  1. yeah well i park near the water, so nice and cool sometimes, and scorching hot other times. I wasn't that i think the car has issues, but it's the first car that i owned with a turbo, and you certainly notice it.
  2. Well i don't actually think i have a problem as such, i have checked everything, leaks, gaskets, sensors (replaced two) new O2 sensor, tuned, timming, new pump, ect ect. The only thing that i am 100% sure is that all my studs on th eexhaust manifold are OK, i did not pull all the heat sheild off to have a look at it. But for example this morning, it run great, pulled dam hard, actually felt the 187rwkws it has. But other times it feals slugish and slow. Also my coils are shot to shit, gap down to .6mm, so i don't think that is helping.
  3. Hi do you know if these will fit an R33 GTST Series 2 with inbuilt ignitors. So did you have any arcing out or any problems? Can you measure the resistance between the Left pin and the Ceter looking at the coils, to see what condition the promary coil is on.
  4. Well hi all. It's propably just me or it's my car, but it seams that the car never, ever runs exactly the same twice. On some mornings it pulls like a 6 year old, and other it's as flat as kansas. Everytime i get in the car it seams to go differantly. I know the weather has a lot to do with the way it runs, especialy having a large intercooler fitted ect, but it kinda sux. Does anyone else find that their car runs different at many times, or it is just mine? I still have the stock ECU with an SAFC II, dump pipe and exhaust, new pump, HKS pod, running 10psi boost, FMIC and some others, managed 187 rwks at 10 psi. I just find, and this could be still the problem with the stock ecu, that they have so much controll over what happens, that the car just doesn't seam to be thesame twice. I have changed the temp senosr, 02 sensor and checked a few others, doesn't seam to have any problems. ANY IDEAS???????

    Parts For Sale

DO you have any details onwhat chipe you have in your ecu ect?
  6. simple fix, got some cut and polish and cut the plastic, do this a couple of times, by hand, and depending on the grade on the cut polish, either do it up and down, or across. Then use normal polish a few times, and no probs, nice and clean. Just a lot of elbow grease
  7. It pays to be your own engineer. LOL. sorry smart as anwser, i do all my work myslef, and certify it aswell.
  8. what was the actuall problem with the bov, was it letting air through?

  10. i have had my SAFC II tuned but for some reason my midrange is a good 30Kw down on everyone elses cars with same setup. RE: Look at this post. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=126563&hl= So i figure an ecu without any boost cut ect might help
  11. H all well i have possibly broght a mines ECU for an R33. Now i know they are tuned for jappan ect ect, but i have read that they do ok. It's cheep and i alreday have an SAFC II and all the mods to go with it. With my stock ecu i pulled 187rwKw, but the midrange on mine sux. SO the ecu has the following: mines golden garantee plaque and its number '1178' then its got a silver nissian sticker with P5 237010 MEC-R523 A1 4802 Hitachi, Ltd. Tokyo Japan Previous Owner got 262hp running fmic, 3" exhaust, crapy pod filter and stock boost. So is it worth it? also, do the mines ecus usually have the boost cut and speed cut removed?
  12. nope no miss fire no nothing, the AFR was almost spot on and constant?
  13. I saw this on a car advatised on eBay. Is this really true, it looks to have a split intake connecting to the plenum, is this common or what?
  14. well somone dignose my dyno chart, cos i put in my figures and this is what i got. I have a 3" exhaust and dump, high flow pump, SAFC II, plugs gapped at .65mm, HKS pod, FMIC, stock turbo, I made 187rwks at 10.2 psi with boost spike, my boost controller shit itself. I have crap coils, and i am about to get new ones, but as you can see, i make a lot less power through the rev range and then bag, it goes of it's nuts. What the hell can it be, the coils, the tune what is it. and how do i fix it
  15. how much with the leads, i am actually thinking about going for the same setup. What are the main coils, AU S1 or VM coils. Also how much for the ignitor and coils and leads all up matie? VERY INTERESTED.
  16. "denile" LOL, never heard that one. HIHIIHIHIH. Been there done that, down here in tas, with teh new hoon laws, you can get fined for farting to loudly, lol.
  17. ok if you take offers i'll give you $50 for S2 coils, unless tested to see if they are ok, then will give $80 for a set of 6.

    Fuel

dam you all, i get nowhere near that unless i am on the highway all the time or something. down here is tas, the higway is only 200k long, so it still doesn't get good fuel ecconomy.
  19. yes you can strengthen it, you will need to weld in some steel to ensure full regidity of the front bar, this can be done by a metalshop. I am going to do so to mine and then certify it myself. It pays to be mechanical enginner sometimes.
  20. sweet, thanks mate, just asking, i don't want to blow anything else up
  21. what plugs are you running, and also what gap, try 0.8mm and see how that does, if not go to 0.7 and then 0.65mm. Mine ar at 0.65 as when it gets dam cold here in tas, the air is so dence, the mixture is very hard to ignite, and my coils suc
  22. why would you get defected for a PFC??? Maybe things are more leanient here in tas, but as long as it's a min 100mm of the ground and no more then 96dbA, your fine
  23. What on earth would make you say that. Not my fault i am anal about everything, well ok it is, that's the engineer side comming out. The car is fine. ONE is allowed to ask a question. I need to ask as i don't know if it could be a problem. SO once again why do you think i broght a dud car?????
  24. will check it later, c what it does
