  1. Selling a XBOX 360, 2 Games, 2 Controllers, Memory stick, $550, non negot. Bought it (cost like $800 with all the cables and crap) like a month ago, played it like 3 times, bored of it. comes with stuff mentioned above + a vga and av cable, so u can play it on a lcd. Games are DOA4 and Saints Row Comes in original packaging
  2. whoops rear housing, not exhaust wheel lol
  3. A question, i have the 34 turbo on mine, and ever one says its too laggy for the rb20. But is it to laggy for streetability, or too laggy to make it a good 1/4 mile turbo? Mines so difficult to stage
  4. The r34 turbo, is pretty laggy i think (has the same sized exhaust wheel as the vg30). In first it doesnt start spooling to about 3-3.5k so it makes taking off sort of hard, it does kick in hard at about 4.5k though. The performance increase wasn't all that great for me, i got a remap at the same time and achieved only 164 rwkw (on the same dyno, that i had had it measured, close to stock, at 133rwkw) i will upgrade to cgc hi flowed series 2 r33 turbo soonish Unless i get off my P's before then, and can get a GTR
  5. Yeh heaps better, but like a $13k fine if you get spotted spitting flames out your zorst.
  6. They're vehicle/model specific modifying mags?
  7. Hmm, i dunno, spending a heap is overkill, its not like there going to be baffled, most hi flow cats will flow pretty good, that said i got a $250 one, which i deemed mid ranged, i'll post dyno results after i get it installed (with new split dump/front mind you), but i'll post em anyway
  8. Where to get a new oil pressure gauge? Mine was dead when i bought it from Japcars
  9. About $400-600, althought i personally think about $450 max is reasonable. Getting ready for some lag are we?
  10. Ditto on wondering munkyboy's question bumpbump
  11. Hey, so i went down to beaurepaires and had a look, the octane is actually a gloss finish instead of a matt finish, which makes them look quite good. The others just sort of looked boring, or werent as good as the pics. Only problem was i was too short sighted to tell if they looked good, and my pictures came out blurry (the lebo and mauri guys i was with said they looked cool, but..) So, ill get them, and if they look gay, i'll be reselling some 19X9/8.5 octanes, for about 1200 Thanks guys
  12. 150rwkw isnt that bad anyway, check my siggy if u want a laugh I'd be headed back to that first mechanics too, before i got the new Cat, because of different flange(??) sizes between the 2.5" and te 3"
  13. Hmm, yeh thats actually a fair call on the magnetic sump bolt Oh well, i emptied the oil, it was all clean, no filings, put a new washer on the sump bolt, put it all back together. Now i cant seem to hear that death rattle, dont know why, strange. Car seems to be running alright Thanks guys
  14. Ok thanks guys, i was only going work to back, so shouldnt be any problems, judging from what you guys have said. I was gonna have to empty it out, to replace the bolt anyway, i'll check for crap. Was 100% crap free, last change, hope it still is
  15. Thanks for the help guys, i do have one other question though. Could it be that this oil is thinner than the last oil i put in, and that is why the rattling has appeared? Would running it, like 1.5 litres down on oil really damage it much? I know i put about 4.7 in it, so lets say its runing 3.2 litres total.. not like its dry. I'm hoping that the oil is just thinner, and therefore is making the already present rattles a lil louder. I'll check if this rattle is not in fact just part of the injector rattle i had previously (Just thought of that then)
  16. Hey, so i did a oil change, and afterwards, double checked everything and whiped it all down so i could see if there was any leaks, after two days, i checked and all was clean, so i drove on, didnt think about it. A week after the change i checked and noticed that the sump bolt was leaking, quite a bit to. The oil measures about 1 centimetre up on the dip stick only (about 1 centimeter below the low mark). I do believe this means i have about 3.5 litres of engine oil in the engine, right? Like the dip stick only measures about 1 litre of the sumps contents right? So anyway its been running like that (3.5 litres?) for about 3 days (to and fro work) max. I sort of noticed that after the new oil went in (might have been because of a different viscosity) it rattles when engine revs drop fast, e.g. changing gears. This morning when i started her to warm up, noticed the oil leak, then switched her off, as she was switching off it let out a rattle. Its not a very loud rattle, but it scared the shiet out of me. Was thinking it was caused by to little oil. The stuff i put was HPR 15 SAE 15W-60 penrite. What do you guys reckon, will it be ok once i put more oil in and a new washer/bolt on the bottom of the sump? Or is it shagged? Or is the oil not the right type?
  17. For me it was a fuel pump, could really feel the engine dying at above 5k, for want of fuel. Bosch 044 fixed that, get a fuel pressure/flow analysis done at a mechanics, cost about $60
  18. ohh ok, fair enough thanks
  19. why is that? It's just a fuel cut right? Keeping the RPM from moving further by cutting the fuel, causes dmg to ceramic wheels? Sorry, just wondering ;
  20. all have a sound, althought it does vary from 1-6, its not a large amount of variation. These make more of a ting ting sound, but i was expecting one injector to sound significantly different to the others.. which didnt happen, so i would assume either all injectors were shagged (100% unlikely) or the noise is coming from elsewhere. Now the noise doesnt seem as loud on the inlet manifold as it is on the covers, but it does seem loud up the line from the injectors (as in before the fuel has reached them But how do i check if one of my lifters is wrecked? Overhead cam.. Was pretty sure it didnt have lifters
  21. ok i stuck the screwdriver on the base of the injectors, in between the little metal lines, branching off each, onto the injector rail and the actual injector. The noise from the injector 1 was the loudest (loud click, click, click), and the noise from the injector 6 was the quietest (still distinct and not much quieter than number 1) . Number 1 had no other noises, and as they progressed to 6, the other ones seemed to get a noise like that coming out of the head in them although im assuming thats just because its getting closer to something or other as i move from one part of the engine to the other Suggestions guys? Its only faint at the inlet manifold which is why im surprised its so loud at the injectors, its audible from about 5 meters away from the car, mind you (hard to pinpoint where its coming from)
  22. whoa nervous twitch, just double clicked psot reply
  23. yeh, but the prices on import parts can be a biach from a mechanic, they know how to jack the prices up
  24. ah thanks guys I did try to pull the stuff out of the muffler but its half connected so i'll just leave it i think forgot to mention that before the oil change the ticking noise was happening, and it hasn't changed tone since the change. i'll check the injectors tomorrow individually (cant picture how i would get at them), but how do i check if its a lifter?
  25. Hey, just finished changing my oil and filter and doing the check over, have discovered two problems The 1st is in my HKS super dragger muffler/tip in the middle of all the honeycomb, theres what looks like steel whool. Like in the middle of where the air goes through, on top of the honeycomb. Its impeding air flow (if only slightly) but i cant get it out, it seems stuck. Any suggestions as to what it could be? How bad it'd be? Theres not a huge amount, and its not dense, but say 2 inch's high and 6 long theres strands/clumps of it. Ok and the 2nd is a odd ticking which sounds like its coming from my inlet manifold. On idle with a screwdriver to my ear its pretty distinct, about 30 clicks every ten seconds, with a screw driver to the tapet cover i can hear it to, 30 clicks every ten seconds, was wondering if thats a prob?? Could a mis firing shock coil make that sound? It sounds like one of those gas lighters you use on your stove on the inlet manifold and sort of more of a grinding sound on the rocket. My alternator is gone to, so i dnno if that could be like transferring sound or something THe car runs fine, and has no probs though Thanks
