  1. Maldonado starting from pitlane. Genuine issue on the grid, or team trying to get both cars through turn 1 in 1 piece?
  2. Gp2 is the open wheel version of v8 utes. Always full of carnage
  3. I don't see why it's stupid. Had he caused a red flag he would've been penalised. Had he been going slow and blocked people he would've been penalised. Had he gone off and pulled back in front of someone while returning to the track he would've been penalised. But sitting a little way down an escape road and then reversing onto the track, while causing a prolonged yellow flag is ok cause he was "just having a go"? Might as well stop penalising people who take another car out when trying to overtake under brakes, because "they are just pushing hard to get a position".
  4. But was it really an accident, or the old Schumacher trick made to look like an accident? "Oops, I "accidentally" went a bit deep and locked up and ruined everyone's hot lap. Sorry f**kers....."
  5. Britney gets pole, but only really through a technicality. And then celebrates as if he didn't screw up others laps. They need to bring in a rule where if you cause a yellow with less than 30 seconds to run, or after the session has ended, then you get a penalty.
  6. I was just coming in to post that, but you beat me to it
  7. Yep, that's how webber won here, and how britney won here last year. As long as you're top 2 or 3 going into the last pit stops, and leading after the stops then as long as you keep the car off the walls, and keep clear of Maldonado (who should've crashed by then anyway) then you should be able to block your way to the win
  8. The majority of cars with thermo fans factory just have straight fins, so they can't be that bad.
  9. The ignitor system has nothing to do with the head, just to do with the ignition system. The smoke will either be because of the turbo leaking oil or the engine burning oil. You could do a compression test to try and work out if it's the engine or turbo that's causing the smoke
  10. It's an aftermarket gtt exhaust, meaning 3". Regardless of the number of mufflers it will be loud. The engine won't be flowing enough air to create any sort of pressure in the exhaust for the mufflers to actually do much in the way of reducing the noise.
  11. And to answer your question again, yes it will fit, but it will be LOUD. The cops will hear you coming from the next suburb.
  12. If you've blocked the lines running to the actuators (ignore the boost controller) and it still won't boost past 10psi then there is almost definitely an issue with the wastegate actuators. Either they are getting pushed open by exhaust gases (they would have to totally shagged for this to happen, like opening at under about 3psi), or the wastegates aren't fully closing. There is also the chance of an intake blockage (such as in the intercooler). Try hooking a boost controller up to a vacuum line before the intercooler if there is one. See if it reads any different.
  13. ive found that the latest app solved the issues i had
  14. This. For the cost of just buying a gtr you could have a built gtst that will blow the doors off a stock or mild gtr.
  15. Yeah it really was a glimpse of the old vettel.
  16. Are you sure you're working with the right vacuum lines? Try removing the vacuum lines that run to the wastegate (and block them) so you don't have a leak) and then go for a drive this should give you unlimited boost, so take it easy. If after this you still only get 10psi then you have a few possible issues. Either faulty wastegate actuators, a large boost leak (but you should have other issues if it's leaking that much) or a blockage on either the intake or exhaust
  17. Maldonado showing his skill once again.......
  18. Multimeter isn't always accurate. Depends on how quickly the multimeter can display the voltage. I've tested them before and had them not fluctuate, but then when tested via a consult cable they are working just fine.
  19. The tacho receives it's signal from the ecu, which receives it's signal from the cas. Your problem is with the ecu to tacho signal, or the tacho itself, because if it was the signal between the cas and ecu the car wouldn't run.
  20. The iac may actually be faulty. Or the idle adjustment may be too far out that the ecu is struggling to keep it under control
  21. I dunno. I always assumed it was a control fuel like the v8 supercars run, but they were saying at the start of q1 that the fuel supplier to redbull are expecting to gain 1/10th of a second from their new blend.
  22. Up until a few races ago I didn't realise that there wasn't a control fuel used in f1
  23. Not to mention that some cops are picky when it comes to club rego. I know guys with hotrods who have driven their car to car shows, etc, then driven then out to dinner that night and got pulled over by the cops and been told that driving it to get dinner isn't covered by their club rego.
  24. In qld 4 cyl rego is a lot cheaper than 6 cyl ($665 vs $830). As for the Commodore, it's just an executive wagon with nearly 300,000 kms on it.
  25. You have a high chance of the engine, or at least turbo going bang. I'd put money on the turbo going before the engine, especially if it's the stock turbo. The ceramic wheels on them don't like excessive heat, and in a burnout comp it will get red hot (it will literally be glowing). But if you're prepared to kill it then why ask for tips? Just go out, keep your right foot to the floor until either the tyres out engine go bang. Just start in second gear to get as much smoke as possible and you're set
