HI Guys. Well I live in Tas, and I have always wanted a skyline, now I might finally be able to get one. I am about to lave for Europe, but upon my return in 2 months time I want to try and get one ASAP. So I need some help. I have performed a search but not enough info. I was wandering what you guys thought of Australian car compliance, and if anyone had dealt with them. What I am after is a Series 1.5 maybe even a 2 if the price is right, R33 GTS-T Type-M with sunroof. The car can be basically stock as I enjoy doing all the work on cars myself, being a mechanical engineer and all. These are my preferred colours. (WHITE) WHITE GUNMETALL BLACK SILVER NOT WINE RED, UHHHHHHH I have about 15k to spend, but I am after best deal for my money, so if it has slightly more kays but more mods, it's a better choice, ect. The car needs to have about 80k on the clock, as I drive a LOT, in as good of a condition as you can get. Need to be straight no accident ect. No resprays, I’m too weary of those. It needs to be a manual. The car must be in Vic so I can come and pick it up, unless someone does all the groundwork and I pick it up. Basically a car that you would want to buy for yourself. ALSO for all those who are interested, I will be looking to buy my car when I get back from Europe, in 3 months, so lets say early august to mid September. When I come to buy I will give $100 to the person that finds me THE car. No gimmicks or nothing, if you find me a car, and check it out for me, and it is the ONE that I buy in the end, you will get $100 scouts honour and even a contract if you like. SO keep an eye out all. PS. That was my point. If you have the money, go for it. But for those who don't race, and simply want something that will put a grin on their face, evertime they step on the loud pedal, then this is a very good option. Thats all. No offence to anyone.

Actually anodising can be done by youreself. i know Bunnigns use to sell a product that did copper and steel. i presure it couls be used on alluminium. It will make it go black. Check it out.

Mate if your in Tassie try Tru Wheels in Launceston on Bathurst street. There is a also a guy in Devenport that does really good job on wheels. I have seen him rebuild ones that were compleat write offs. He can machine up new bits, weld and cast. I will get his number for you, but if you ring Bob Jane in Moonah, they have his contact details. They can arrange everything for you.

there is KKR430 turbos going for $600 buy now or $490 for auction on eBay. Have a look simply tupe in KKr430 in reach. you will need a dump pipe to suit ($190) but the turbo mounts onto any T3 flange. Simply rotate the housing to suit. The wastegate actuator rod may need to be bent a littel for clerance.

Well i want to get and can easily achive 250rwKw. So im going to get a PFC and basic guages. As far as i can see all i really need is an accurate Boost Gauge, and Oil pressur guage and that's about all. Anything else i should have.

these must be series 2 coils series ones are different, atleast they are on my mates seddan. the coil goes all the way arround, so the only way to fix any cracs is to epoxy the entire thing, as we did. simply dipped the whole thing in 2min epoxy, worked well.

So basicaly get a PFC and gauges, or a SAFCII and gauges. Cool thanks guys

I tired to do a cad drawing but i am missing a dimention. The one that shows the distance form the bottom main plate to the righ hand side. The one on the right is 22mm but i need the opposite side. Also i have modified it a littel so once finished i will post it up. It looks good. I had to fuge some of the mesurments. I have got a qute to get these laser cut and it will cost about $5 for each item and about $8 in SS.

well my mate brought a sedan and has stained covers, very simple to fix, follow this procedure. 1. Buy a Automotive body cutting compound. The stuff you use as a first polish on a car after a new paintjob, it is quite corse and green. Apply to rug and polish the plastic. Do this by hand, or with a non-rotating buffer. A rotating buffer tends to swirl to much. Once the polish is dry buff off. 2. Get some normal cut and polish, form autobarn, cheep stuff is ok. Apply and buff and polish as per normal. Do this twice, possibly 3 times. 3. Get some GLASS POLISH, it is used for polishing windows. Autobarn has this. Apply as per instruction. Depending on how well step 2 worked, you may only need to do this once. I have no pics but my mate was stocked and the covers look like new and very shinny. PS. I take no responsability if somone stuffs one up, but i has worked for us.

Hi guys. Well i willbe getting my car as soon as i get back form europe in 3 months, but am looking into getting things ordered before i go away so i don't have to wait when i get back. My question is, for all those who have a PFC, do you use it as your main guage, ie use it to read boost pressure, knock, AFR, ect. or do you still have the guages to go with it. I want my car to look stock i don't particuraly like many guages, so hence why i am asking. My other option is to not get the PFC and simply get a SAFCII and some basic guages and hide them away somehere. Which way to go. How accurate is the PFC at boost pressure ext, do you require anyhtign extra to read boost with a PFC. Thanks

Oh ok, sorry not being rude or anything, just not quite sure understanding why. How does the rules change in respects to what can be imported under race rules ect. Is it becaue of modifications or something. On that note, being a newbie, can somone point me to a good page where all that information and defenitions are explained. thanks

so can that be changed at all, i mean if i took it into a complance place why could they not comply it. If it has no rust and is stock ect and meets all the rules, it should be able to be regestered. Sorry i do not know all the in and outs of importing, only new to the scene hence the newbie questions.
