A friend who works in one of those places that hunts for the cheapest insurance told me that... and yeah, it's crap that the smae model a year older would have different premiums. I guess it all comes down to statistics. Mind you, this was 2 years ago.

LOL, my excess is $1600 (car plus stereo excess), and that's the lowest it will go until my car depreciates a lot more. This is with a fair few listed mods and stereo, and a few tiny speeding fines listed.
