  1. will add you over the weekend
  2. find the wire in the back of the tail lights that powers the brake light. be easy to do with a multimeter. as for the reverse lights, it sounds like the car may have been converted from manual to auto and the wiring not done properly.
  3. being sold locally will mean they can't be imported (at least not very easily). the price of imported versions won't increase because from almost day one of locally imported ones being on the market there will be demo models being sold cheaper. depreciation on the new models will be a bit faster than the current imported models, which may well speed up the depreciation of the imported versions.
  4. 33. newer, faster, more usable power, less dated looking.
  5. don't bother much with mods for performance. they aren't really worth it. it will still be a somewhat slow car. if you want something, just go with a cat back exhaust. have a chat to your local exhaust shop to see what sort of money it would cost. should only be a few hundred for them to make something up for you from mild steel. as for reliability, they aren't much different to any other 20 year old car. just regular servicing, etc.
  6. i still have sim city 3000 kicking around somewhere. loved that game
  7. yeah sounds a lot like you've popped a cooler hose off, or something like that.
  8. just get an ecutalk consult cable
  9. sounds like a dodgy wire somewhere, possibly in the consult port or in the consult cable itself.
  10. yeah, and if you don't like the cannon you can just get an oval muffler bolted on
  11. as above, don't bother. also don't confuse a hot pipe with hot air. ever done that thing where you pass your hand quickly over a flame without getting burnt? the same principle applies to intake air. at wide open throttle the air is moving at high speed so it isn't affected by intake temps much at all. even at low throttle it isn't affected by much
  12. no it isn't a stupid idea. an oval muffler that has a 3" straight through pipe will flow just as much air as a cannon with the same 3" pipe through the centre. only difference will be that it will be more quiet.
  13. the car will drop in value regardless of whether they are locally sold. they may well drop faster with ADM versions on the market though.
  14. danica patrick is hotter. bet she will perform just as poorly though
  15. yeah, that's why i always get amused how excited people get about cars/brands being relaunched. would make a good "what the fans think will happen / what will actually happen" meme
  16. they will be at the pointy end of the field like always. the reason being that they are very good at what they do. you don't stay at the front of the field for so long just out of luck. they also would supply parts to so many other teams if they weren't good parts. the same will happen next year.
  17. you mean ECUtalk? reads data through the consult port.
  18. no because those rules only really apply to GT racing type categories (or group A). in something like v8 supercars nissan could build a 4 door car running a quad turbo v16, AWD, full carbon body, but the race car version would be a rwd v8. the same as how the GT500 r35 GTR race car is a rwd v8.
  19. this. if they are doing it as a budget car range then you can rule out there being any rwd cars in the lineup.
  20. were you expecting better? i wasn't. unless they really pick up their act, there's going to be a lot of extremely upset nissan fanbois (not refering to the average nissan fan, just the ones who think that nissan is going to dominate like it did 20 years, as if that somehow has an effect on how they will do next year)
  21. That was a big crash between Murphy and Web. Getting sick of my reception dropping out every 30 seconds though.
  22. how much you can hear the pod depends on the intake and the pod, as well as how loud the car is in general. for example, on a v6 magna or 6 cylinder falcon you will hear it easily. on a v6 commodore it barely changes the intake sound at all
  23. don't know if i'd call 100kg "considerably lighter". certainly lighter (enough to make a difference), but not massively lighter. as for the power drop, it was mentioned in an article about the nissan v8 being used. power output is expected to be between 10 and 20% lower than it currently is, which is lower than what it was 5 or 10 years ago
  24. didn't seem to bother nissan too much when they put one on the r34 GTR v-spec 2 carbon bonnet......... (it's a bith higher up though) as for a CAI setup on a NA, not worth the trouble. just put a decent panel filter in. unless you have SERIOUS work done to the car you won't be close to maxing out the stock setup. a NA skyline is about 100kw short of maxing out the stock setup. the gains from running a better setup would be minimal. in most cases you'd be lucky to see it on a dyno, let alone feel it on the road. you may think you feel it though
