  1. humm your timing is supose to change as the engine is reved it is normal.
  2. yeah the water temp sensor is the thing that tells teh ecu how much enritchment to run so if it is stuffed it wont work.
  3. well boys i have had this same issue over the past 6 months, and it's a common thing, but belive me there is no sollution that i found. I had replaced everything in the car, electrical that is, all new sensors, and test and so forht, you name it we tried it, eaven a new set of injectors, no good, then one day it came good, no idea how or why, but has been fine everysince. So bugga. It's a pain in the ass to find too, seing as you only get one chance a day to diagnose it. Personaly, i would start by cleaning your AFM. Also test or buy a new Engine temperature sensor, as this oftern plays havoc with the car. also put a new fuel fulter in the car and get the injecotrs cleaned, it may be that one is leaking a bit. After that it's all trial and error. I had new AAC valve, CAS, AFM, TP, ECu temp sensor, ECU, COILS, ect ect.
  4. Basically not. I just went over the whole loome and so forth, found nothing, and one day it just started fine ever since. So all in all nope, but i do have new coils on the way as 2 of my splitfires are foulty.

  6. hello beeennnyyyy well having driven Bennys car last night, i can see why he is pissed off about it. The car is tuner rich, way rich, there is a lot more timming to play with. Overall the gar is a vast improvment on what he had, but there is a lot of work still to be done. The gearbox shifts fine, and the shift kit makes the changes nice and quick. It's very different to the manual car, because ther gear changes are so quick it doesn't feel like it pulls hard untill you look at the speedo. LOL. Hopefully with some work we can turn it inot a very quick car.
  7. white white smoke, oil, damaged turbo seal. White steam smoke, blown head gasket due to running lean. Possibly your injecotors are cloges, pump or fuel filter is on the way out To test for head gasket, take it to a mechanic and do a gas analizer, this will tell you if there are any hudrocarbons in the radiator water.
  8. well you can remove the sound deadner and put carpet back, we removed 75kg of the shit of my mates old hunter. Also light inner door panels, fiberglass door skins ect ect.
  9. Ok so if no one has one i'll get a new one, but anyone out there has a a high flow R33 turbo, aka slide or GCG one? Ta i'm in Tassie. Turbo must be in good condition running and not worn out. Thanks

I agree with GMB, i mean it is just a figure on paper, but you also would like to get your moneys worth when compared to the cash outlay, i mean benny went to a lot of trouble making aure hw had the parts and everythin was ready and all fine for a tune. I too recon you should take it back to Sheriff and ask for a retune at a cheper rate as you are unhappy with it. Oh well on the upside new coils on teh way under waranty, now it's bigger turbo time yeeehhhaaaa. got to talk to the wife first, DAm.
  11. S2 engine, and yeah uper limit of 170 lower limit of 120 so i'm smack in the middle, which is fine, don't forget with a standard turbo and boost i am pulling 217 at the rears.

  16. VG30 hybrid from slide good for 290 rwks or so. Direct bolt on, keep it looking stock, get around to doing the front mount plenum, and some other bits, Don't really want a PFC, so seing as DR drift can almost remap the ecu i have, i'll stick with that. Remove as much of the redundant polution and shit and go from there. Clutch is good for 260+ rwKw and the engine appears to be of good healt, so yeehhaa, just need to fix the dam thing.

  19. Well no i havent changed the coils over yet, i mean i did with the old coils i have but they are crap. I got a spark tester now so when i get back form Ltn i'll test it. I am still not to convinced that the surging issue is coils though. Eitherway the motor seams good, so IF i fix this thing i want more power.
  20. UPDATE: ok took car to Kutsie, he recons it's the coils dropping out and that seams weird being splitfires, but i think they still have waranty as they were broght 6 months ago. On the upside, had the compression and leakdown tested at Eurotech with mark. Compression: 1=154 2=155 3=155 4=154 5=155 6=156 Leakdown 1=2.5% 2=2.5% 3=4.5% 4=4.5% 5=2.5% 6=2.5% YEEEHHHAAAA, so the motor is mechanicaly fine. Getting a coil test performed next week and go from there. Wither way the motor is way strong and all good.

  22. just for referance guys. i rang GCG, the turbo is as follows TA34 rear trim T04 compressor wheel designed for 250rwks@18psi bolt on for R33GTST. Seals $500 and $1200 if seals and bearings.

  25. IF YOU GET THE VARIABLE PITCH INLAT TURBO, IT'S GOOD, THOSE THINGS ARE GREAT. BUT OTHER THEN THAT THE MANIFOLD WOULD NEED SOME WORK.
