  2. Helo I ended up fixing misfire, one of the pwm digital outputs had Been enabled. the rpm value for anti lag was set at 4000 rpm which was here the misfire occurred I disabled the anti lag tested it on the road and it reved past 4k rpm to 6k just fine How so many hours were spent trying to solve that cost me about 500 dollars at. Mechanic in Melbourne After I went and bought a net book and USB to serial connector and went through all the settings In the software and had it fixed in minutes, I was a bit pissed off because I got told to send the computer to haltecb to ecu checked Tat was a other 129 dollars and it was a menu setting l Makes you wonder just ow much time these guys actually spent, when I had it sorted a simple menu error in under 30 minx, Does anyone know a dynos tuner that is familiar with skylines and haltech. I need to get it sorted properly Even dual maps so I can. Different fiuel or boost levels

Story of the car. This car has a good motor I am not sure what the previous owner did to it but has made some surprising power for the setup it has, even the owner of RE Customs came over and had a gander to see what turbo I had when it was on the dyno. After Fitting the GCG Hi Flow (second hand) , Front Mount 044 and an Emanage Blue the car made 268 rwkws on 15-16 psi I suspect the Hi Flow might have a z32 rear housing as it comes on a little later than another GCG Hi Flow fed RB25DET i drove and going by the power it made maybe this is true the E-Manage was no good for the application as it is a glorified sensor bender. and we were not able to control fuel spark purely as the factory ECU jumped in randomly. After this I drove the car rarely as I lost my license (stitched up i recon) and then injured by back and was off work for 2 years, after I got back to work I bought a Haltech E6X. the first Haltech had an issue and I had it replaced for a brand new one! Issue 1 not a big issue for someone that doesnt have a bad back and auto elec knowledge. While being tuned the following issue arose and I ran out of money to pay him so I had to take the car home untuned, It needs someone who knows about skylines and electrics, I have a feeling its something to do with the tach input as it gets to 4500rpm and bounces like a limiter, I did notice that even though the tune was not done driving it off boost it felt more free and pulled better. Once Tuned the car will make a nice drivable 260-280 RWKW ad injectors and I would expect dipping in the the 300RWKW. I might add the Injectors are unknown but I feel going by the power it made they might be SR20 ones , the previous owner had the car serviced and tweaked by nismo melbourne. The second was complete stupidity by me , in a hurry backing out of the garage I didnt realise the door was still open as the car is loud, it hit into the wall and flattened the edge and flaked the paint off. I have had quote of 1000 to fix but I picked up another strait door with the same color, so it just needs a blend of paint. the door is not fitted. I still have the old HICAS rack and the original suspension + bars the pics of the car were before I fitted the Front Mount Intercooler and the Coil Overs, Currently the car has been sitting for 6 months and is very dusty, however there is no reason with a good clean and a polish it couldn't look nice again. $8,900 As it is with all spare parts mentioned. Reasonable offers considered [email protected] 0405377747 Geelong VIC

  16. To all people that were thinking about buying this turbo Count your lucky stars you didnt . The Seller claimed approx 4000kms Like new GCG High Flow R33 Turbo 1500 bucks or somewhere thereabouts I messaged this fella and of course asked about shaft play, He claimed NONE i figured this was a fair claim when its done less than 5000ks I payed him the 1300 bucks after looking at some pics and figured it looked the goods keeping in mind 5000ks no shaft play bonza i thought, been waiting 2 years to upgrade the turbo its all happening . anyway the turbo arrives i open the box and have a squiz inspect exhaust wheel all good there , XTR actuator good , ispect the compressor wheel and housing inlet Hmm , Scores on the inlet where the compressor wheel as made contact with the housing while spinning NOT GOOD , then i figured how could this be with no shaft play???? checked the shaft play and well well well what do ya know about 1.5mm 2mm of play in and out on the shaft (causing the contact with wheel and housing) and side to side bearing play well and truly over the 1mm tolerence that GCG told me there is for expansion when warmed up . To top it all off it smokes it tits off make an un earthly noise when coming up over 5psi and is basicly sh|t This is how the topic should have read GCG High Flow R33 Turbo , Some shaft play , blown hotside seal, does work but will require rebuild $900 lesson learned Cheers
  17. I had the same problem went and baught a 60amp noise suppressor from jaycar and that didnt fix it but i left it on anyway , i even shortend the +12v cable so there was less chance of noise still just as bad. a month or so later i was doing the earth on the fuel pump and happend to move the negative cable coming from the amp heard that the noise was quieter. i changed the earthing point from the left where the cable was behind the battery to up under the parcel shelf on the right hand side with minimum length cable . fixed . hope this helps i think if your still getting noise do what the other fellas said and re earth the head unit .
