FOr future references, i took my line to Barett Brothers in Fyshwick. They have been very helfull so far and have a 3-4 week quote as it will take 1.5-2 weeks just for delivery of parts. (My whole rear end is being shipped over hehe. But yea they give me updates and that. Their place seemed heaps clean and professional

GEEZUS!!!!! the amount of &*^$ that i have had to go through. i ring the insurance compnay every 2 days to see whats going on. Seems that Alianz is a cheap $#%^$^ insurance company that has to claim through another insruance compnay. Seems that the big insurance compnay sent the check for the repairs on the 20/10/06. which was a bloody long time ago, 1 week after the crash to be exact. And ofcourse knowing my luck it got lost, and they only just found that out! So i am going to pay for the repairs and get reinbursed because this is going to take another 4 weeks to resolve and the car is just sitting there. Infact the repairers rang up today and said what are we doing with the car besides driving in and out of their garage day and night, they said they have had to fill it up aswell lol. So yea its getting repaired now. Please anyone out there that is insured under alianz........GO TO A REAL INSURANCE COMPANY, theyw ill only cause u pain as they still are learning about the business unlike big players like aami,nrma, just car insurace etc. peace out

Back to the skyline.... seems alot of people in the insurance industry smoke crack while working. Took me 6 phonecalls and about 3 hours to find out its not written off, and that it will be fixed. on the downside, it will take apprx 3 weeks to get approved, then another 2 weeks for parts to arrive, then another week or so for fixing. DAMN U PAPERWORK!!!! Got offered a nice skyline for cheap from some friends but won't be getting a pay out so oh well.

Geez sucks man. Feel for you. Good luck in your serach to find perhaps a cheaper to run car. And in the meantime maintaining a fatter wallet ;-)

Any crazy jap window tint? Myne was 4% visibility..........Had to get that taken off. Heard of quite a few ppl having to fix parking lights etc, make sure every ligth works. make sure seat belt stoppers are working. The guys picked me off for having a very small hole in the muffler.

NEED MORE PHOTOS, WHAT DOES THE STEREO LOOK LIKE? Interior? Nice fuel cap, and nice 4 stud wheels. Not very good photos to sell ur car on. Maybe if we could see that the seats are made of gold then we woulnd't criticise the high price.

okay i now can do my own research to proove this guy wrong. How very wrong he was!!!! Couldn't find a 95 sedan for less than 16000 (found one for 13 but had done 150000k's, had a bigger turbo, lowered etc. So myne would be worth a fair bit more (on the market) So the Insurance guy who is checking it out again tomorrow (the car) will give me a call and ill give him a mouthfull.

They are saying that it might be a right off, i asked them why and they said that because the car is worth 10 grand, the repair will cost 9.5 grand, it isn't worth it and they would prefer to hand me out the money. I told them that i was hunting for the perfect car for nearly 6 months and never found a cleaner example for as cheap as i got ($13000) in completely stock form manual (1995). Looks like they found some real crummy examples with 50000000000 km's on the clock? wat retards, i couldn't even find a 1995 manual. Closest was a 1996 manual turbo, 5000 more k's than myne, and cost 17000..............Im gonna ask them for at least 14000

Well the insurance blokes i have to go through Alianz, Said their duty is to restore the car to pre-crash condition, so i have no idea. I will call Barter Brothers and ask about the paint. See what you mean though about the pearl. Cheers

haha yea betta for 9.5 grand worth of new parts! Just for the painting it costs more than 1000, for the booth use, pearl paint, etc

Yea rang the guys, they said its mostly due to the pearl paint (factory). and frieght as all the parts need to come from japan as new as there are no second hand r33 sedan parts that they need available.

SWEET GEEZUS!!!! crazy, got the quote back.......$9500 for repairs!! so happy im not paying! oh and the frontal damage is around $1500. poor baby. They were saying its alot more damage than they orginally thought. Most of the cost is getting the parts etc.

That would suck if it does have shakes/squeeks or wat not. Argh!!!!!!! Fingers crossed. The Barter Brothers seemed like a really good place so heres hoping they do an awesome job! Saw a skyline there by the way, they said it was just finished being repaired. Might be someones here?

I think she was smoking crack. Shes such a b****. She reckons it wasn't her fault. too bad the police and insurance don't agree with her. She abused me on the phone the other day, i have been so nice to her considering what she did, she just snapped, "I didn't do anything wrong, you were speeding, i couldn't see because it was dark, my brakes didn't work, bla bla bla" Didn't know there were that many excuses. In the end i just said look lady you got two options, here is a quote for the repairs, how you pay for it is up to you, give me the cash or make a claim and we'll do it through insurance. "Okay watever. bye!" god damn. ppl on our road. I was sereously in the middle of a crazy crack smoking b**** and a rebel P plater who has no cause. - Ill take that back about the p-plater, he has been extremely good and fast with the whole process. Neway, while its in for repairs im thinking of getting it touched up, and also was thinkking of replacing the rear garnish, and rear lights with the series 2 ones which i prefer. This should cost the same but maybe a little extra as ithey will need to be painted im guessing. Obviously i will pay the extra if they let me do that that is. But would give skyline a new arse to show off and maybe cheer her up abit ;-) But otherwise looks like everthing should be okay. Not sure about long term damage to skyline, but guys from trojan motorsport will help out to source parts etc which is awesome of them. Should be on the road in say 4 weeks or so :-( :-) Oh and wat does it mean when someone says that the car may never be the same again?

Spotted myself on drakeford drive on the side of the road friday night with a rear end 10" shorter than normal. And to all those wankas out there who yell out of their doof doof mobiles or taxis - F U!!!!!!!! I know i was in a crash, and i don't need everyone to point out the obvious, no need to yell it like a bogan out ur window as you drive at 5km/h then hoon away. My girlfriend was so impressed by them, thought they were so cool.....NOT! THey nearly caused so many crashes slowing down. Saw a skyline zoom past. think it was like 830ish maybe.

skyline was injured!!!!! Yea nah very grateful was only a small incident. Still keep thinking someones gonna bash into me when im driving now. sucks
