  1. Hay mate, i know it's a bit bad for me to say this, but i am glad somone oles had some bad luck. LOL. Nah just kidding mate, looks like targa bit hard this year, we all managed to fall of the road. I will post pics of the hinter on monday when we gat it back from Bischino. Better luck next year for all those who are attending.
  2. Well done, very similar to my design, have a search. I found that lining the enclosure with some thermal foam helped a shipload.
  3. The grunta is in bad shape, took a hit on teh driver side, basically should have been a 2 left but called a 3, bugga. Driver and crew are ok, a bit saw and bruised. Car is fixable, but damage the suspention bad, need a lot of money again. LOL. Oh well see you all next year, i will post pics up when i get them.
  4. Not sure what happend, i'm just managing the team and built the car, as i was unable to drive or navigate due to personal issues (WIFE) So Today i had to be in hobart, recived a text 10 minuts after it happend, got on the UHF to the CROW, the stage official, and no good, can't get trough, phones off, service crew is there, waiting for a report back.
  5. doesn't make me feel any better, a lot of hard work and bang, gone, no idea on accident details, the crew have reported to be ok in both cases, need to wait fo stage close to retreve the cars. BUGGAAA. C you all in 08
  6. We are out toooo Thursday, 19 April, 2007 1.23PM 832 - Handley / Handley - Off on TS13 Weldborough Pass - crew are OK 108 - Scott / Scott - Off on TS15 Elephant Pass - crew are OK
  7. The dan times doen't match, we passed 4 cars during the day in stages, and still started 16th this morning. is there anyway of finding out correct time. The website still doesn't have correct times posted.
  8. not sure, but the website is all over the place
  9. just finished leg 1, what a releif, no times yet, small mistakes here and there, 5 people have retired from rookie class, leaving only 10.
  10. coild be the cold start valve under the intake manifold
  11. YEAH we made it through the prolouge, span out bigtime, cost us about 23 seconds, so if we didn't spin, we would have been about mid to top of feild. ATM we are LAST, so we start first today. DID some suspention work, to help the car turn in more, se how that goes.
  12. For correct wiring what you actually do is cut both wires, and connnect one wire to teh knock SAFC readout. Do the base test for knowck. Repeat on the other knock wire form teh engine, the higher of the two readings is the one you use, as this is the one that will have higher readings if the engine is detonating. Once that is done, reconnect the cut not used wire back to the ecu.
  13. what ebc is it. If it is a gizzmo and you are spiking, your responce is set to high, this will couse exactly what you are discribing. A free flowing exhaust doesn't fix boost spike, it actually makes it worse. As the exhaust is free, and it's easier for the gas to go through turbo then the wastgae, and hence spiking. Do a search for WogsRus as author and Gizzmo as topic, i have posted a few replies for simmilar problems.
  14. For instalation do a search for WogsRus in author, and AMEC in title. The calibration is VERY easy and works a charm. It is a very well made kit, check out what others have said about the white dash kit under Group Buys.
  15. well ok, i think you guys are a bit biast, so am I. The gearbox are dam strong, but synchros suck. Stock clutch will need an upgrade at 200 rwKw. The S2 Turbo i find is great, it has lived at 15 psi for ages, and no issues, pulled 217 rwKw. It's all in the tunning. THEY GUZZLE FUEL, i have been in 5 different ones, and they all eat fuel. Unless you can do a lot of things yourself, they will be expensive for others to fix, they tend to have expensive genuine compopnents, so unless you do the leg work yourself, your up for big bucks. EXHAUST MANIFOLD, i have not found a skyline yet, that has not had number 1 and 6 manifold snapped off. S1 Interior scratches up SOOOOOOOOO easily. The carpets will get holes in then in a day if cheep carpet matts are used Other then that, these cars ar up to 13 years old, so thta means that all will have some issues. BUT buy wise and you will be ok.
  16. look for us car 108 in the classics.
  17. Well atleast he has a car, we only finished putting teh motor in last night at midnight. LOL.
  18. yeah nick works wanders, he does most of his tuning on teh road, so you get much better response and so forth. Yet to do my SAFC but i hear he works wanders.
  19. sure i can find somone somewhere.
  20. hay AMEC> are you looking at puting maybe the GTST logo on them or anything?
  21. WE MADE IT, run the new engine in at 12 midnight last night, goes like a scoldered cat. LOL. Got to love teh sound of webers and trumpets at full noise. Car on it's way to simmons, Still have some painting to do to tart it up. Some more stickers to go on, and degrease the engine bay from when the motor dies. YYYEEEHHHHAAAAA, we finaly made it, look out for the car, Targa Tasmania Rookie Rally car 108, 1971 Hilman Hunter Royale GT. LOL.
  22. update, need a new angine, the one for the race blew up 2 cylinders, rebuilding now. SHIT
  23. it changes the rpm at which your auto box changes, so snow means soft low rpm changes, power holds the gear in longer
  24. dam mate, i wish i had some more cash now, my turbo will get spat inot the exhaust at 15psi.
  25. Hay Scott, recon she'd be a bit tooo big for the rb25???
