-
Aight thats one step forward (i hope)the parkers dont come on, and there is no clicking sound either.... I'm about 80% sure its a fuse but can i get told which fuse to look at or replace!!!

Nah there is no dimmer that i could see anywhere, i remember looking for one when i fist got the car and didnt find one.

Hey mate, I was looking at getting the JVC AVX-810, the price on the website is a lill high though, JB do them for $840 cash money:D The difference between the JVC AVX-800 and JVC AVX-810 is the 810 has a detachable face plate. Still the same price ($840) I heard good things about the 810, but from what I have seen the screen quality on the Sony XAVW1 Double Din is allot better. Go into JB and play with the 2, they are both screen adjustable. Tilt them both to the max they can go, and then look from the top and bottom you will see that the Sony’s picture remains sharp and clear while the JVC at full tilt will loses clarity and sharpness as well as colour. From what I have read and seen, bang for your buck (considering they both have roughly the same futures) is the Sony. You can get them at $800 from JB cash money (a mate got his for $740 so depends on which JB you go to) plus they come with a 2 year warranty. I have 2 friends which have the Sony Double Din (1 IS IN A Subaru Impreza 2008, and the other is in a 200sx s15) and they love it, the only problem I saw was that when you make a DVD music CD and put too many songs it takes a while for it to read them! Hope that helped, Vlad

Hey guys/girls, 2day I installed a head unit into my R33 and when I finished I checked to see if everything still worked. Unfortunately for me the dash lights stopped working, but the headlights still work. At first I thought it was a fuse. So I started to check all the fuses (inside the cabin) with my test light but all of them were okay (they all made the test light turn on). Then I thought it was the LEDS so I pulled them out and when over to my 12V drill battery, and tested them out. They were fine, they all lit up Then I thought okay ill just reverse everything I did so I cut all the wires to the head unit and tried them again. Once again still nothing. The thing I found weird was that I got rid of that beep when you leave your lights on or the key in the ignition (I have not a clue when this happened); I only noticed this because the car went dead when I forgot the lights on. Can anyone please help me I really don’t think it’s going to be much fun driving around with no dash lights on!!!! Regards Vlad

Hey guys and girls Got my 1993 GTS-T but the driver’s side mirror has stopped working, well It was working when I got the car, but it wasn’t working too well. Like it wasn’t folding in, I thought at first the guy who painted the car must of forgot to plug the mirror back, or exposed some wires. Anyway I pulled off the door and checked with a test light all the wires and found that all wires were active (got power when the mirror needed to fold in or un-fold back out). I ruled out the problem being a fuse for the other passenger side mirror works fine. So my question is…. Is it possible to change the mirror motor without changing the actual mirror casing? The reason I ask is that the car has been sprayed in “House Of Kolours, Candy Apple Magenta”, and if I find a complete new mirror to replace it is going to be too difficult, and the reasons are finding a place in Canberra to buy the paint form is going to be a pain in the ass, then finding a painter to paint it will be another pain, then getting the colour to match up with the rest of the car is going to be hell. So can the motor units be pulled out form the mirror casings, and be replaced? OR Does any1 on this forum know of any places in Canberra who are willing to paint a mirror(and not charge an arm and a leg for it) if I find one? Regards Vlad

Hey Guys Just reading this thread my problem is the same as your mine doesn’t whinne at all when cold but once it worms up that’s when the annoying noise begins. The car is at the mechanics (Trojen MotorSports) now and he will be changing the tensioner, and idler bearings over plus changing the water pump, and gates racing belt with a new one. My mechanic told me its a good idea to change the water pump at the same time as the belts and bearings. The reason for this is that to get to the water pump the radiator has to come out and the belts too so you might as well pay for a new water pump and know its done, and will last you another 100k. Anyway I’ll let you guys know what my mechanic say…about the belts maybe it can help with your problem. Regards Vlad

Yeah i think i was there when you came in, Silver R34 Black bonnet, big wheels right...i was sitting there installing some lights into the cluster and a/c unit trying to get everything to work, lol. yeah the 16's do have to go but im having trouble finding something i like i want deep dish, 20", polished lip, something simple light weight, but still looks appealing. But first i got to get the fuel pump, belts, plugs, water pump, and gear box oil done. by the way thats how i got the interior i still got to clean it. thanx for the kind words though

