  1. BMS? who that?
  2. humm sure it's not the Hydroelastick castor bushes, mine did that, dripped on the tray and worked it's way to the back of the car, think green oil. Check your bushes.
  3. i know this is silly, but i took the vacume off the bov, so it wouldn't open, and i got teh flutter sound, but the car was soooo lagy and didn't want to boost past 5psi, the dam thing sucked. Is that what normally happens when you block on teh BOV. mind you i have connected it back up, it was just being silly.???
  4. Just Jap ally radiators are good, about $300 or so. I have seen two now, VERy good build quality.
  5. GMB i am sure i can come arround sometime for a couple of hours, atleast to help you pull the clutch out, got to talk to the missis as she has the weekend off and it's her first weekend in a while, but i'll let you know. I have some basic tools, one of then tool sets, does all the thing i need on the skyline so who know. If the box is anything like on the liner, you will need a massive extension to get to the top bolts of the box, if there is no room. I don't have any, i did my clutch at my mates place. Anyway i'll keep ya posted.
  6. i think the venst are electrical, as they can be operated without the car running. Not sure how to fix it though.
  7. you need to trim the stock plastic fornt bar to accomodate for the piping and FMIC. I had to trim about 4cm of mine to fit and it looks good no problems at all. What needed to happen was to install the top pipe and cut the hole in the guard to accomodate that position. If i did mine as per instruction it would have possiblt not allined as well as it has. All the welds on mine look A1, my mate is a welder and was very supprised when he saw it.
  8. like i said, mine fited nicely, no problems, no nothing, exactly how and wher it should have gone. YOU just need time and make sure everything is allinged, the hole in the right place, and so forth.
  9. Don't know whatyour on about. IT TAKES TIME AND PATIANCE. one of my mates put his in and took 4-5 hours but things didn't line up, mainly because he rushed it and cut the hole wrong and so forth. I have the same kit, took me most of the day but i was doing other things at the same time, one hole, didn't have to move the washed bottle, didn't come close, and it fist like a glove. I had the cooler on and off about 12 times to make sure it allined and fitted how i wanted it. I din't modify any of the pipes, and they were exactly the same as my mates. So i think maybe you did something worng?
  10. You have to make sure you check out all the "word" in the act, each deffenition is what i mean. I know this is a bit childish and so forth, but can i say what i stated is correct then?
  11. you can always put some thermofoam behind the light, but i presume the differance would be neglegable.
  12. OK so we are setteled then. All good everyone happy. GOOD stuff. OK move on. GTRgeoff, thanks you explain it a lot better the me, i'm a wog and words don't come so easy. But thanks. Like i said, if you have the balls to do it, anything can be provenb, just need the know how to do so.

  14. shut up, atleast my car goes, you just gave up and sold yours. LOL. WHINGE WHINGE WHINGE,
  15. HAY IS THIS STILLLLL ONNNNNNNN? SEING AS IT's Pissing down with rain
  16. yess you will get defected, bout you can get off. I did, just have to know your right.
  17. all good mate, hinkmaybe my motor s a bit stuffed, or the track is a bit missalined.
  18. i go up to lton a lot, i'll have to come and have a look.
  19. by accurate i mean it's about 85-90% true. NOT that the actual model is wrong, just can't model all the curvs. BUT a true representation if you know what i mean.
  20. I was trying to state that not EVERY CURVE can be modeled. If you knew anything about engineering you would know that as long as the same variables are kept constant and the models do not chage, then if the differance is a certain percentage, you can state that this would be the same percenatge in real life. There are guidlines for this trust me.
  21. i got off, just had to prove it and it is all good. NO NO NO I am saying that is what the other engineers do as that is what has been done for so long, many of them do not understand the physics behing the problem, it is just what has been done for so long. I am saying that IF and that is a BIG IF, FOR SOME UNKNOW REASON that area is cracking due to stress, then there is an underlying problem in the chassis, ie it has been damaged or twisted before. THE GUARD is NOT A STRESS MEMBER. maybe that makes a little more sense. In regards to the cals, i put the car frame, as best as it could be drawn, in a program called SPACE GASS, it's an enginerring software used to design structual design. The model was runw ith and without the hole and that was the error found. Offcourse the actuall model is by no means an accurate representation of the car, the program limits the geometry that could be modeled, i mean the compex curves are TOOOO dificult to do. I made a model as best as the software would allow me and then did it with a hole and without the hole.
  22. hay budy, did it work ok when you had it in teh car, i have one, but it gets stuck at times and i have no idea why. So how well did it work. I am in Hobart
  23. NO I am saying every tom dick and Harry will tell you to put in a ring, but it doesn't make any difference. I got mine with no ring cos I could prove to them that it makes no difference. BUY for all you commoners; you will most probably need to put in a ring, cos that is what EVERYONE does. BUT not me. BUT the topic asks is cutting a hole legal, and yes it is, if you know what to do and how to do it. MY point with the ring is that all normal engineers who don't bother doing any calcs, will just put in the ring to minimize stress fractures, as that is what has been done for the past 300000000 years. Like I said if you have problems with stress fractures in that spot, then there is already an underlying problem with the car, such as a bent or damaged chassis. SO NO I am not agreeing with you. LOL. COME on I have to be difficult.
  24. woolls, i'll get some on monday, you can only get it form TasCon on argyle street and i know the guy so i can get it for free, or you can go in and for a carton of beer you can have as much as you want. offcuts ofcourse. PM me and we'll chat
