  1. good to see hamo being humble. he knows he didn't get 3rd on his own. mark was still being pretty diplomatic on the podium. i'd love for him to has spoken his mind, but i think it would've been mostly swear words and possibly beating vettel to death with the microphone
  2. someone get webber a newspaper to read while they talk to vettel
  3. anyone else think that webber may be on the recieving end of some team preference at the next round? kind of wish they'd just let webber and the tool go at it in a boxing ring. the tool would break his girly little hands on mark's chin and then mark could just kick the shit out of him, lol
  4. post race interviews are going to be fun.
  5. no, if they use inters then they only have to use 1 compound of the slicks
  6. from what i gather, when they say that there is disciplinary action, it generally just means that they told the bus driver that there was a complaint made against them. they are pretty good at closing ranks and protecting their own
  7. compression ratio x atmospheric pressure doesn't = combustion pressure results.
  8. yeah just stick with the panel filter in the stock box. at the end of the day, a pod in the stock box won't flow any better than a panel filter.
  9. it would be to do with the brake booster as it has a vaccum feed from the engine. the higher the vaccum, the more power it has. as for pumping the brakes, pretty sure that's normal as you are just pumping up the pressure in the system. and i have a feeling that the brakes in my commodore do a similar thing as yours do when pushing the clutch in, etc, when the vaccum changes (such as turning on the aircon, etc, since it's an auto)
  10. i can answer the vaccum one. you can use a line off the intake manifold, but i've always prefered using it from a feed that doesn't have vaccum. so just add a nipple onto the intercooler piping. i also prefer it being before the intercooler.
  11. plenty are daily driven. plenty of them are imported with "adjusted" odometers (or are altered once here). can be as simple as putting in an odometer with lower kms. after all, it's not like the skyline (gtr or not) is some ultra rare,, fragile, expensive supercar (although some people might think they are)
  12. you could always just pull the bulb out.......
  13. i had a bus pull out of a bus stop and nearly take me out one day. i know you are supposed to give way to them etc, but he didn't put the indicator on until i had just passed the back corner of the bus and then just pulled out straight away. talking to a mate who used to be a bus driver, or work in the management side of things (can't remember which), he said that drivers are supposed to wait something like 4 seconds after they put the indicator on before they even attempt to pull out. on the other hand though, he also said that with the new LED indicators on a lot of buses these days, they can take up to a few seconds to start to flash after the driver puts the indicator on. so that just screws everything up.
  14. saw a white 33 with gold wheels (plates ended in SPZ) in noosa yesterday. went around the round about at venture drive then up into the auto park. plenty of soot all over the boot.
  15. just ring you local exhaust shop (or stop in and see them) and ask them how much to make you up an exhaust. then you will have an exact price
  16. baaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha. and they will be running on vodka
  17. 94 is series 1. 95 is generally series 1.5 (although there isn't officially any such thing as a series 1.5, just late model series 1 with differences to early series 1)
  18. if it idles better when the aircon is on then it is more than likely the IAC valve needs cleaning
  19. from memory, new they would read 155 to 160psi. generally anything over 140psi is reasonable, but the biggest thing is to have all cylinders within a few psi of each other.
  20. the only real difference between fuel filters is the size of the bodies and the shape, angle and size of the lines, and any possible fittings on the end of the lines. as long as you can get the fuel lines onto the filter then there will be no issue using it. it's not like they are a performance item. the filter used on the GTR is the same as used on the SSS pulsar, and the gts-t one is the same as what's used on a 1.0L micra.
  21. if the revs jump up and down before it stalls then do a search on here for IAC/AAC cleaning. there is a good chance that will be your issue.
  22. You will need ecu to run the bigger injectors. As for turbo choice, there are dozens of turbos you could choose from. Which one suits you best will depend on what exactly you wasn't from your engine.
  23. Rich and retard works off loads at different points of the rev range. So the point in the rev range that was triggering the rich and retard is probably getting lower airflow with the bigger turbo. This means it was probably lower in the rev range. The stock turbo comes on boost by under 3000rpm. Your new turbo won't be making as much airflow at lower rpm.
  24. That is what you need if you are trying to turn your na into a gtt. Half of that stuff isn't needed. You don't need to change the brakes, diff, suspension and triple gauge cluster. Some na models came with the better brakes already on them. Yes you will need a bigger exhaust (unless you have an aftermarket exhaust already, but you really want a 3" exhaust).
  25. The dvs is still a decent stepping stone in the respect that he will get to learn the tracks and get a general feel for the v8's power, etc. And yeah, other motto guys have done well in cars with limited track time. Mick doohan did a test in a ferrari (i think) back in the day and did ok. I vaguely recall reading that he actually had a faster top speed at the end if the straight than the actual f1 driver
