  1. i didn't have to give my local repco belt numbers (the numbers i gave them didn't match anything). they just looked it up on their computer.
  2. it does, but when there is more fuel in there the crap is less consentrated. also, i'm pretty sure that the return line comes out and sort of washes the crap off the filter sock on the pump.
  3. i ended up altering the tps, putting a new fuel filter in, cleaning the afm, changing back to my old o2 sensor, got rid of some vaccum leaks....... i think that was all, and yes it did go away. i think the vaccum leak was the main cause. it was the breather hose on top of the rocker cover, and also the seal around the pcv valve that i found to be leaking.
  4. its called v-tac, not v-tec, don't you know anything? hehehe NOTE: if you do not understand this joke, go searching for the video on here somewhere of the guy with his old school honda.
  5. and you are running an atmo bov which will ever so slightly decrease fuel economy. also try cleaning your afm. i am getting about 10% better economy after doing mine.
  6. i don't think you need to change your fuel filter that often. it depends on how often you run on a low tank. if you don't let the car get below about 1/3 tank then you can leave it longer than someone who constantly runs it below 1/4 tank.
  7. i have for sale these tshirts, $25 i paid $45 for them, postage is approx $5 as they will be sent in a post pack thru aust post. these are all genuine and still have tags. small in white xl in white xl in black pm me for contact detail. marc sunshine coast, qld
  8. if it just a pod filter than yes. if it has an adapter then i'm not sure. but i'm sure the holes could be redrilled if they don't line up.
  9. that doesn't mean you have to stare. yes.
  10. i was talking 1250kg. stock for a gtst is about 800kg. in pounds that is about 1800 pounds for the stock and about 2750 pounds for the 1250kg.
  11. what you are missing is that the mufflers have a perferated tube through the centre. there is only a certain amount of air going through those holes and into a muffler. so 2 mufflers with the same perferated tube through the centre are going to allow the same amount of air into the muffler. the bigger body just has the ability to reduce the noise more. the sound particles don't flow in the same path as the air. they bounce along the pipe, where as the air flows through it more smoothly. when they get to the muffler they go in and bounce around in there and disperse their energy in the packing. if the big horsepower cars were hugely affected by mufflers they'd use the cheap and nasty ones you get from supercheap that have tiny bodies, not ones like the hks ones that a big body.
  12. i thought i saw someone perving on me in the shower before.
  13. generally the main cause of this is either a blown head gasket, or a crack in the head. i had to replace a head on ford laser the other weak that had a hole in the head. the oil and water looked like someone had drained them out and filled them with ice coffee.
  14. an oval muffler doesn't really restrict the exhaust more. it just has a bigger body for the sound particles to dispense their energy. if you have 2 mufflers, both with a body 30cm long, and a 3" pipe through the centre, which ever has the biggest area outside of that centre tube will be quieter (however this also depends on the packing inside the muffler).
  15. really? i haven't seen that on my birth citificate. maybe its in the fine print.
  16. is there water in the oil too?

  18. what ecu? and i'd also be looking at what blind elk said.
  19. they do have it.
  20. no they don't. i get less than 1psi of pressure difference at 14psi.
  21. the stock r32 wastegate actuator is 10psi. what actuator is being used? if it is the stock one, it may not be complatible with the turbo. it may be moving the correct distance, but it is starting in the wrong spot so it is only opening half way.
  22. i don't much care. i don't have a complex where i have to compare how successful my life is by what sort of car i own or have driven. go see dr phil. he will help you out with yuor confidence and aggression issues.
  23. i'm not a fan of those sound controllers. you want air to spin as it flows to increase air speed and having a plate in the is only going to create turbulence.
  24. gcg do an exchange service. you have to remove your turbo, send it away, they send you one back and then you bolt it back on. it is a ball bearing unit and it costs about $1800. slides aren't an exchange unit. and about $900. they are only a bush bearing.
  25. actually i have used a modified r34 vspec gtr in a motorkana.
