  1. how old are the plugs? if old, then try replacing them. also, next time you let it sit for a little while, try letting the fuel pump prime for a few seconds before you start the car (turn the key to ON, let it sit for a few seconds, then turn it to START). it may also be that your injectors are a little dirty and could do with a proper clean (remove and have professionally clean, not just a bottle of injector cleaner). might be worth changing the fuel filter as well. final thing is, how old is the fuel in the car? if the car doesn't get driven much, and so the fuel is a few months old, then that won't be helping the problem.
  2. if the car is stock then start with a turbo back exhaust, followed by upgraded air filter, front mount intercooler and raise the boost to around 12psi. doing the ecu before any of that is an epic waste of money.
  3. turbo gallardo =
  4. what level of rebuild are you talking? pistons and rings, etc? if so, i'd say probably $3000+ for basic level spec, possibly more, depending on labour costs.
  5. any other opinion from people worth listening to will be the same as nismo's. sell the car as it will cost more to fix than to buy a running car in decent condition
  6. the older i get the more sense i see in P plate restrictions because i look back at how i, and a lot of people i knew, drove and can see that despite us thinking we weren't that reckless at the time, we actually were. until i got booked on the second year of having my licence, i pretty much drove everywhere at 20kmh over the limit and thought nothing of it.
  7. toyota prius race car? aaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahaha
  8. and plenty of race cars have been rebuilt from much worse damage than that. that's only minor damage. as for the commodore comment, you take that back! NO commodore was ever good. having a mediocre nissan motor doesn't make the VL good. however the walky does improve it's standing.
  9. Rip simoncelli
  10. On a lighter note, stoner got a good start and was pulling away. And race cancelled they are saying
  11. Watched the replay again. it was rossi's front fender took his helmet off
  12. I was able to replay the crash in slow-mo. horrible crash. it looks like his leg was caught under the bike after running wide. looks like his arm was nearly ripped off, and his whole body took the impact, not just his head. Edwards bike ripped the helmet off.
  13. well technically speaking, the car isn't P plate legal because it has engine mods. that aside, by the sounds of it, the car has had the arse rapped out of it harder than $2 hooker having a 2 for 1 sale. it may have less kms than your car, but it has had a very hard life. it won't be long before something goes wrong.
  14. it doesn't matter how the defect notice is written by the cop, that actual law is that the lowest the car can be is 100mm, ut it must still have 2/3rds suspension travel. whichever is higher. it'ls like the law for steering wheels. from memory it is "you can put on a wheel that is 1" smaller than the stock wheel, or 250mm in diameter, whichever is bigger". pretty sure that when i checked my 33 wheel, if i'd put a wheel on that was 1" smaller than the stock wheel it would've been smaller than 250mm, so it would've been illegal. however in the case of a kingswood, if you put a wheel on that was 250mm in diameter it would be illegal because it would be about 3" smaller than the stock wheel. long story short, both conditions must apply, and in this case the condition which takes priority is the one that makes the car the highest off the ground.
  15. it may have had a bigger exhaust on it in japan, but since it has to be changed back to stock for compliance it may have even had a natro exhaust on there
  16. what was the cost of the pack?
  17. might not have been the original exhaust
  18. you also have to take note of the second part of the bold text. you could get a 4wd hilux and lower it to be 102mm off the ground, but since it would have pretty much no suspension travel it would be illegal. so going off what you said about it having stock shocks with king springs, it isn't running stock suspension like you said in an earlier post. it has most likely been lowered. if it hasn't been drastically lowered then it should still have at least 2/3rds of the original suspension travel. oh and as for the ground clearance, even having a zip tie hanging down below 100mm can cause you to be defected for being too low.
  19. or see if there are any part numbers on them and go into your local auto parts store and see if they can get replacements
  20. probably written by a teenager
  21. it's a NA gts4. anything over 170kmh in most NA low power, small displacement engined cars and they will take a while to accelerate. don't let the exagerted acceleration by people in here make you think your car is slower than what it should be.
  22. looks like a cross between an enzo and a 458.
  23. it's not a funny post, it's a serious post that more noobs need to take notice of
  24. pretty sure it's 2.5"
  25. LOL would've been funnier if he hadn't been on one of the slowest cars on the track though.
