Chef - Was there something similar running in SA, in that you could bring in a carbody take your current car and transfer all parts into the imported vehicle and legally get a new VIN? Or was this only a VIC loophole?

Just bought but they dont fit my motor. Flow tested at 580cc at 3 bar fuel pressure (factory fuel pressure). Direct drop in for RB25, Red Tops, unsure what brand, look like nismo but unsure. Details: JECS Made in Japan A46-00 0C55 3722 $450 (will consider swaps for RB20 550cc+ injectors)

That really sucks, sorry to see what some scumbags do. Hopefully your insurance pays you out and you can buy something bigger and better. Dont let thieving pricks put you off imports, as much as its sucks for them to trash your car.

Not worth buying, A very average example asking a bit of coin. The holes in the metal shouldn't be there, possibly from the factory tow hook being taken off? Either way it will fill up with moisture over time which i bad + all the other things you have mentioned and look closely under the air filter in the engine bay, looks to have had a small hit because the metal is bent around the pipe work. Stick to private sale and when you think you have found one and have looked at everything, if your still happy get an independent test.
