  1. nope, i'm with shannons and i have up to $500 claim without haveing to pay anything as long as i can provide receipts and fill out a report to the police. And it's not rice factor, i need to know what the knock and correction are doing, especially when you are fine tunnign the maps, to hard to do from the glovebox. Each to his own.
  2. hay mate, thanks for that, sound a lot easier to do that. So it's the fatest wire to the plug that goes to the coils, PERFECT. So i still need to take the cover off. Anyway of doing it without taking the cover out??
  3. hay i got a secret. I found out that the way they do the timming, is to take out coil one and put a leed to it and the spark plug and use the timming light form that, or got to nissan and pay $50 to get it checked. I'm going to borrow a light and see if this works.
  4. if somone steels mine, i get a new one, under insurance, for free, plus i actually want to be able to ready what the values are.

  7. Hi guys. How do i check timing on the R33, It has coil over plug and my timing light is one of them old types. Need some help. Anyone have the right gear. Thanks
  8. my stock pump did not go above 45 psi, it was dead. Form memory it is suppose to be 2.5 bar = 37.5 psi at idle. IE: no vacume just atmospheric. Get a new pump just incase yours is dead.
  9. so basicaly you can't hear it at all then? Or is there some performance loss if it pings and knocks ect?

  11. Hi all. So i know what each is, but how do i dignose it. I keep thinking i keep on hearing things in my R33. How does one tell if the engine is knocking or pinging. I have fitted an SAFC II and i hardly get any knock maybe up to 15 or so. The car pulls HARD and EAVEN all the time, but somethimes i swear to god i am hearing something like knocking or pinging, but the car does not stumble or anything, no missing, no smike nothing. ( hard to tell with 3.5' exhaust and HKS pod) So how does one tell by ear if anything is happening. What noises can you tell from, and symptoms. ALSO how do i check timming, i have a series 1.5 so a series 2 ignitor on coil, no idea how to connect things up. What are the timing setting suppose to be at idel ect???? HELP ME FROM GOING INSANE
  12. could be, but i reaealed mine over the weekend, and it is nice and air tight, makes a nice phsssss sound when you open it. Still does it though.LOL.
  13. yeah i need to lower her a bit, propably only an inch, but my driveway is wayy to steep for that so untill i get my own house, no good on that one. No ritch grandmothers, interest free, LOL.

  15. Well i am working on it. I will wire the pump in to direct feed on the weekend, and also stuff arround with the fuel reg. I will check the TP sensor ro ensure it is calibrated ok, and go from there. It's one of those weird things. I also changed my ECU temp sensor, which made a bit of differance, but now when the car is COLD, the rpm go up and then down and then up and stay at 1300rpm till she is warm. BLODY CARS. LOL.

  18. lol, exept mine is the R33 syndrome. Yeah it's a bit funny, i will sorght it out. I have a funny fealing it's teh fuel pump, as it is not direct wired, will sought that out ASAP and get back to you. "skylinecouple" I do all the work myself, as much as i can, i don't trust other nimwits to screw up my car. If it is major, then it goes to a workshop i know well. As far as i know, all WALBRO pumps have an antidrain valve fitted, mine did. you can get inline ones and put them in the tank, only cost about $30 from bosch
  19. NOPE, sorry, i had to babysit my son as my wife was at work. SOO i went to the Hill Climb instead. Also did a few littel things on the car. Got a funny problem, i think it's cos the fuel pump drops to low voltage because it is not direct feed as yet, the car has a funny hang up at 1000rpm on the way down. If you blimp the throttel, the car hags at 1000rpm and then drops down. I will direct wire the pump into place on the weekend and do the alarm, well posibly, Also going to clean the ACC valve, see if that had anything to do with it. Does anyone know if the cluth on the R33 is vacume fed. I have noticed that when i put my clutch in the rpm drops. The car is great, preatty perfect, but i like making it well better. there has not really been anything wrong with it, just me being anal.
  20. WELL NOOO BLODY GOOOODDD. The neck in EPOXIED into place, and NO way i can move it. I tried everything without making any marks on the neck, but still no good. So have to get a new neck i think and go from there. Anyone have one

  25. the antidrain valve is usualy fitted in the fuel tank, so you always have fuel in the line. Try Auto Service Solutions in Collin street on 62313499 they have boch and walbro pumps and valves to suit. Thats where i got my GSS342
