  1. yea probably next week if i can to pick it up on thursday after lunch. then i will have timme to get it rego then into racepace for full body check up And i just found out that all my parts have arrived from Japan except for my nismo echaust

  4. yes it would be very difficult to get the color matched up even by the panel beater. They use a computer color codes to mic the paint up. They cross reference it with the nissan colors. If they didnt get it right your car will ooklike its got a lighter tan on the newly painted section. or more tan. So its best to get a panel beater that uses computer color mixer and of course oven baked and fresh . If you want to DIY i suggest you remove the section that you want and just let them paint it.

  8. thats what i have in mind as well but im still debating on wheter to get a GTR (plenty of choices_ or to get a Tein Coilover type HA for a 260rs (limited choices). From ypur experience do you have an idea of the Teins type HA? As for spring rate front: 10㎏ rear: 9㎏ for type Ha. BTW does blistein do coilover for 260rs?
  9. What brand did you get for your whee; bearings? And how much you paid for it? Other than than any other problems in the underbody such as find rusts ETC? Wrap in a Quote
  10. yea true the detune it cos their auto gearbox cant take it. This is also true for an Rx8 an uto the rev limit is at 7k where the manuak goes to 9.5k rpm.
  11. Sk are the 260rs suspension the same as the R33/34 GTR exactly the same? Just want to clarify this thats all. Will it fit? And how will it work? Good or bad?

  14. thanks bud. Yea the reason why i bought the 260rs is i dont need to do much to it/ you know like conversion and stuff like that. ALthough i might be very tempted to get a whole new engine block though. Replacing the current one with weither A rb26Z2 which is tuned bt Nismo or by HKS or HRD. But i like to keep the specs original though. Plus labor costs are CRAZY!! now. Im sure you guys know about it. From economical point of view buying RS4s then upgrading it to a Rb26 actually costs more than a 260rs if you take into calculations of your time spent on it and the loss time(therefore loss of income). But then again it all comes down to the amount of cash at hand when you buy the car. I used every single resources that i can get (not financing) to get the 260rs. Not trying to be smart ass but thats the way i was thought in my econ class. Hope fully the car will come out from the compliance place w/o any hassles. I blew the budget by at least $500 at tleast at the moment. Im just waiting from my insurer to confirm wheter the current alarm system on the car is sufficient for them. If not i have to get a new set of oz alram system with immobilise installed. THis will cost me rougly $350 installed by the compliance. Wish me luck man
  15. try to get a few qoutes from a good panel beaters around your area. Normally panel beater that have good cars (Bms, mercs ETC) will be a good indication or those used by the dealers(Bmws, mercs ETC) Offer them a cash job which will be much cheaper. My panel charge me for a fender $300 the last time i did respraying. Dont forget though they have to take off the bumpers that might add abit on the labor. But then if you a skill full enough take it off yourself to save abit on the labor

  19. Yea cruise probaly the car now is your mistress now . Well its good at least you got a thing that you really like doing and enjoying the moment now. At least you got the knowledge and the experience. As for me im totally a newbie. I can change oilds, radiator fluid, brake pads( i think). Changing fan belts but othere than that im totally dumbfound. HMMM!! probably i should carnapped your car . HAHAH!!! just kidding buddy.
  20. Allrite i wll check the car once i got ti back from the compliance place. Hmm thats a thought of frinving it in the rain to wash the underbody of the car and it is a 4wd you know. Heheh!
  21. BTW since our rear windows are all tinted pitch black. Are we actuallly allowed to tint (lightly 20%) on the front windowa?

  23. Ok people easy question i think for you guys. Now for us who just imported cars from Japan as all of us in some does it. Cos Nissan dealers dont sell Stageas in Oz. So i gues everyones car in this forum were being imported at on stage in time. I have been hearing alot from people (not from this forum) saying that if we just imported a car from Japan it is advisable to detail our cars especially on the underbody. Due to the time spent at sea and the stuff they used to disinfect the car before leaving Japan. Somebody mentioned this in the forum cant remember who is it. Is true that we have to detail our car once we got it?
