldnt the higher psi/ airflow mess around with afm readings anyway?
-
Fair call that is wogsrus, most people don't take hoses off the bov (o.o) they make up a sort of gasket to go underneath the bov. i.e. u unbolt it and theres a gasket underneath it that u use as a template to make a gasket with no hole in the middle to block it off, out of a coke can normally
-
Hmm damn, lots of responses saying it's shagged, sucks that it's not easily diagnosable (<< how the hell do u spell diagnosable) and the fact that the guy who tuned it didn't mention that it was dropping off prematurely worries me, hope my engines not rooted, i thought it was pretty good. Any one know of any dyno nights closer to greensborough/watsonia/eltham area coming up soon so i can see if the cat/dump has made any difference (i normally dont rev the thing past about 6.5k anyway)
-
He already got the BOV blocked off so just add a pod filter and you'll get the flutterzz even with standard smic.. fmic would be louder i spose I've got mine blocked off with a hi flo panel and a fmic and u can hear it a lil, was pretty loud with a pod, but i don't like the sound, have just done it because its a temporary fix for my car's stuttering problems
-
Yessss, my car's been off the road for so long, awaiting dump pipe to be fixed, then an epa test and now a cracked windshield.. I've been driving my valiant 8 and it's just so flopping slow, and when u turn corners ur ass slides off the seat. Also been driving my sisters corolla, the thing is actually pretty funny/fun, i just got it to chirp into 3rd lol, gotta love crappy fwd traction. Took the line for a spin last night and was like... wtf its this fast? soo good can't wait till tomorow

Just had a look through the RB20 topic and dam theres something bottleknecking my car's performance bad. Most of the standard r32 turbo's are maxing at 140, some 145, mines alot bigger than the standard and it's maxing at 142 so something wack there. Most r33 turboes are making the power about 15-20 km/h higher than i am.

How Long Did It Take To Install Your Just Jap Fmic Kit?
123456 replied to WTF-33R's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Well my problems arose from my car being Type-M and having that extra lip at the front (is it for stability or something?) It stopped everything from aligning up and the kit sticks out so far that it pushes the kit out on both sides at the front (which now needs a respray) Cutting the battery hole was a bit of a pain but meh, most annoying thing for me was on the right side of the engine, trying to align the piping into the original elbow. Other than that and quite a few badly welded fins (onec again, meh) it's good, looks fairly decent, and well i can't notice too much of a drop in performance cept for the obvious throttle lag -
haha, humm my dad said the same thing actually, but one of the coolest things about my car was having no aerial, nothing breaking up those sexy lines T.T
-
ohh no haha i hit the 14 psi at about 4000rpm , 5800 is when i hit peak kilowatts and my power drops off rather dramatically.. geez come to think of it, in 1st thats only 1800rpm making decent power, eww
-
Ah true? He didn't mention it, just said maybe cam gears or something from memory. Need to save up a few hundred dollars for it to get dyno tuned again i spose, balls
-
I made the 14psi at about 5800 RPM, could the problem be timing related ? because i haven't changed that in a while and i had a mechanic mess around with it before i figured out a fuel pump was the fix to a old problem
-
oh i have a turbo back 3" system but was running compliance cat and standard dump, thats what i had changed the other day, and i didn't think would make much difference
-
Ah crap! Guess i'll just try get the N1 model.. I wanted to achieve high 11's on the GTR, duno if the N1 turboes on a rebuild with minor mods will do that and i can just sell the 2530 turbo instead.. Alternately i guess 2 high flowed 33 turboes wouldnt go on a gtr either?
-
Oh you can't swap a 2530 from a gts-t to a gtr? I thought they just ran 2 of the gts-t turboes on them from stock and had the t25 flange, that sucks =.=
-
12psi is probably more sensible then on a rb25, swear i read that the guy at the top had a rb20 in his s14 (although i also swear they have sr20's in them and i dunno why anyone would downgrade lol) man im tripping today, guess thats what happens when u sit on the pc all day coz ur line has a cracked windshield -_-
-
Mines been on 14 psi for about 3 months, i was told that's about highest to go before you start cutting into turbo life dramatically

Car Stutters Big, Changing At High Rpm
123456 replied to 123456's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Oh by the way i finally got around to blocking my bov off and it's fixed the surging problem on gear changes, and seems to have more go after changes as well (+ i just got hi flo panel so i dont get any flutterz) so give it a shot and post results here if any one can be bothered -
Yeh, the car has had a remap, but i dunno just scores low, so i was thinking 2530 i'd be looking at 190-ish seeing as im making 163 now (which judging from other people results is low) After reading what other people are saying i think i will go 2530, and just drop some softer suspension in the back to make up for the increased lag + when i get my gtr in october, i will already be half way to twin 2530's
-
ahh ok cheers
