  1. that's not that cheap. that's about normal price for them. based on all the other crap the guy said, i highly doubt that too. but looking at thecompliance plate will tell you when it was imported so you can see for yourself when it was complianced
  2. but then all you have to do is leave the same lot of drivers in the top 10 and you are garanteed to get points everyweek even if you have the order all wrong. the castrol one gives you 10 points for correct, 5 points for 1 place off, 2 points for 2 places off. so you have to be somewhat correct to get points. makes sense to me.
  3. this! it's still 1982 in WA and they get HD f1? wtf?
  4. i'm with optus, so you may not have an update yet being with telstra. text messaging is pretty much the same in ICS as it was in gingerbread. don't like the new unlock screen (if you use the pattern). the cirlces are much smaller. as for sau, trying hitting refresh once the page loads and see what happens
  5. i only got 15 points that round on predictions. got alonso right, and was one spot off on webber (had him 3rd). got 27 points in china (only joined up before china)
  6. all cylinders seem a bit low on compression, other than just number 2. time for a rebuild i'd say. but would be much cheaper just to buy a second hand engine and bolt that in
  7. that's gotta be a first, lol
  8. i think one thread was enough
  9. unless it was in the GT production classes where it had to run somewhat stock and then they generally got shat all over by the porsches and ferraris. and to anyone that says "yeah but they cost twice as much....." well the GTR cost twice as much as most of the cars it was beating, so your argument is invalid. had the ford sierras been running wider tyres they would've taken the fight to the GTR. they were putting out similar power, but only RWD and running a 9" wide tyre vs the 11" wide tyre of the GTR.
  10. maybe try getting a new cluster and see if that works. or get a consult cable and hook it up to a laptop and see if the ecu is getting a speed signal. if it isn't then you know it's the speed sensor in the gearbox. if it is then it's either a wiring issue of the cluster
  11. that's spot on. minimum wage in australia is double what it is in the states. a few months back i did a comparison on how much it costs to buy things in australia vs US based of minimum wage. rather than just comparing dollar values, i put it into how many hours you would have to work to pay for it. generally worked out that someone on minimum wage in australia had to work noticably less hours to be able to afford goods. and with cars, etc, other countries have different spec to us, and different safety regulations, so you can't directly compare prices.
  12. yep, the guy you bought it of sounds like he's full of crap. easiest way is to check the ecu. pull off the passenger side kick panel. if it's a stock nissan ecu then there's 90% chance it's stock and when you put it on the dyno it will make about 250hp at 12psi. also you could post a pic of the turbo. oh and if it makes full boost by just under 3000rpm then you know it is the stock turbo. no turbo cabable of 500kw will make full boost by anywhere close to 3000rpm
  13. Another 4th for webber?
  14. Yeah he's pushing his luck
  15. Sux2b hamo's wheel guy
  16. Yeah they're going to ruin my predictions
  17. Overhead shot shows webber getting a better start than hamo
  18. Best start ever for webber?
  19. Quali was laggy towards the end of q3 last night
  20. Have a look above the manifold. It is extremely common for the rockers to leak.
  21. It just occurred to me, do you have any sort of speed signal being sent to the ecu? That may be causing part of the problem if it isn't right. The ecu factors it in, as it does with the neutral switch. So if the ecu is getting the wrong signals then it will be using the wrong maps
  22. By wiring issue I also meant a dodgy wire/plug, not just an issue with how it was wired up.
  23. Aftermarket ecu won't help as your issue is going to be with either the wiring or a fault. If you have ruled out other things, then I'd look at the crank angle sensor.
  24. Yeah that's the cup holder insert
  25. Did I hear them say Winton has been moved?