Lol don’t own any sex shops, although it could be a good idea...hahaha thanx for all the comments guys, I’ll take it as no one really likes the colour, lol it looks a lot better in person then in the pictures, though. I’m looking forward to registering it and going for a nice long drive around Canberra, without the worries of getting pulled over with no plates, lol. Regards Vlad

The pink has really grown on me, at first I was thinking re-spray, but now the pink in the light just makes the car POP. I got stock R32 rims which have been painted black they look dodgy coz the black paint has come off so there black with bits of silver, lol. I want to go 20” deep dish, with a polished alloy lip, but lite weight I don’t really want heavy chrome wheels on it. Anyone know what offset is needed for the R33 GTRs I got bolt on spacers but, have been told to go with a bigger GTR offset.

Yeah the Car was up for sale on SAU, i had the right idea going with some1 but next time it's not going to be my old man...lol

Hey guys. My Name is Vlad, and Sunday the 5th of April I flew to Melbourne to buy my first R33 Nissan Skyline, the flight was okay, the drive to the guys house was okay but when I got there I understood why I loved these cars so much this was the first time I saw my pride and joy and I fell in love with it. Two days before flying down I had Dr. Drift do a full inspection of the car, which proved to be worth the $150.00 I paid. He got it up on the hoist found no signs of accidents, ran it on the Dyno and found that the car is running lean, he said It needs a new fuel pump, and there is a hamming sound coming from the belt which he said could be the case they are too tight. All in all the drive back to Canberra was boring as Shit, for my old man didn’t let me play any music off my phone, yeah that’s right I didn’t get a sound system with the car, nor did I get the wheels which I’m not too fussed about. As we were making our way back to Canberra I found the Clutch to be very annoying, it’s a button clutch so stopping wasn’t the problem having to take off was…lol. But I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Once we got to Albury, and reached half way to our destination I could see my dad starting to like the car. He told me that the 750K’s that we are doing is like a test for the car if the engine F%$k’s out then we know that I just waist a lot of money. Any way got to Yass at about 6:00pm stopped at a servo to get some fuel looked at my back tires and saw that they were down to the canver, I was thinking to myself that holly shit when we left Melbourne they were fine and now they are almost about to pop. Anyway from Yass to Canberra I didn’t go over 90kmh…the fact that if it was to pop I had no tools and it was already dark. Finally made it home no problems, and for the last 2day I have been busy getting all the lights to work on the a/c unit, trying to get the clock to work, the driver’s side mirror, which I just found out is dead I need a new one, and getting all those really annoying stickers off, plus changing the rear tires with something a lot more safe. Hopefully my mechanic won’t find too much wrong with the car, he told me already that the car seems to be really good, and that I got a good buy. Pretty much the “to do” list now is get the Fuel Pump changed, get the hamming sound fixed form the belts, get a coolant flush, gear box oil change, and spark plugs done, plus fix up the interior, and defiantly get a better set of wheels. By the way these are the pics of the car in Melbourne with the wheels on, and a soudn system, got none of that. Tell me what you think i paid $19,500, im sure you all can tell what mod's have been done to it, the engine however is stock apart form the front mount and the pod filter. Regards Vlad Hope to see you all around, and now you know my car so if you see me say hello.

Is This Mod List For A R33 Any Good..it Need To Be Reliable
proRB88 replied to proRB88's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
from what i understand the block wasn't rebored form the first build, or it might of been and the second machanic used bigger piston rings. i have been told that the machanic form the second build used his old GTR rods(but it cant be confirmed), ill try and get brand names, and sizes but the mod list is a copy past from what owner has given me. -

