this is spot on. minimum hour wage over here is something like $15 an hour. in the states it is roughly half that at around $7.50 to $8 an hour. so companies in australia could sell stuff at the same price as the states if everyone decided to halve they pay. at the end of the day though everyone would come out with the same amount of money (relatively speaking).

how is it skewed? the speed you will get out of a gear is determined by the gear ratio and rev limit. power has nothing to do with it. you could have a skyline putting out 800hp but if it's running the stock gear ratios and stock rev limit it will do no faster in each gear than a stock skyline. the only exception to this is 5th gear where the stock skyline will probably run out of puff before it hits redline while the modified one would be able to hit redline, but the theorhetical top speed is the same.

welcome LOL at the ford territory wheel on the drivers rear
-
are you using a turbo gearbox or the stock natro one? if the stock one then expect it to break if you up the power. also does your car have a lsd or are you putting one in? if not then expect to get wheelspin unless you have good quality tyres (especially in the wet).

series 1, 1.5 and 2 all run the same engine and body but they have a few minor differences. some of the plugs are different on the engine and the s1.5 and s2 have a nylon compressor wheel on the turbo instead of the steel wheel on the s1. they all still have the ceramic exhaust wheel which is the weak spot. the coil packs used on the s1.5 and s2 also have the ignitor built into them while the s1 has an external ignitor like the r32 does. body wise the s1.5 has the same panels as the s1 but has the s2 wing. the s2 runs different headlights, bonnet and front guards as well as different front bar and the skyline rear garnish is colour coded instead of being clear (but you will see many s1's and s1.5's with them painted to look like a s2). interior wise the s2 has a slightly different dash surround, different trim (on seats and doors) and different steering wheel. that is most of the differences.
-
all the series 1.5's that i've been in had s1 interiors. i know a few have had the s2 interior put in them, and it may be that if it is a very late model s1.5 then it may have the s2 interior. or it could be that your car is actually an early 96 model. might be worth running the vin through nissan fast to see what it says. my compliance plate was slightly different to what fast said (only a few months different)

series 1.5 has series 1 interior, not series 2. only has series 2 wing and engine.

no matter who is driving the r31, unless the rex is running on 3 cylinders or has some other servere mechanical issue it will hose a r31. maybe you guys need to learn to tell the different between a rx or gx impreza and a wrx.
-
i wouldn't say they do it easy. they might do it, but they would be bashing on the limiter. a commodore or falcon would be close to doing it in 3rd as well. in fact i think the missus SSS would be close to doing it in 3rd as well as the gear ratios in it are pretty close to that of a skyline.
-
i'd have to wear a mask with a paper bag over the top of that to drive one though. they are just one of those cars that no matter how fast it may be it will always have the stigma of being one of the gayest/girliest cars on the road. it's right up there with a new beetle

Are The Front Spotties On R33 S2 Illegal?
mad082 replied to AngryRB's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
firstly they are 'apotties' as spotties are activated with high beam and designed for much better visibility. what you have are fog lights. yes they are illegal, regardless of how bright they are. the ones you see on falcons, etc are also illegal as the same rules apply, so don't use the "they have them on so i should be able to as well." the general rule is that if they have a seperate switch to turn them on then they are illegal. if they come on when you turn the lights on then they are driving lights so they are legal. this doesn't mean that you can rewire them to try and beat the rule as it is based on how they are wired from standard. -
both. series 1.5 was only made in 95. they were sort of a bridging model with bits from both s1 and s2 (generally s2 motor and rear wing with s1 body and interior), and the series 1.5 was the only series to have an urban runner as one model, but then my info may possibly be wrong but it is generally reliable.

no worries mate. there were 3 threads i merged, not 2. the preworkout supplement thread was similar to this supplement thread (at least the supplement disccusion side of things).
-
so working in a bike shop and being a keen cyclist isn't being interested in fitness? besides, you don't have to like posing in front of a mirror flexing to post in this thread, since it is also about well being
-
'clenbuterdo' (alberto contador) tested positive to this during/after last years tour de france.
-
what? didn't make sense having 3 threads about the one thing.

could also be a stale fuel issue. how long ago did you actually fill up? you said the car was last started in may but how long before that was fuel put in?
-
also good for picking up your boyfriend in..... i don't care how good of a car they are, they are about as butch as a pair of stockings. even my missus thinks any guy who drives one has to be gay. or you could just buy a commodore or falcon and it will be faster
-
lets look at a few things 1: cost of insuring. shits all over imports, especially for young drivers 2: cost of running: can run on the cheapest fuel you can find and can use cheap oil and they are cheap to fix and pretty much everywhere has parts. again a big tick for the aussie cars 3: want to carry 4 adult passengers plus some luggage? aussie sedan will do it more comfortably than a skyline, even a 4 door 4: going to park in a shopping centre carpark or in a dodgy part of town? would you rather spend the whole time wondering if the car is going to get damaged or stolen or would you rather enjoy what you are doing? commodore or falcon is the better choice there 5: want to be able to drive around without getting hassled by the cops? another tick for the aussies 6: in a commodore or falcon you don't care if it develops a rattle or starts making a new noise, you just keep on driving and only check it if it sounds bad. in a skyline you spend hours checking things everytime it starts to make the slightest little noise.
-
that only applies to the series 1.5 (1995) version, not the earlier or later ones
-
most of them were just a GTS (where as the rb25 powered ones were GTS25) but there apparently was a version called the GTS type G (there was also a GTS25 type G) which was one of the auto sedan versions, as well as typs S (sedan auto and coupe auto and manual) and a type X (auto sedan). the type G/S/X were simply different trim options, such as the type G having a leather steering wheel.

sounds like a coil pack issue, probably being caused by the cold weather. although it could also be an injector issue, again being caused by the cold
-
time frame wise it seems reasonable since i'm guessing that just dropping the pressure won't be enough since you still have to maintain a certain amount of pressure, so a lot of it will be redoing the actual tune. money wise i'd compare how much he wants to how much it cost for the initial tune. if it is much lower then i'd say it's reasonable. if it's clsoe to the same cost then possibly not

see now i accept this is a response because you have validated your reason as well as said that at other times it is ok. people who simply say "fwd is shit" or use the torque steer argument without realising that not all fwd cars suffer from much torque steer get on my nerves because they have a pretty much baseless/misinformed argument. it is one thing to say you don't like something, it is another thing to say it is shit. it is the same as how people say a commodore or falcon is shit, yet they are better than a skyline at many things but most skyline fanbois will only look at certain aspects that favour their car (such as acceleration).

my brother got it done. pretty sure he is happy with it (don't speak to him very often)
