You mentioned the car will be used as a daily plus the occasional track days. Evo hands down, simple as that. I've driven both and Evo's are much easier to drive as a daily. On a small track like Wakefield, a lightly modded Evo will whoop ass over a similar tuned GT-R that's for sure. Both I have experienced on Wakie as well. But at the end of the day, a GT-R will always be in my garage no matter what. Like Master Chef said, ever drive is always a special and memorable experience in a GT-R, but that's probably because it's only a weekend car.

Or if you dont want to cut through the battery tray, take a look at the Blitz CS kits as they are a return flow and use part of the stock piping as well.

It's a very fair call what you have written Dan. There are many resprays that are the result purely on scratches that a polishing machine cannot rectify, and not from accident damage. I myself have done it in the past as well to fix up the paintwork with a respray. The most obvious way to tell if a car has had a rear hit is to look inside the boot. Remove all the trim and look at the beaver panels. There are 2 ways to rectify a damaged beaver panel. One is to repair the panel itself with panelbeating work and two is to replace the entire beaver panel itself. Unless you have the hands of da Vinci, you can tell quite easily that a beaver has been repaired. And even when a beaver has been completely replaced, you can tell by the seams. It's very hard to replicate the original seams. The colour, the consistency of the factory Nissan seal not many people can reproduce. Here's my old GTR in the boot. This is how it should look untouched. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c236/sig...1280_resize.jpg

If you dont like MP II with the green tinge, have you ever seen an MP III? I was originally going to buy an MP II but when I saw it in the sunlight, I was put off by the green as well too. But the MP III is a different story! Problem with MP III is that only 180 cars were ever built in that colour, so it will be difficult to find, although there's a dealership on Parramatta Rd that has one but is asking 70k for theirs.

Mind you, factory Nissan paint has peel as well, not as much as some euro cars I have seen but it's definitely there. But you're right, that peel around the fuel lid is too heavy for my liking. Personally I like it FLAT! I've cut my clearcoat back with a proper machine to make it as flat as I can get without overcutting. Cut it too much and it will go right through! lol

I have the Trust kit, goes on the passenger side behind the bumper. I have also cut out a section of the plastic inner splash guards and made up a mesh so that air flows smoothly through the cooler core.

I did some quick calculations for ya bro. 3 mil yen + your usual FOB of 100,000-150,000 yen would be about $39,500 AUD Duty on 39,500 bucks is $1975 (5% as of 1/1/2010) GST would be (39,500 + 1,975) x 10% equals $4148. So total inclusive of taxes is about $45622 AUD Then allow about $2300 for shipping and misc shipping/customs/port charges, aqis inspection, quarantine cleaning, local tow truck Compliance fee, depends where you go, between 2 to 3 grand. Then finally rego costs, im guessing about 1k. So what's that, about $51,500 all up. There you go
