  1. for me that means bugger all. why? many reasons. 1: it wasn't me that set the lap. 2: while a car might be faster on 1 track, on another it may be slower than the competition. 3: it says very little about how the car drives in the real world. it could be the worst car to actually drive on the road in everyday situations. regarding my first point, how fast some random professional driver did a lap on some random track is pointless. there would be cars out there that might do slower laps than others in the hands of a racing driver, but when put in the hands of a regular punter they may do faster laps because they are easier to drive near the limit. i see it a little bit like some P plater with some powerful car that when you see them drive off they bunny hop and grind gears.
  2. lol yeah, even when trying to get second in the championship they still try to find ways to let vettel win. webber v alonso = big ball moves by webber
  3. if you weren't loading the car up on the handbrake last time then definitely do it next time. doesn't do the clutch much good but it will give you the best launch. test it out tomorrow on the road and you will notice the difference.
  4. seems to be a pretty common problem with skylines, the old pivot bolt snapparoo. happened to me
  5. RB2*>SR20>SR16>CA18>RB30>every other engine made>RB20
  6. i have CS3 and it seems to do the same thing as yours. everytime you use it the original sample selector gets closer and closer to where you are working
  7. are you taking raised suspension to fit drag radials under the car, or lowered suspension? stock suspension is better for drag racing than a set of coil overs. baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaha, you might want to read some of the earlier posts in the thread next time to stop yourself looking silly.
  8. trucks (especially semi's) will already know where the speed cameras and radars are. as for late model commodores/falcons, you need to expand your range. in gympie the cops also had a silver VW golf and a black lancer/evo as well as a few camrys/avalons.
  9. this. had the red flag been waved a minute or 2 later then Dick Johnson would've won that year and Jim Richards and Mark Skaife would've had DNF next to their name. as for if i had 200k to spend on a car, as i said, it wouldn't be a GTR. i don't care that people like the GTR. everyone has different tastes. i just hate that GTR fanbois think that there is no other car worth even looking at. they are no different to commodore fanbois.
  10. this. nissan made a car that any useless hack can go fast in, regardless of their skill level. in 10 years time the GTR won't even require driver input, yet fanbois will continue to drool over it based on numbers it does. i'd rather a slower car that is more exciting to drive rather than a car that you just floor it and steer and all the computers keep you on the road. it's like playing a racing game and turning all the assists on. it just isn't fun.
  11. just looked up the part number on those plugs. they are a non resistor type plug, so they may be interfering with the ecu. taken from the ngk website long story short, if it all works fine with your old plugs, just get some new ones of them if you want new plugs.
  12. no it won't hurt, but it's probably one of the worst value for money mods you can do
  13. is it running rough (like it's only on 5 cylinders)? if so, it sounds like either a coil wasn't plugged back on properly, or a plug is dodgy. new plugs shouldn't make the car run any different
  14. Are you positively annoyed friend?
  15. another thing that shits me off about flashing, you will get people that will flash for kms after the speed camera/police location. that's fine, until you are in a line of traffic with some overly cautious dimwit at the front that then decides to sit 15km/h under the speed limit for the next few kms 'just to be safe'.
  16. jealous? not of a GTR owner. mad? yeah, but again, nothing to do with not owning a GTR. as i have said many times before, if i won lotto i wouldn't even test drive a r35 GTR for shits and giggles. i would take a datsun 120y with rust holes and running on 2 cylinders over a r35 GTR. if given a r35 i would drive it to my local nissan dealer and trade it for a 370z then put a twin turbo kit on it. the r35 is not on my supercar wish list. so i ask you, are you positively annoyed friend? umad that your expensive car in no way, shape or form makes me jealous of you? gallardo = raging bull GTR = nerd
  17. should make little to no difference unplugging a dodgy o2 sensor
  18. someone has to say it, might as well be me. run a 13 second pass = engine out....... on a serious note, scrap the pulley set and tail shaft and invest in a set of cams. go with a nistune and the semi slicks and you should be able to crack a high 13.
  19. yeah it was very moving
  20. you missed the best bet. skip into the video and watch the last 30 seconds. to sum it up for you though, it's basically this: 3, 2, 1, race.... GTR pulls ahead, lambo starts to catch up a bit, then a lot, and then goes past at AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH miles an hour making the GTR look like it's dropped a cylinder or 6.
  21. what about someone doing 84 in a 60 zone?
  22. ecu is behind the passenger side kick panel (to the lower left of the glove box). just make sure that when you look at ecu's you go for something tried and tested. either PFC, z32 ecu with nistune, or something like that.
  23. yeah, it absolutely spanks the GTR once it gets going. this if i ever won lotto i's spend my days driving back and forth through a tunnel flat out with the windows down in a lambo love the flames on the gear change
  24. you can't lower it 2/3, you can only lower it 1/3 (must retain 2/3 of suspension travel).
