Hi there. I use a diluted all purpose cleaner like Optimum Power Clean and just some soft detailing brushes.
Spray it on. Let it dwell for a couple of mins and just agitate the area with a soft brush. Then rinse off.
Can you feel a difference in weight? The fake ones are lighter from my findings.

Some pics and exactly what compounds and polishes used would be great. Plus you need more than wool pads to get a better finish. Also run the machine a bit faster.

You didn't mention the auction car sold for $73,500 commands another 7% which then takes it close to 80k. Then add all the other bits like rego, possible new tyres, servicing, etc and the cheap selling price now seems a lot more.
