  1. no 2 ways about it simo, gotta go the 25. The 20's just dont feel like they have enough tourque. I know its much cheaper to keep the 20 but i dont regret a single cent i spent getting rid of my 20.
  2. hmm pretty hard to guess but probably gonna be somewhere between 340 and 380 rwhp? Im no expert though. As far as 1/4 mile time, my old man had a GTR with 396rwhp and he did a 12.3 the first time he took it down. A few people in the know said it should run better times than that with an experienced driver.
  3. My car finnally hit the dyno today! 310rwhp. Thats a mild tune to run the motor in, but i think thats still going to feel pretty bloody impressive considering my only previous mod was a pod filter and a cat back exhaust. It did go as high as 348rwhp on 15 psi but 310 will do for now. Thanks for everyones advice and interest.
  4. I gave Him my car aout 7 weeks ago. The deal was though, because i have a daily driver he would do the job cheaply if he could work on it in between jobs. Dunno how long it would take if someone worked on flat out.
  5. I was dreaming. Still no dyno. I cant push the guy though, if I was paying him by the hour the job woulda cost me twice as much. I just got the word he wants it out by friday so now i have a good chance of driving it for the weekend!
  6. I have wondered the same thing. If it wasnt better to have it you think they would have worked it out in the first few years
  7. I work for a car yard and get a company car, so my daily driver is different nearly every day. I wouldnt know what to suggest because they are all so damn BORING to drive! Even after driving so many different cars, every single one leaves me hangin out to get my ass back in the 32. If you are set on gettin something though an old corolla or corona is probably best
  8. There is no limit to then number of cars you can have under your name. As long as your paying your fees, rego etc. DPI wouldnt care.
  9. $11500 ? thats a cheap car. Who did you go through to buy that?
  10. Well he has $13,000 at the moment so il just what comes up in the next week or 2. I think a bodykit wouldnt be too far down the track if he bought a S1
  11. ok so its nearly all cosmetic. Thanks for that
  12. Yeah i agree, but i was more refering to internally. Did they change the motor, gearbox.. etc. ?
  13. Hey everyone just after a bit of advice. My brother is just about to buy a r33 4 door. He asked me is it worth paying the extra couple of grand to get series 2? I wouldnt really know because i drive a 32, so If some of you 33 drivers out there could enlighten me on some of the differences between S1 and 2 it would b much appreciated. Cheers. Ben
  14. If the walbro arrived today then im praying for a dyno friday or saturday! then be cruising on sunday. I could be dreaming though
  15. Cheers frost. nah didnt end up using the fuel reg yet. Gonna see how it goes on the dyno first with the gtr reg. Thanks Mitchy, the colour of the motor against the yellow i wasnt actualy to keen on when i first saw it, its growig on me but. The wiring is done nismonewf, the photo is a week old.
  16. just some pics of the progress so far for those interested
  17. I saw Anthonys run, it was bloody awesome! So good to see the 2.6L make the blown 6Litre, they had on just before, look like a deawoo haha!
  18. My grandparents wanted to get me plates for my 21st as well. After ages of trying to think of something clever/funny i gave up and went for [5KYLINE] custome plates do look alot better than the blue and whites but i can imagine they make you an easy target. I havent had any problems yet but time will tell. I had these written down as well SKYLIN3 5KYL1NE there are heaps of variations.
  19. Thats good news about the gearbox droo, im hoping for at least 6 months out of it, driving only on weekends. Sounds like you got you got away with your conversion pretty cheaply redline. Did you do some of the wrok your self to keep costs down? I think the gts4 is easier as well coz you can use the same sump and things like that? My motor is finally in! all thats left now is wiring in the microtech then its off to the dyno next week! Im so excited i just did a little bit of wee
  20. My car is nearly finished and i still urgently need a high flow in tank pump for it, preferably walbro 500hp. If anyone has one they want to part with please PM me or phone 0413 448 273 I am located in Perth but would be willing to buy interstate if its the right article at the right price. Cheers. p.s. car is r32 gtst
  21. hey gotboost. yeah i know your car i have seen it around before. It was one of the cars that inspired me to go for the conversion. So far its going really well. I pick up the microtech ECU tomorow and most of the fiddly things are done like making the oil sump. I am replacing the big end bearings in the motor to be on the safe side. Im hoping to be driving it next weekend at this stage, but these things ALWAYS take longer than expected. Spewing its not done for the cruise!
  22. See if you can pick this front bar it came on my old mans GTR from japan. Im guessing its a r33 300R bumper modified to fit a 32.
  23. mine wont quite be that powerful but thats what i was mainly wondering, how much of a handful is it going to be in RWD? Its only a light car. But im sure it will be fun as long as i keep it in one peice haha
  24. if it will drop into my r32 without any problems consider it sold
