Last time my mate did that there was a cop on the other side of the RAB. For some reason the majority of ppl in Perth just can't cope with double lane roundabouts and which lane to turn in, which lane to stay in and which lane they need to be in to go right. Is it really that hard?

*le sigh* he broke my car....again... I leave it in his care and now it is minus a sun shield thingo. Maybe I should ban him from driving again... that was so funny. I forgot to add Zombienation as a fav. So 90s but it brings back good memories of cruising.

+1 for Rammstein, but I'm not allowed to play it while the other half is in the car (not worth the hassle and complaints) Also like Linkin Park - reanimation. Ministry sessions 4, cafe del mar for sunday arvos.... Metallica Vertigo it works as well for skylines as it does for falcoons and commonwores... long live the bogan.

While I was at uni there was a report published that said "The Prodigy are the most commonly played band/DJ/music during accidents involving speed..." Hahaha, I guess everyone gets amped up listening to them?!

N/bridge Car Parks That Are Coil Over Friendly
fire_angel replied to Char's topic in Western Australia
"Go sideways at every turn" I think he just means take the hill at an angle and very slowly. The Alexander Lib carpark is def more friendly if you can get a park there. Less level changes and still close to everything in Nthbridge. -

That is absolutely awesome! And regardless of being able to turn into the far lane he should never have gone because it wasn't clear!!!! GGRRRRRRR.... hope you get compensation for all the stress and injury!

So weird but I have to agree that chicks do get away with more. First time I got pulled over I was driving a gemini that was more rust than steel, had bald tyres and had loked like it had been in a demo derby (I borrowed it to get from point a to point b). This was back in the day where red stickers were often applied to vehicles of this caliber. Anyway, I get pulled over and the guy with the moustache (what's with the moustache theme?) has a good look at the car which I know is doomed and I just act blonde and chat to him about how i'm just taking it home as a donor car. He lets me off. Hmmm... The funny thing is that I got pulled over many many many more times for RBT and speed warnings/fines in my corolla than the few in the line (over the same time period). Best of all is the attitude re-adjustment that I observe on young officers who have pulled me over for no apparent reason in the 34 and then upon walking up to my window get shocked because I'm old(er) and female, are a bit more pleasant and usually let me go after an rbt and the is this your boyfriends car question (grrrr). I think it's the ridiculous spoiler that gives them the wrong idea..... On a completely unrelated story, being pulled over doing 16 km over the limit wearing a bikini and almost sopping wet (back from the beach mid summer) got a warning in the line. Coming down reid Hwy at 8 km over the limit in the corolla, fine! Ummm, the moral of the story is less is more?

LOL at that last pic, how on earth did she "forget" to leave her park brake on? Erin, I really hope you get everything fixed up at no cost to you. Good luck with insurance!

An Amicable Discussion On P Platers And The Law.
fire_angel replied to blaizer's topic in Western Australia
I had this thought too when I heard the news... Will P platers be banned fromV8/V6 turbo 4WD? That's a little extreme.... Why are they not putting the money into driver training and education? Also when i saw this story covered on the late news they had footage of a yellow R34 doing a burnout O_O -
Marco google for stats and let me know. Switzerland is cool, they have snow and chocolate!!! And snowmobiles.... With the price of petrol and cars going up, pretty soon most p platers won't be able to afford more fuel hungry cars anyway. Most of perth really... Bring back the old 120Y!!!!!

+1 for Nicholson Rd/Yale RAB and Leach/Tonkin intersection. Also Ranford Rd near IGA (Canning Vale) so many ppl just run the intersection rather than giving way to people in the RAB. My personal fav though is the dual lane RAB intersection Shenton Ave and Marmion. It works well in theory, but too many people just can't cope with dual lane RABs, so many accidents there!

Have you seen some of the accidents they have on the Autobahn? Scary...

Not to say that the majority of p platers drive like idiots, but the ones we do notice are those that either are acting like dickheads or killing people. P plates only go for two years anyway, which isn't really that long to wait in the grand scheme of things. But if new policies/restrictions would save even a few lives it would be worth it. I wouldn't want to lose family and friends that way if it could be helped. PS. And they should make everyone drive a scooter/motorbike or pillion for a week when getting their licence so that they are more aware of traffic. Honestly the amount of ppl who just don't look for a motorbike when changing lanes... Grrr... is it really THAT HARD to check your blind spot/mirrors?

Hodges roadworks are a little messy atm....

So what should the line be? 4cyl only? or should it be a power to weight ratio? like, you can drive a big arse V8 as long as it weighs a tonne (well over a tonne, cos a tonne is pretty light for a V8)? turbo's allowed? no turbos? should it be car age related? the fast cars of yesteryear don't really compare to the family wagons of today that well... has there been a poll done?
-
Just watched another news story on it where it has become a "high powered sports car" still being mentioned as a sedan. RIP to all the car accident kills this weekend. In the US, they make everyone do a thorough driver training course in the process of getting your car license, which is what they should have here really. Not that it stops the people on the roads over there driving like crazies anyway...

Hey Andrew, why not make it yum cha and cruise, there will be plenty of light for day pics, or were you more interested in night shots? Plus Leo's always working later in the arvo.

That's really bad luck, I hope the thieves get caught and that the car can be fixed in time.....

A friend of mine had a similar and much less dramatic idea where he sunk 3 long bollards into the lawn (they went down like 3 m!) next to the kerb and then planted daisies over them to cover the pole after having someone arcing up on his lawn the previous week. a couple of weeks later there was a messed up daisy bush and half a car (exaggeration) lying on his lawn heheheheehe. Works a treat! Good luck getting the paint fixed, I'm sure karma will get the b4st4rds!
