  1. there are plenty of wedding dress shops that got sick of this and now require a substantial deposit (hundreds or even thousands in some cases) before trying on anything. if you don't buy anything then you lose the deposit. if you do buy a dress then the deposit comes off the price of the dress. but let's not have this thread turn into a debate about online stores vs retail stores because the majority of people have no idea of how or why aussie prices are higher than other countries (and often aren't willing to accept these reasons) and what it would take to fix it (and in most cases wouldn't accept what it would take to fix it) and just think that the retailers are the ones to blame and they should simply lower their prices to match overseas online stores (which will do nothing other than increase unemployment).
  2. what sort of boost controller are you running? most boost controllers run better if you have the feed line for it situated before the intercooler (this may mean putting a nipple in the piping). as for where to tap into for the boost gauge, there are plenty of vaccum lines you can use, such as the one for the bov
  3. buy yourself a consult cable. will save a lot of hasles as you can view data from the sensors to see what is really going on
  4. just learn to left foot brake and drop the car into neutral everytime you go into a corner, LOL
  5. sister in law has a mazda 6 (newer shape than the one you posted). she likes it and hasn't had any issues. goes alright too.
  6. other games i've played with mid race saves was the same. biggest issue with 1 of them was that with weather changes. if you didn't pay attention when choosing tyres, etc, and it happened to be raining and you put slicks on, it made life interesting.
  7. there are plenty of r33 gts4's out there. they aren't as common as normal gts and gts-t, but there are certainly plenty out there. try looking in the NA section
  8. takes about 20 mins to change the thermostat. you do lose a bit of coolant but not that much. it's just 3 bolts to remove the thermostat housing. the sensors though don't come with the thermostat and i think they are in different locations. from memory the thermostat is in the lower coolant hose and the temp sensors are in the top hose.
  9. why are you bumping the thread? the question is answered and you said that the pfc is sold?
  10. if it is only when you are going full throttle then start by checking your coil packs and spark plugs. it could just be the common missfire issue. failing that it could be a crank angle sensor issue, or afm issue, as both of those issues can cause a lower than normal rev limiter.
  11. that's because it's designed to not be accurate. this is the case for the majority of cars.
  12. yeah it's a bit of a shocker. typical of street circuits, but this one seems to be worse than most. it's a bit too narrow in a lot of places.
  13. yeah i have to agree. leaving FOTA doesn't mean they broke the rules. it just means they don't want to follow them next year.
  14. well given that it has very little in common with the r32-r34 skyline (other than round tail lights), then i would say yes. you can't really say that the v35 skyline takes much of it's design from the R series skylines, and the r35 takes a lot of it's styling cues from it and the 350z. look at all the other cars on the market and their designs. they are all that sort of design. had toyota just taken the original design and round the edges a little bit then they would have a design that is about 20 years out of date. they have basically made the design relevant for todays market. they just skipped the middle generation.
  15. holy v8 supercross batman!!!! lol
  16. not a hard job to make it fit. they just have to cut it and weld in a piece to make it longer to fit on the sedan.
  17. the r35 gtr looks nothing like the original.......
  18. anyone know the blue r34 with stupid looking chrome grill (looks like it's off a late model commodore)? it's getting around gympie at the moment. saw him with the bonnet up getting boned by the cops today. had a laugh
  19. no they are different. the sedan is longer. an exhaust shop would be able to make it fit though.
  20. i walked into the bedroom, turned on the tv to see lowndes pulling into the pits after finishing the race. wasn't happy jan. i forgot it was on and decided to mow the lawn when i got home from work. going to be a good race tomorrow. will take another unlucky day for lowndes to pull it off. i think whincup will be playing it safe tomorrow (not jumping kerbs). will be good to see lowndes driving to win though. i've always been a lowndes fan.
  21. put it this way nee-san, would you prefer to drop (a speculated) 50k on the 86, or drop 50k on a nissan maxima?
  22. it is accurate, as long as the sensor is working correctly. contact the forum member newkleer about consult cables
  23. what do you mean you can "hear the fins turning"? if it is just that you can hear the whistle of the turbo spooling then that is fine. if you can hear a grinding noise then you need a new turbo.
  24. the 2 causes of overheating that you haven't yet done (although you have considered 1 of them) is a shot water pump, or a blown head gasket. if you are losing coolant then it will be the head gasket, but if you aren't then it is most likely fine.
