Mine is a series1 98' mdl. You mean taje sinedodyelse's nissan remote key and try ut? As far as i know the ingition (where you insert the key to start the car) patrol and nissan navara and infitis are exactly the same . I've seen it sam type of ignition. Sont know wheter it uses the same balnk or not though. I ahve actually asked my autelec this afternoon about this. He asked me to look for the brand of the alarm fisrt under the bonnet the control box should be twice the size of a cigarrete box. If we can get the brand in oz then we are in luck (note this is for after alarm system & keyless entry). if not have to replace the system but still using the existing wiring therefore save abit on the labor itself. I have to check it when i get my car back or go to the compliance place on frinday to check it out. Cos the insurance company requires an imobiliser to be installed(at least) before they can activate the polucy. My car actually have both alarm system and immobilser not sure about keyless since i dont have the remote yet. Btw when i close the trunk at the back i notice after slamming it shut theres a motor sound after that. What dos that do actually?

Hi Chool, i assumu this works only with a nissan keyless entry and not the aftermarket keyless entry? I just got my car (still in compliance) and i noticed that i was given only a niismo key and nothing else. Now the car obviously have an alarm system and an immobiliser (a red lights blinking on the dash) and got no remote. Can i follow you instructions and get a partol remote and reprogram it that way? If not i will have to replace the whole thing which i not keen on? Thanks buddy

ok guys problem solved!!! PHEW!! Lets just say this you sctratch my back i scratch yours kinda of deal with the compliance. Im planning to use Racebrakes if i need anymore pads. U think by far the are one off the best value pads to get. If i remember correctly a set of front and rears i can get it for under A$500, see what you guys think. BTW i found out during compliance your car actually needs to be at least 10cm from the ground (lowest point of the bumper bar to the ground). If you are less than 10 cm than you are required to change back to a srock suspension. If the compliance place is telling me the truth. Will see. Thanks again people

personally i would suggest do the small services or the easy task yourselves and leave the hard ones to the mech. WE are paying them to do it must well let them do the hard ones

Well cruise oops o forgot about your car too much work load. Anyways like i said before it as to be a specifice part number on the pads. As far as i know theres a nissan part # on the box and theres brembo part # on the pad itself. Cos Nissan is selling brembo pads using a nissan box So i will beed cinfirmation from the compliance today will let you guys know. Also i suspect that the spring in my car is not std. Cos its in red color. That why im also asking for a loaner for the suspension. I will try yahoo though. Well guys guess what!? i need to borrow off somebody's 260rs original brake pads that have a specific part numbers on it. The part #s will be listed below. As you all know i sent my car for compliance on Saturday, i chatted with the mech and he told me that the brake pads have to be an original ones. Thus the specific part numbers on the damn pads. I said ok and i checked with Yarra Valley Nissan and gues what for the set of 2s it will set me back 2.1ls . Ohh shit!!! im nor going to pay freaking 2ks for 2 pairs of brake pads!! So if somebody got the pads can i borrow it? Just the get the car thorugh the compliance inspectors. It doesnt have to be new. Let me know. Thanks guys Pads Part #s : 41060 aa393 44060 ab085

Ok guys just sent my car for compliance today to kamikaze and i asked them about the brake pads issue that im worried about. The guys said that if the car came with an aftermarket brakepads they are rquired to be change to the specific pads that have a specific part # 41060aa393 (front) and rears are part # 44060ab085. Does any of the aftermarket brake pads have these part #s? i doubt it. If so i will most likelt get ripped off for having to change to a genuine brake pads (brembo) remember people i have the 260rs. SIGH!! 1k gone. let me know people

BTW did your Varbon hood came with the car when you bought it? Is it a wet carbon or a dry one?

yea it was my younger bro's isea to put on the old plates of his. SSSHHH!!!!!! Although the car for registered for 2 days i bought a temp rego for it but want to save of the hassle being pulled over by the cops. Ska what kinsd of bumper you've got? Also fuel consumption are pretty thirsty if you tharsh it its like me in the onld days guzzling beer!! . Thats why as soon as i found out from Racepace that Power Fc can save fuel i when and bought one in the group buy. so... BTW took the car in to kamikaze today for compliance. They will start the process on monday and it will take 2 wks then rego. Will keep you guys posted
