Quinny replied to Quinny's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Make an offer, this is a brand new ARC intercooler kit dirt cheap. I don't need it anymore as I am selling the Skyline and it is in my way now. -

AVCR has been sold, amended post for FMIC. Open to sensible offers. This kit has literally just arrived from Japan, only picked up from the post office today. -

Not really interested in a swap unless it is for a Commodore. Let me know if you are keen. -

I have a FMIC kit which I bought for my R33, but I have decided the sell the Skyline, so the FMIC goes too. The cooler has been imported from Japan, it took 6 weeks to get here, and I am basically selling it for what I paid for it, so you get the discount of Japanese imported parts without the hassles associated with actually getting them imported. The FMIC is an ARC Turn-Flow unit. The core measure 470x260x70mm. ARC is renowned for their quality, and are the brand of choice for several top japanese tuners. They are regarded as one of the best intercoolers on the market. The smaller core and shorter piping will allow better throttle response than a regular 600x300 cross-flow unit, while not compromising on cooling efficiency. It connects to stock R33 intercooler piping, which means that no cutting of the chassis is needed. Kit retails for around $2000. Comes brand new, in box, with all piping, hoses and clamps. $1200ono. Please PM or email [email protected] if you are interested.

That was done at Sureflo Exhaust on their chassis dyno, power figure is at the wheels. -

I have the dyno sheet to prove it mate. It was a little higher than I expected, but that is what the dyno said. -
I feel that my brief love affair with my R33 Skyline must come to an end. It is a great car, but I miss my V8s. Here is a basic run-down: Year: Apr 1996 Model: R33 Series 2 GTS-T Trans: 5 speed manual Colour: Black Kms: <74000 Rego: May 2007 Standard Skyline features: *Factory Body Kit *4 piston brakes *Climate Control Air Con *Power Steering *Power Mirrors *Power Windows *Limited Slip Diff Added Extras: *17" SSR 5 spoke wheels with good tyres *Lowered suspension *turbo-back exhaust system *HKS pod filter *Cusco front strut brace, and rear strut brace *Pioneer MP3/WMA CD player, Fusion 4ch amp *Brand new Exedy heavy duty clutch This is an awesome example of an R33 series 2. The car made 178rwkw recently, and is completely stock apart from exhaust and pod filter. Stock turbo, computer, boost, intercooler, everything. May consider trade for VT SS, VX SS, VS V8 ute or VU SS ute, manual only. Asking $16500 firm for quick sale. If the car that I want sells, price will be $17500. See the link in my sig for pics. I also have an ARC intercooler and Apexi boost controller on it's way from Japan which I will sell separately. PM or call 0411174831 for if you are interested.

Fs: Mx83 Cressida Glx - Price Drop
Quinny replied to Dose Pipe Sutututu's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
How about a swap. $14500 + the Cressy for my R33 S2. See the link in my Sig for pics. -
I am looking at doing an engine conversion on mine. Not an RB26 either.... I am thinking LS1 V8, just for the hell of it.
-
Here is a pic of the inside of the ECU, looks pretty stock to me..... I took off the AFM and checked it, it was a little dirty, but nothing really. I took the wire gauze off the front of it because I read that it can be a restriction.
-
I got the fuel pressure checked this morning, the pressure was between 35-40psi at idle (240-250kpa), which seems about right, considering all other Nissans are 245kpa. So that would indicate that the pump and regulator are ok (I would think). I will change the fuel filter and clean the AFM today as well, but hopefully it is nothing serious. Any other ideas? I suppose I can open the ECU and see if it has a standard chip in it...
-
I am hoping it is just a fuel filter or something like that, the car will get a service pretty soon. I don't think that it is dangerously lean, but it definitely needs to be sorted.
-
I got the dyno sheet from Sureflo showing the AFR on it. It doesn't look good. Starts at just below 13 at low revs, then down to 12.5, back up to 13, back down to 12.5..... That seems way too lean for a stocker. Not sure if it makes any difference but this was the 4th run on the dyno, and looking at the speed I would say it was done in 3rd.
-
I hope that the pump is not on its last legs. The car only has 73000 on the clock, and given the condition of the car and the way it runs, seems to be pretty close to genuine. Surely a fuel pump wouldn't cark it after 73000kms. I am kind of hoping that I am wrong about the AFR, it might have been 12s to 11s, but I need to get a hold of the graph to find out.
-
Added RPM to the graph instead of speed. I used the formula to work out the RPM for the speeds we were using, rather than reworking the speed for a given RPM because that would require re-entering all the power figures. Power_Curve_XL_Sheet.zip
-
I can set this up as a formula on the sheet if you would rather see RPM than speed.
-
To save the hassle of re-entering all the figures, I made the changes to the original sheet. The graph is now on a separate tab, and will display only the first 5 records. Enter the number 1 to 5 of the records you want to see, and press Sort by Rank to have those 5 appear on the graph. I added a Max power field, and a sort macro to sort by max power so show the top 5 most powerful cars. Power_Curve_XL_Sheet.zip
-
I have done a remake of the sheet. It will require the re-entering of the figures unfortunately, but I have made a couple of changes. I have changed the speed scale from 3's to 2's. More notably, I have set up the graph to display only 5 figures at a time. I have added a Rank function (row 2) so you just enter in the numbers 1 to 5 above the figures you want the graph to display, then press the "Sort by Rank" button. The figures will be sorted and the graph will display the results you wanted. Or you can sort by Max power, I have added a Max Power row at the bottom of the table, you can sort to show the 5 most powerful cars on the graph. Hopefully this will be a little more user-friendly and a bit easier to read. I can always change the graph to read more than 5 if need be, but having the graph limited to a specific number of records, rather than all of them being shown at once will keep things a bit tidier. I hope this helps. Power_Comparison.zip