Is This Mod List For A R33 Any Good..it Need To Be Reliable
proRB88 replied to proRB88's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Guys thanks for the prverbs...lol, but i wanna know if the list is any good? and if the car osunds like a money pit if it already had to get 2 different builds and stuff has to get changed on it already??? thanxs Vic -
Hey guys and girls... Ill be buying my first skyline soon and well i really dont wanna buy a mellon, this is a mod list coming from a R33 seriouse 1.5 1995 which makes 265rwkw (i dont know at what boost i havent been told...but i think it would be at 20ish PSI). the build has been done twice through 2 different machanics and 2 different owners. The second machanic told me that when he pulled down the engine the rods were bent/twisted, rings were gone, and the head was gone, although he told me he used some parts from the first build such as the pistons, turbo, and ecu, i have been told the pistons did have some scrtaches on them but they are fine?!?!?!. Anyway i wanna buy a good reliable R33 which isnt going to be a money pit and so far the owner has been really good and upfront about everything but my machanic fears for the worst but he hasnt taken a look at the car as yet. So can any1 tell me if this list is any good? and what to ask when getting the car cheacked out to make sure i dont have any problems with it? Anyway even if i do get it get it i gotta poor $700 into it to get the gearbox oil changed, injecters cleaned and new coilpacks (the car was missing fireing and the machanic from the second build told me that the coilpacks were the problem so they need to be changed and injecter clean is needed(its ment to be a precaution?!?!?), as for the gearbox it sometimes crunchs form 3rd to 2nd, my machanic told me that it might be a money but he's got to take a look at it). i just wanna know from a 3rd persons ie you guys if this car is any good... here is the mod list: New GTR rods o High flowed turbo rebuilt o Steel head gasket o ACL race series bearings o Reconditioned head • ACL forged pistons • After market injectors • FMIC • Oil catch can • Turbosmart type3 blow off valve • N1 oil pump • N1 water pump • Splitfire coils • Aftermarket fuel pump • Aftermarket fuel regulator • K&N POD filter and cold air box • Blitz Dual Solinoid boost controller • Recently rebuilt gearbox • Exedy single plate clutch • 3” exhaust from cat-back to 5Zigen tip • Microtech ECU • Adjustable exhaust cam gear PLEASE HELP ME I WANT A GOOD CLEAN SKYLINE THAT I CAN START TO MOD AND WONT BE A MONEY PIT... Regards Vlad (Vic)

This car is an award/trophy winner at the 2007 Autosalon championships. Plus WINNER of Australia's Best Small Car in 2003.The Hyundai Getz is a stylish hatch, and now even better than from the factory. It is extremely economical, it only consumes 5.7L every 100 Km. I have put alot of my time and money into this car despite others advising me not to. I do an oil change and quick service every 5,000km then National Capital does one. As you can see for yourself it looks nothing like a hyundai getz. I believe that the transfomation of this car is complete. The car has never been in a accident or damaged in any way shape or form. This car would be a perfect first car, for it is small and easy to drive. Modifications consist of. > 6 weeks old 18"x 8 BSA 321 mags (brand new rubber 90% tread) > Mirrors, door handles, and body molds have been re-sprayed > Guards have been professionally lipped, and pumped > Lowered on custom K'mac spring, still have standard springs > Interior panels have been painted blue > front bar has been cut up and mush has been inserted > TOMTOM navigation system is in the process of being fiberglassed into the A-pillar > Blue neon’s, in foot wells > Blue neon’s in doors > Blue neon’s in center dash consol > Blue neon’s in the trunk > Green interior lights have been replaced with blue LED's > Custom made Vynals > Custom made fiberglass eye-lids > Trunk has been budged and re-sprayed > 4-inch cannon muffler. > 2 x 12inch Kenwood subs > Mono block. > New Pioneer cd/dvd/wma/mp3/ipod compatible player. > Custom fiberglassed door panels with > 6inch 4ways Pioneer (240 Watts) > Black Widow car alarm, with immobilizer, shock sensor. > Special imported Altezza lights > Short shifter kit > New NGK Iridium Spark plugs (improve power and fuel efficiency) $20 each > NOS seat covers > New brake pads > Brand new battery Genuine reason for sale I have finished a 4 year project car, and now I'm looking to start another, I ashore you that all the work carried out on this car has been done professionally. All receipts have been kept. All services have been carried out (on time) by, National Capital in Belconnen, and I have been told the car is in excellent condition, both mechanically and structurally. I'm asking for 13,300 BUT FEEL FREE TO MAKE AN OFFER. This is a perfect example of a well peaced together car, which needs no work to be done to it, except a oil change every 5,000km. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS CAR (This is an everyday car for me, and I have never had a defect sticker on it. Police look and admire the car but have never stuck me with one, so for anyone out there reading this and thinking "defect" it has never been an issue and I drive it every day.) NOTE: I know this is a Skyline website, but I’m just trying to sell my car nothing more nothing less, so please if you have something bad to say keep it to yourself.
