  1. Arround touwn i run 10 or 7 psi depending, and ecoconomy stil shit. The tune was done at 15 psi and rechecked for lower boost levels and all showed to be fine. Anyway tune next week so interested to find out what it is.
  2. Yeah by the board is an R33 one, not the R32 ones used in R33's. when i compared mine to a PFC, the layout was very simmilar.
  3. Green means GO, Red means Go SLOW, lol. Well my drive to work is 8 minuts at best, and i live in hobart which is hill central so it's hard to stay of boost all the time. I do give it a squirt now and then, but not like i'm going sideways evewhere. When my wife drives the car, she gets no better ecconomy then me, so either the car is screwed or she's a lead foot. LOL.
  4. CORRECTION guage is in inches of Hg so 17 in"HG not mm of Hg. DUHHHHH
  5. there is a certain amount of valve overlaop on the exhaust stroke from memory, i will rotate the cams to get the beast seal and see. I agree that wasted air = wasted fuel, but it's a bitch trying to find it. LOL. i will get another mates guage just to make sure mine is correct. The stock guage sits about half way between the bottom line and the first line from the bottom. so about -5 or what ever it is.
  6. well it is, it has the same board with a different chip. It is still much chepper to get a central 20 ecu and new chips, get the hardware form nippan and do it that way. WHAT i was really trying to say, is that is a compleatly different ecu from the current Dr Drfit R32/33 remap ecus. anyway, that's all.
  7. Well if the valve inlet is open and exhaust too, it will go straight through, correct? Anyway i'll have a go again tonight, give the old soapy water a try and see.
  8. humm there is no way that valves can be shit on all cylinders at one, unless you take the cams out, hence air goes out the exhaust.
  9. that is whay i did, but since you can hear the air go out the exhaust, it's hard to hear anything in the engine bay. Will do it again tonight to see.
  10. I did that a while ago, but teh problem is so much dam air goes out the exhaust it is hard to hear if the air is escaping through the plenum or not.
  11. Yes the car was up to operating temp and running and it was steady at 18mm HG. There was no change in idle speed and no change in 02 reading to indicate additional hydrocarbons, i used consults to dignose. I have tested the ic form the turbo to TB, held 50 psi no loss. I did also spray all the IC connections and IC itself, no change.
  12. Esentially it's like a PFC, but you need a new chip to sire a new map everytime, it's a R33 remaped computer with a socket to accept new chips, NOT an R32 computer that is currantly used to run R33 remaps. It's completely different inside to that. Dr Drift can apparantly now remap these if you like, and the Chips are $5. I have one on my car and it rocks, produced 217 rwKw at 15psi with stock turbo. I also have SAFC II form previous setup, but the fuel maps were preatty close to what i needed anyhow so the SAFC is just as an extra readout.
  13. OK OK OK So i sprayed 2 full brake cleaning cans all over the hoses, connectors all over the engine, anywhere where air could leak, and i do mean everywhere. AND nothing, no leaks that i could find at all, and the vacuum is still 17-18mm HG no more. Unless the guage is dogie, also i amm pulling it form the hose that goes to the charcoal canister, may need to re rout it.
  14. I never said it was expensive it's a great price for the kit, but if you don't ask you will never know. LOL. As much as i hate to have a PFC, it seams like the only thing that would stop my current issues.
  15. yeah the 02 is fine. OK I'll sat it again. I DON"T WANT A PFC. thanks. thanks all i'll see what the tuner says
  16. ever since i have had my car it has ideled at 17mm of HG, and i have tested every part of the car and found no leaks at all. The compression is 150 psi across the board and 2.5 psi leakdown results, so motor appears healthy. I have also replaced the PCV and so forht. Map still in SAFC checked that, plus the safc is not doing much as teh map on the chip was preatty right on.
  17. will do, maybe the injecotrs are cloged to kindom come. I have also replaced all the fuel lines as i went allong, so i don't think it's a leaking fuel line.
  18. I'll give the fuel flter a try, was replace 10k or so ago.
  19. i told you it would take 2 days to read. LOL. yeah i have nissan datascan, and no errors what so ever. The car appears to be opperating normally with no issues according to the computer. Go figure.
  20. nope kutsie a local tunner does all my work. AND nope nothing changed appart from this issue, which will take you 2 days to read as it has been an ongoing issue for the past 5 months. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=174652&hl=
  21. Well PFC are esentially what i have but the chip is a hell of a lot more expensive, my chips cost $5 ea and tune time,
  22. PFC are over rated and over priced, and retunable ecu like mine is far better, i get to keep my knock maps and so forht and a chip and a tune is $200. JUST no one does it in tas. LOL.
  23. well the car pulls like a scoldered cat, makes massive power, well feels like it anyhow. Yeah a new chip is required everytime you need a new tune. Read only chips. in regards to AFM - cleaner replaced ect- no go O2 - replaced, checked working all ok according to consults Green contacts - humm what, bad contacts, i cleaned most i think Fouled plugs - new plugs used tried a few different heat ranges ect, no diif Blocked cat (can that cause richness?) - humm cat? now where did i put that. ECU is running mega rich- possibly that is next weeks check Atmo BOV - nope stock Water Temp Sensor - checked values and cosult, appear ok. You haven't got an FPR that's turned up to some insane psi? nope but if i do makes SFA differance, have had it at 70 psi. When driving and you back off the throttle does your boost/vac gauge read -20mmHg? YEP SURE DOES.
  24. Central 20 ecu is an ecu that can be remaped for an R33, which Dr Drift can now tune and provide chips for. The SAFC II is in there mainly as an additional ready out, as i had it on the car when first purchased with the stock computer. The car was tuned with the Central 20 ecu and the SAFC II for fine tunning, untill Dr Drift comes down to tas, and i'll get a complete tune. Interesting to see why my AFR would change if i haven't touched a single thing. thanks guys
  25. did that, plus put a mates AFM on, will try again just incase.
