  1. don't forget that newer cars have much longer service intervals than old cars. most new cars have at least 10,000km service intervals, but some are up to 15,000kms (unlike the r35 gtr which needs to be serviced twice for every tank of fuel, lol)
  2. qualifying is also on ten, but not live.
  3. nah i think they will humour him a bit longer. on the upside, it means the team can focus all their strategy on alonso when it comes to pit stops, etc
  4. excellent. once i see some more practice times i will put in my predictions and hopefully be a bit more accurate than last week where i just randomly put people in without paying much attention to practice times or how good of race cars they tend to have.
  5. that's cause you is blek. they can't see you, LOL where do you live? address and times you aren't there please........ this
  6. ok so it turns out that if i open the page and it opens the full site, if i hit refresh it will then open the mobile version. same goes if i open the bookmark again
  7. i too am having the same issue with the site reverting back to the desktop site everyday on my phone (android). not sure if it is since the new forum or since i upgraded to ICS 4.0 the other day (haven't paid too much attention). i made sure to save the save the mobile site as a bookmark. have a feeling it's only been since i upgraded to ICS. checked all settings. i should point out that if i close the browser then open it back up straight away it will revert to the desktop site. could it be an issue with the way the site interacts with mobile devices? or at least android devices? ok so i was just playing around with my phone again before i submitted this post. for some reason if i tick the "request desktop site" option then it shows the mobile version, but if i untick it it goes back to the desktop site. that seems back the front to me. it is still showing the mobile site for google. funny thing is that it also made the mobile site for hotmail start working as well, which sucks arse. so i unticked it and will just scroll to the bottom of the page everytime i want to look at sau from my phone.
  8. anyone got the P1 times?
  9. he sounds like a bit of a tool. if he can get a PFC to make 40kw more than a nistune then he's a very poor tuner. tuned the same, you should see pretty much no difference in power between different aftermarket ecus. as i said in your other thread, why did you use the z32 ecu? you can put a nistune in an r32 ecu (lists it on the nistune website). also if you or your tuner haven't swapped around the appropriate wires then you won't get teh ecu to work properly. the z32 ecu has a different pinout to the r32, not to mention that it also is designed for the VCT that the z32 has (which is why it is used in r33's instead of an r32 ecu, as r33's also have VCT, but the r32 doesn't). if your tuner has been using z32 ecus in r32s then that may be part of the reason why he's been seeing power differences to other ecus.
  10. sif apple will spend too much money on it, at least to start with. they will just release some half arsed version with half the features of every other console on the market, sell it to the masses of apple fanbois, then in 12 months time release an upgraded version, which all of the fanbois will also go out and buy. pretty much like what they did with the iphone.......
  11. ah yes, that's right. think he may have worked at ford before T-mac, but i could be wrong. this morning i spotted a white r34 (possibly GTR) with gold wheels heading north on the highway in gympie at the top of the golf course. i was the fella on the bike (in lycra) heading back into town. and on wednesday i spotted a silver r32 4 door that belongs in the "what not to do to a skyline" thread. it was on steve irwin way heading towards landsborough. had some mildly ugly front bar, eyelids that covered half the headlights and had a strip of LED driving lights under each headlight.
  12. has he changed the appropriate wires around to take into account the different pinouts? also why are you using a z32 ecu? you can put a nistune into a r32 ecu
  13. yeah it's going into limp mode. generally caused by an issue with afms. maybe try checking fault codes and see if that shows anything up
  14. do you have the stock boost gauge still working? if you do then you have a SERIOUS intake leak and that is what is causing your problem. if you have an aftermarket boost gauge, what sort of vacuum do you get at idle? if it isn't up around -20 then you have a vacuum leak. i'd also sort out that squealling belt. if that is on the alternator then it probably isn't helping the situation, especially if it is caused by the alternator being a bit suspect. it would be making the car harder to start if it (or another belt driven accessory) is a bit siezed. i would also start with a new battery and make sure that it is the appropriate CCA for a skyline so that it has enough juice to turn the car over at the right speed. unless you had been doing a lot of attempts at starting the car before the first video, and a fair few after, then the battery should've been fine. so it points towards a weak battery as part of the problem (or a failing alternator)
  15. you can use a manual r34 ecu with a nistune. may need full r34 loom though
  16. i pay attention to the price of fuel, only because i directly pass about 8 servos on my way to and from work and the price of fuel can vary by up to 10c a litre, and since i generally put in about 50 to 60L a week, the possible savings add up. i accept the price that fuel is these days, i'm more just comparing the price differences. something a lot of people don't take into account these days when complaining about the price of fuel compared to 10/15 years ago is inflation. lets say inflation is an average of 3%, if the price of fuel was $1 a litre back in 2002, then if the price of fuel was $1.30 a litre today then, not taking into account compound interest, the price of fuel is technically the same as back in 2002.
  17. i beat a r33 gts-t in my v6 magna at willowbank. i crossed the line first, but his time was 0.1 faster than mine and his trap speed was a touch higher, and by the end of the night he was running times about a second faster than me. doesn't change the fact that on the timeslip it says i won the race. i should point out that i don't go round saying that my magna beat a turbo skyline. i just bring it up in threads like this to make a point. i don't know what that point is, i just like stories.
  18. not to crap on those guys videos, but to generalise and say that putting a pod or K&n filter onto every car will make no difference, or make you lose power is a bit wrong. some cars respond better to intake mods than others. i've owned cars where filter changes have made a noticable difference, and others where it hasn't done squat. it really comes down to the design of the individual intake
  19. what he really needs is wings i'm last of the point scorers, but the chinese GP was the first one i did maybe they are giving mark a few extra chances because it is going to be his last year for 2 reasons. 1: if they can send him out as WDC would be nice. 2: if it makes it look like they don't favour vettool so much then when mark leaves they might get some better drivers willing to come to the team thinking their might not be so much favourtism. but once there they will revert back to last years setup where bieber gets first and second preference.
  20. the race starts at 10pm local time. coverage starts at 9:30. it will be live.
  21. http://www.yourtv.com.au/guide/sun/ and shaun, doubt it will be in HD. don't think they broadcast any channel other than oneHD in hd, otherwise SD only set top boxes wouldn't be able to show the program EDIT: dezz got in just before me
  22. apple fanbois will all have epic jizz parties if it comes out. general gamers will probably think it sucks. like all apple products i think it will suck donkey balls until it is jail broken.
  23. may be an issue with the TPS (or where it's set) as well. and the car may run ok, but that may not rule out there being an issue with one of those things. they may just be within the range of tollerance when running, but not starting. may also be an issue with fuel pressure. maybe try doing a fault code check on the ecu. worst case scenario is that you have low compression. but i think your issue is more of a fuel related issue.
  24. bahrain quali starts midnight on saturday night/sunday morning. so most likely live. i'd say that quali will still be live for more prime time races too. may be proved wrong in the future though. my tv guide shows channel 10 as the one playing bahrain
  25. i've been sleeping with 1 foot out of the blankets (apparently). wake up the next morning with mozzie bites all over my foot/lower leg. not really getting worse reactions than normal though. i use good old calamine lotion. if it's a really bad one i use stingoes (or however it's spelt). apparently it's going to be a bad mozzie season here in SE qld thanks to all the flooding over the past few months creating a lot of new breeding spots
