the rig is running rich. how i know?! i swapped my rear muffler to a kakimoto. And a couple of tanks later the exit pipe was black already. So i guess the car is running rich. And i ran with boost 98 with that 2 tanks. I filled up with bp 95 the other day cos i ran out of fuel and they only sell 95 octane in the country side. I took it easy on the gas pedal and it ran dine. Im guessing that the engine was running rich which i dont really want. Cos thats wasting fuel and by running rich you actually lose power. ohh i almost forgot my rig is an RB26 and yes Ben tweaked the boost controller. From memory thats the maximum that the factory boost controller can do. But yea if i want more pwoer im gonna to have to install the Apexi boost controller.

actually i didt bring this up before. When i got the rig tuned. I brought all the parts to Ben. Parts includes Power Fc, boost Apexi boost cpntroller to match the Power Fcadjustable cams. I dropped it off and Guess what. Ben gave me back the boost controller and said that he didnt need the boost controller. he said at the power im tuning for factory boost controller is fine. It will hold boost. An i thought he was joking. After i got the car the turbos start boosting at about 2250 and full boost at about 4500rpm from memory. No pinging. And now im running on Boost 98 for my fiel. And Ben said that he prefers to use mobil 98, Bp Ultimate and Boost 98. So... i freaking wasted about A$400 for nothing. Cos my boost controller is sitting in my office collecting dust at the moment!!

Nismo Front Arm For R33gtr
stasis replied to stasis's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
so this nismo arm should be able to fix the camber problem then. The car is actually stiing on 360mm from the center of the wheel hub to the wheel arch. normally would these arms be lighter than the std arrms? and stronger? -
Nismo Front Arm For R33gtr
stasis replied to stasis's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
so you have the same arm too? before you change the arm your camber is -0.5 and now its -2.5 am i right? My camber now is about -1.6 and i want to change it to -0.5 for the front to reduce tire wear. My objective of getting this arm was to reduce the camber from -1.6 to -0.5. Will this arm do it? Or i have to replace the arm bushes by using an aftermarket ones like whitelines or super pro? i have the same problem with the rears too. The rear ca,ber is sitting at -2.68 at the moment!! I went and bought an aftermarket rear upper link to correct that to -1 for the rears. Im just unsure of the diameter of the super pro's bushes are the same as the nismos bushes. i hope it is. The fact is i know the JIC fron camber arm would not give you a posicitve camber at all it will give you only a negative camber. -

will i be able to fit an aftermarket adjustable cambe bushes on these? Will they(bushes ) fit onto the arm? -
WOW!! i like it when you talk dirty man!!
-
Guys any one know about this part? Is this adjustable? Or wat is the advantage over the original ones? Will this fix camber probelms? I need positive camber. Lemme know. Yudy

what type of exhaust did you actually get?
-
soz for hijacking this thread. I think i have a smilar problem. Whats that thing rigt underneath at the start of the rear tailshaft? Right after the transmission manual It looks like a wiper motor being wrapped up. And its got a tube running to the rear of the car. Its got a big patch of oil on it. Its not dripping but you can tell when the car its up in the hoist. Is it the ATTESSA? Its not dripping oil or anything but its just damp. :emme know.
-
i did it the other day but i cant remove the damn plugs to the power controls. How did you unplug it? the side morrow adjuster can be unplugeed easy but not the power window one. Lemme know. thanks Yudy

Hi guys, needs a bit of opinions here. Got a 98 S1 260rs basically its a R33 GTR. When i took my car in for alignment on saturday i noticed the undercarriage was a bit damp. So today i got the chance to take a look at it. I can pin point the area which is right underneath where the rear tailshaft starts. Whats that? And it got a pipe which is insulated running toward the back of the car? Is Is it the Hicas or Attessa? Lemme know. THanks guys Yudy

Making Your Stagea A Fuel Miser
stasis replied to groonsnout's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Im using baldwon filters and i think repcos fuel filter. As for air filter im suing K&n drop in replacement filters which runs great with the car. Oil wise im using Castrol cos Ben from racpace wanted to use it. I personally like using Mobil synthetic. Im currently using Castrol 10w-70. -
generally Hks, apexi sounds nice . is yours an Rs4? it might be abit hard to source it since theres a limited number of stagea around. but i think they go genreally about 7-800 bucks a pop. It also depends are you going to mod the car? If you do get a bigger exhaust now. Dont get a small one and later to find its not sufficient and buy another bigger exhaust. Of course get a stainless steel ones. It might be more expensive but it in the long run its well worth it.. I suggest you tto get a local made dump pipe, high flow cat converter and a branded exhaust. Although you can just get a generic ones. Its just personal taste. I have a Nismo onefull cat back system and it sounds very nice. But now i have a Kakimoto now just the muffler section for now. Its very very quite cos there was modification made to it. Again its entirely what you want. If you want power gain japanese brand. If you want just a rumbly sound you can get a generic one. I dont think a custom made exhaust would be much different from a branded oned in term of costings.
