  1. Non turbo - turbo = win. Turbo - non turbo = super phagy time Seriously though, how long does she have left on her restrictions? Not one to promote illegal activities, but if It's not too long, keep the car stock as a rock and she'll fly under the radar of the police 99% of the time. If she ever does get pulled over, she can play the ignorance card... Sorry I've probably been no help at all ¦p
  2. Yeah OS8ON is isn't any more than 5mm clearance on the rear, the front a touch more. I think with a further 15mm of clearance, I should think I'd be avoiding all scraping on the rear shock and front camber arm, except maybe in the most extreme circumstances (full car, full lock, very steep driveway....not common at all for me luckily). Now i see why most feel the perfect fitment for a c34 Stagea is 9" with a +12 or +15 offset....makes perfect sense. I'll be on the hunt for some lower offset Meisters in a 9 or 9.5" when the $$ are there!
  3. Sprayed my grill, now it's suits the dayze carbon fibre insert....plus i hate chrome
  4. Ok so hubcentric spacers in 10-15mm and a light guard roll if necessary 'should' do the trick Run-It-Hard? Can you see any problems arising with that combination? And googlez-10, with generic spacers I'd agree, but going hubcentric, longer studs shouldn't be necessary true?
  5. I want that on my c34
  6. I want this so bad!!!
  7. Thanks for all the comprehensive info guys! A lot to take in. Would slip on hubcentric spacers, say 15mm, be an easier option to move the rim away from the inner scraping issues.....or will I create other problem with widening the track even more? Am I right in saying this will move my offset from +30 to +15 effectively? From my limited knowledge, I think this would work....but I'm pretty hopeless with the complexities of hubs and the like, and although I want the rims back on, I want a safe ride more than anything! Links to clearance vids. Keeping in mind, I was on a driveway to demonstrate the rubbing, on a flat surface obviously there is clearance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Lpi0fd0zuQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player FRONT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R01hZVm7rlw&feature=youtube_gdata_player
  8. Thanks stealth-ish, I ended up diagnosing the scraping issue and yep like you, it was scraping the shock absorber when weight moves onto the back corner, but was also hitting the camber arm on the front in the same sceario. I was assured on here that 9.5 +30 is no sweat....but I guess is need some adjustments in my suspension to cater for the width. And I'll be checking the attesa fluid resi asap! And coparts41, thanks man....the synchro is all good aside from very high revs so It's something I can live with for now. And yep....standard sus plus wide rims seems to be a no go
  9. Hey guys, so It's been a week since I've owned my stage and overall I'm loving it. Feels solid, handles unreal for its size and weight, and that neo is just sooooo smooth. Really happy I took the stagea road. A few things I'd just like to run past for those that know them really well. First, when coming to a stop, there is a really faint sound coming from the rear I can only describe as a rudder type sound that stops about 1 second after the car has come to a complete stationary position. Any ideas? Second, my rims which are 18x9.5 +30 scrape on the inside if I'm on full lock going up a driveway or similar. Should I worry or just be more careful on my full lock angles? I've got stock suspension and hoping to go a set of coil overs soon.....will this bring me more trouble? Third, my 4th gear synchro is a bit crap. I understand this is pretty common on gtr boxes, and only really happens at high revs. I've heard there is a 'rebedding' process you can do on the road, but unsure exactly how it works? Also would a gearbox flush/top up of the factory oil or something like redline shockproof help? Cheers for any feedback in advance!
  10. I'll look out for you champ, any pics of yours?
  11. Cool yep, bit of a hike from my way. And R1 as a daily is awesome! I'm guessing it doesn't take you too long to get to work
  12. Really? Yeah they're a decent fitment for a stage.... My hunt will continue for some 18x9 +15 Meisters though, when I have the $ and some coil overs to complete the look.
  13. Cheers guys, I'm loving it a lot! Cowboy1600 I'm in the s.e suburbs of Melb, you? And i notice you have an R1, as well as an rs4s! I've got an R1 too, an 07....that's my 'so fast it scares me' toy
  14. So the compliance and RWC process was all done and dusted mid week and all that was left to do was register it on Friday. The place that I bought it from took the risk of leaving the HID's in, and it paid off as they didn't look at anything beside the compliance sticker on the car at vicroads. It helped that it was stock standard looking, including factory airbox I'd already had my eye on a set of rims as I really didn't like the stock wheel 'look'...so narrow and boring. So straight after picking it up, I went to import monster and trial fitted the 18x9.5 +30 Versus Afterburner's. Clearance was good, so I snapped them up. The 'titanium look' lip is a bit funky, but does grow on you lol. Some coil overs are next on the list. Will be more of a cruiser than a bruiser, so performance mods will be limited to bolt on breather type mods, return flow fmic, panel k&n, ebc, front pipe and metal cat (has 3" cat back already) and possible nisstune. But these will come later. Anyway, hope you all enjoy the pics, and I'll look forward to a few Melb SAU cruises!
  15. Ended up with the 18x9.5 +30's. Good fit. Pics up soon
  16. Yep, not sure if I'll go staggered just yet. Might be going for a set of cheap 18x9.5 +30 all round that I've come across for a while until I can get the the $ together for some more aggressive Meisters and coil overs. They'll fit directly on no hassles and look waaaay better than the stockies for now
  17. You got a good deal if 'you' think you got a good deal champ. It's all relative to what yiu consider good value. My 2 cents, buy the time It's on the road looking and running properly, you deal will be ok...not a bargain but not a total rip
  18. Lmao, funniest and truest quote on sau in a while
  19. Yeah I prefer the even all round look tbh, as tempting as it is to go 10 or 10.5" on the back, I think the 9.5 with decent (30+ or below) offset will do fine
  20. Cheers boys, will look into all brands and styles when the time comes....realistically, it'll be more of a budget set as it'll be exclusively a street car, so no need to go all out
  21. Hmmm ok so what's the rule with staggered fitment and attesa? As long as the tyres are the same width?
  22. Awesome, thanks guys! Will end up with some coil overs at some point as well, so have to take into account the lower stance. But sounds like it'll be sweet. Also have my eye on some 18x9.5 + 30 which I'm assuming will be no issue since they're less aggressive.
  23. Sounds really cool, but ^ he is right. Parting it out if you have the time would be the best way to get back some $$. For comparisons sake, there is an R32 with fresh respray, rb30det (300+kw), immac interior, complete ready to drive for $13k on these forums. Best of luck though, sounds like you've put a lot of time, effort and $ into it so far....shame these cars aren't worth all that much any more....
