500km to a tank is GREAT, i only got close to that running 100% stock. I'de be luckt to see 350km in town , very short trips to work and back, about 15km, so car bearly gets warm. -

humm on a stock ecu, that is ok. If you got an SAFC II or something you would see a higher figure. I picke dup 30rwks, simply by having a stock ecu and an SAFC II, as my car was super ritch. I made [email protected] psi with stock ecu and SAFC II. -
I have changed the 02 sensor not long ago. BUT looking at the diagram, you can see that the cat temperature probe does give inputs and outputs to ECU pins. I know the one on the R32 only doe s alight, but the R33 has 3 sensors in line wiht the probe. So i think it might do a little more then just a light.

Hi Toff. Yeah well when i did teh compression test, the car started fine the next two times, so possibly i bumped a wire somehere and made things all good. No idea. I think it is something simple too, but not sure what. My fuel ecconomy sux though, i have been getting 300-350 out of a tank, use to get a hell of a lot more, but the plugs all look thesame. The Injectors are stock, and have not been cleaned ultrasonicly or anything, but the plugs look identical, so i presume that it is actually ok. I went to goranges yesturday, and they did that sniffer test, teh one when you hook up a probe to measure the hydrocarbons in the water, and it came back negative, didn't eaven budge, but that still does not rule out the head gasket. I had a bitt of a fiddle last night, and i took out the hose to the cold start valve and found allthough you could blow through it, it wasn't easy to do so, so maybe that is the culprit, when warm it is fully closed, so it does work, but possibly not oppening fully. So i think it is eathier fuel or headgasket, or a sensor, could be AFM, warm up. LOL. sound slike a lot of ors. In regards to the flat spot, nope mate, have a look at my Kutsie take 2 post, the new computer sorghted all that out. I need to get a hold of consults for myself, that way in the morning i can plug it in and see what it does. The thing that sux the most, is that seing as you can only do it when cold in the morning, it is hard to diagnose the plroblem any other time. ALSO, how much would you charge to do a leak down test done. I can come and take all the plugs out and so forth. PM me if possible. The hunt continues.

So has anyone ever worked out how this Probe works? Ie affects on fuel ecconomy and so forht.?

If you look over this diagram, you will see that it's all connected somehow. BUT i have no idea how it works. I don't want to just cut it, so where is the plug for it to see if it makes a differance.

Now i have been getting some shoking ecconomy 100km for 1/2 tank. So i have been reading this post http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...3095&st=400 page 9 i think, where it states that the ecu takes the cat temperature into account, so it it is really hot, it leans it out. I have a full dump and a gutted cat, and i have seen the manifold glow red before, I was wondering if the sensor could couse crap fuel ecconomy? If i disconnect that temperature plobe, what will happen, and how do i go about dissconnecting it. Thanks

no issues on mine so far, well actually plenty of issues, but none related to power output. I made 217 at the treads on stock turbo. Saying that, need to check my head gasket, as it may be blown. LOL

who are you talking about. ME. i did it with throttle closed i think. Humm will do again tonight. But the range is 1.2 MPa which is 175pis, that is NEW from facotry. Limmit is 0.9 MPa, so that is 130 Psi with 0.1 MPa differance between. So still sweet. My engine has done 80K so expect lower compresion. BTW mine is for an R33 GTST 95 series

yeah i am preatty sure i saw a cluase stating "IF WOG TOUCHES THIS CAR ALL CLAMES BECOME NULL AND VOID" Lol The car runs a charm all other times, just a dog to get started. DAM IT. She is fine warm, juts not cold.

Hay Toff. back to stock, humm, not really, well time wise anyway. I have most of the parts, but the shear time invilved would be impossible to do so. What i have done: Fuel pump, and fuel filter. Going to put a new one in tonight and check that the antidrain valve on the tank is working. New 02 sensor, have old, can try it, but i recon it won't make anyy differance New ECU temp sensor, old was seamed ok, but the new one is definalty better, replace new with old, made no differance. I have cleaned the AAC valve a few times now, and checked opperation, and i think that is working ok, i can adjust it with consults and it changes the rpm and so foth Cold start valve, has not been checked as yet, i will see if i can test it properly tonight. FMIC, there was no issues after this was fitted. The central 20 ECU, ran the car fine for ages, it only started to be a dog in the last 2-3 weeks. Stock one sold, so i can't test that. I have not checked injectors as shuch, i want to try all the things i can do for free, as i am sick of chucking money at the thing. I am aslo going to check the radiator fluid to see if i don't have a head gasket problem anywhere, last night my water was low, which seamed strange, but the car doesn't blow any steam, or smell sweeet, or bubble through the radiator. Kinda getting pissed off, i don't really want to spend more money on the thing, wife getting a bit enoyed and so forht. I did a consult check and the the error code 13 and 21 came up. 13 is ecu temp sensor, started 13 times without this??? Going to investigate. 21 ignition signal, started 9 times with this, i pressume it's from when i did a compression check on the car, hence why no ignition source. Commpression was an almost dead even 150psi accross all the cylinders, have not performed a leak down as yet. This morning once again, the car was a odg to start. Howeve, if i just tap the accelerator on startup, the car goes fine, no splatter or anything. So i am leaning towards a fuel delivery problem or something to do with cold start. Anyway, toffy do you have a radiator pressurisation thing, to see if i have a blow headgasket. I hope i don't, don't want to spend more money on it. Should have taken the extra warranty. LOL.

Yeah i guess that sound fesable, as is, after 4500rpm or probably a bit lsee, the car will be fine. So maybe it still has some inbuilt protection.

Well ok so my R33 has been funny, allong with some other issues, like cold start. No idea what is going on. The car has been tuned and so forht, and runs great normally. However, i have some funny surge with the car. At 2500 rpm, in second if i floor it, boost comes up to 14 psi, as preset, and the car kinda surges, well it accelerates, then stops a bit, goes to 3500 and takes off agian and stops a bit, and then form 4500rpm it's fine, no issies at all. What can this be, It only doe sit on higher boost settings. BTW the turbo is stock, and i don't normally run it at 14 psi. Car mods as per my sig.

Not a lemon, it was fine untill i touched it. LOL. I can't sell it, cos it owes me money. If i sell it i would b lucky to get 16K for it. LOL.
