Whichever way you decide to go I would reccommend doing a full inspection including compression and leak down test. Sure it costs more, but will save you money in the long run. Make sure it is done by a reputable place too. We have plenty of good workshops here in Sydney, so don't skimp on finding the right car.

Interior and engine Bay shots available in a few weeks when I do a photoshoot with justinfox. Anyone who wants to see it in person is welcome to have a look. -
I have the opportunity to go overseas at the end of the year to play ice hockey, and would really like to do it while I still have the chance - so I am thinking about selling my baby to finance the trip. The car is a 1993 Nissan Skyline R32 GTST with an RB25DET conversion. The car has had a complete respray (in and out including engine bay). All work has been done professionally, and I can provide receipts for everything. The car is a daily driver and gets about 420kms to every tank (approx $55). I don't drive it too hard as I would like to be able to keep getting nice cars at low insurance prices (no loss of points or accidents for me).. Car runs at 7psi normally and 10psi when on open roads. The car has no accident damage at all. It is garaged 24/7 and the paint job is about 4 weeks old - so it is an absolutely immaculate car. It would suit an enthusiast who doesn't want to fiddle around sourcing parts, and calling and visiting workshops. You get an awesome car with absolutely no problems immediately. Would also suit someone who wants a nice fun car, that is very reliable. IT handles like a dream and really goes when you put your foot down. I am willing to put this car through ANY mechanical inspection as long as it does not conflict with my working hours and is done by a reputable mechanics workshop. People will not be permitted to drive the car until a deposit has been paid. No test pilots. Everything that could have gone wrong with this car has been replaced. The RB25DET has 95,000 and had it's major service done while being installed into my car. All fluids were flushed, belts and pumps replaced etc.. For a full list of modifications and images please visit: http://paul3.sitesuite.ws/persistent/site/index.html All work done by: http://www.revriteperformance.com Please note that the R32 with RB25 on their site is not mine. This was the mechanics car which made me want an RB25 in my car. Also, the fact that he had done the conversion before let me know that he could handle the job well. Price: $23 000 o.n.o Phone: 0412591369 Email/MSN:

MR R32 replied to Astroboy's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
have owned 2 R32's and think that they are an absolutely awesome car to own and drive. Weaknesses: suspesion - this can be overcome by getting a model that has aftermarket shocks and springs, castor rods, control arms, and buschs.. They have been driving for 10+ years now so this aspect of the car has copped a bit of a beating. Engine Condition - u plan on buying a sports car, so understand that it has been driven like one before you bought it... This means that for the past 10 years the car has been used for the same reasons you want to use it for (maybe worse). Have a full compression and leak down test done. A few hundred extra dollars on some comprehensive testing may save you thousands in the long run.. Take it to a reputable mechanic to be tested. Fuel Pump - definately a weak spot on the R32. Try and get one that has had it replaced. Door, window, and sunroof seals - prone to wear and tear, and could mean the car leaks when it rains. Accident History - have the car checked from top to bottom - last thing you want is rust to appear down the track from cheap repair work. Interior Condition - check the dash, gear boot, steering wheel, and the roof towards the rear windscreen. ------------------------------------------------ ABS Speak to Just Jap www.justjap.com about having this installed -
I had some stains from something after having my respray done, and I used this product made from Oranges... clear bottle of orange fluid - orange magic or something.. Worked a treat!

Painter is an individual who specialising in panel beating. He organised the painting, towing, and fitted the bodykit and stripped the car himself. The car was very tidy before it resprayed so he had a pretty good surface to start with. Won't give out his details on here as it is a mobile number - but if you are interested in having your car resprayed, PM me and I will get you in contact with him..
-
I asked the painter to roll the guards as the rims on the back are 9.5 inches wide, and this is how it came back to me. I am so happy with the way that he did it - heaps of effort put it for a really nice result. Looks great even when you look really close. Needless to say this was done before painting - so they are done perfectly.. The paint is based on the Subaru MY01 STi - but I think it is a little different. I originally was looking for a nice R32 for around the 17-18 mark but never found something which really flicked my switches so I went about making my R32 the way I liked it. It really didn't cost all that much to build - have been collecting parts for the past 6 months, and then as soon as I found the engine and gearbox, I said "Here you go" to Fred at RevRite Performance.
-
suspension kit, intercooler, electronic boost, full exhaust, pod filter, short shifter, clutch... Good mods for everyday driving. Don't have any photos of the engine bay yet - but it looks the same as any Skyline engine bay with intercooler pipes and a pod filter. Want to have a nice box made up for the pod filter though. The engine bay has been painted though - not the engine itself, just the engine bay. The RB25 looks exactly the same as the RB20 once it is fitted.
-
Well I got my R32 back last week. Had a full respray, RB25DET and gearbox put in as well as a few other small mods. Before: After:
