  1. forgot to add, there is a lot of backfiring going on. Yeah will be tunning it, just wandering if there is anything else to check over.
  2. Ok guys. so as most of you know i have had a meriod of little issues, in regards to cold starts and stubles at low rpm high boost and low TP%. HOWEVER also added to that my fuel ecconomy is shocking. It's down to 250 km per tank. That sux, use to get atleat 350 or more. The 02 is good, tried a new one made no differance. Tested for vac leaks can't find any, vac at 17mm HG at idle where is use to be always. My new splitfires come in today as my old ones got fried, so that might help a little, and the car is getting retuned next week. But surely you can't use that much fuel in a 2.5liter engine. I run 15 psi boost, all town driving, exhaust is free, no leaks in exhaust and so forht. Does anyone know if i take out the sensor form the cat, will that improve economy at all.
  3. google type in APEXI USA go to support and manuals

  8. it's a bugga, you could use my garage if it wasn't full of shit for the new house. Well i hope that most of the moving is done by then and nick has made my car runn better so i can come too.
  9. well my new coils arrive today, turned out 4 were fried, replaced under warranty. Was told it was due to improper earthing, strange. SO i ordered an R33GTST specific earhting kit for the whole car, battery boot engine ect, from teh UK, briliant kit, $130 later. Turbo arrivs this week, searching for new injectors and new AFM.
  10. yeah i know your not suppose to touch them. LOL. BUT i had to see if it was the TB cousing issues. So now i need to reste the TB back to stock. Thanks
  11. why's that GMB, what is there you need to do?
  12. Hi guys. I was wondering if someone could tell me what the correct position of the throttle body stop screw is. IE: to set, undo screw and back away form the stop, then screw in just until it touches and then a tiny bit to bring the butterfly off the wall? Need to get a rough idea thanks.
  13. consider it sold to me if you still have it. I'm in tas so i can pick it up.
  14. ohh man now i am really confused. Can you send a cam pic to me if you haven't already, i recived two pics from two different people selling cam gears and i am lost. PLEASE. but i pressume that you are the correct one. Can you PM me the pics and send payment details please.
  15. So how do i test all this, or more to the point when i go to see a electrician what do i say to hi to test?
  16. heres the link. I agree that there could be a lot of thing, i went testing everything, only to find out it was the ecu. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...mp;hl=splitfire
  17. had same issues, if it's your stock computer it actually dumps so much timming in it couses it to missfire. I got a retuned ecy removing teh R&R and problem solved. DO a search for WogsRus and Splitfires shoudl come up.
  18. EDIT: Stupid me mixed up the posts. Cam gear not sold. OPPPPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  19. cam gear sold to me pending final pics and payment. thanks
  20. yeah, 45 or something like that, fairly standard.
  21. i don't have a PFC just an SAFC II and a maped computer.
  22. yeah stock. Offcourse, you guys are free mechanics. LOL. Nope it's simply the fact that down here in Tas the mechanics capable of doing a decent job are limited. Also i much prefer to find the problem myself and learn.
  23. have you got the APEXI manual, it explaines it all in there. I can't remember of the top of my head. But it is all there. if you haven't got the manual. go to www.apexi.com and down load it
  24. Well ok so my car still appears to have some cold start issues and surging on low TP% and high boost. Basically for all those who don't know what's up read here. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=162820&hl= This is the strange thing I found out recently. IF I open the acc valve to bring the rpm up to 750 at idle, following the procedure in the book, the car will start like a dog in the morning, it feels like it starts on 3 cylinders coughs and the rest fire up, this process of coughing and carrying on takes probably 30 seconds. Unless I put my foot to the floor, it will start fine. If I set the idle to 650rpm with the acc valve bring a fair way in, the car will start fine, no problems no carrying on, hit the key, goes straight to 1200 rpm and sits there. Every time, then as it warms up it drops down ect. SO I TRIED SOMETHING . If put the fuel pressure up to 60psi and opened the acc valve up, and it started fine, so it leads me to believe it is starving of fuel. Once I get the new coils back, the car is going to Summers and Kutsie to sought out. I am sure the issue is simple, but no idea what. The mechanics will be looking at it soon, but HAS ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS???? HOW DO YOU TEST IF THE ECU IS PROVIDING ENOUGH ENRITCHMENT? ALSO I still have the issue with the following: I still have my issues with the low rpm high boost low TP% surging stuff, and no matter what I do to the fuel, it does not fix it at all. Essentially the car stops and jerks around at 2500rpm and 3500rpm, and I do mean stop and jerk. This only occurs at low tp% and low rpm but high boost, above 12 psi. If tp% is high or flat to the floor the jerking is minimal? HELP
