  1. Your description is very similar to how I calculated mine as well. I have noticed the fuel gauge is not entirely accurate. One time I ran it until what I thought would be nearly empty. The yellow fuel warning light had been on for over 50kms when it first lit up and the needle was below the "E" indicator. I then filled the tank right up and to my surprise, it only took 73 Litres of fuel, which meant it had 7 litres left in the tank. But regardless of that, I still only manage to get about 550kms on a presumed full tank of fuel. I've also spoken to the dealer where the car was purchased as he drives an M35 himself. He confirmed with me that he does about the same mileage with his car as well. I'd love to get the mileage you guys are getting. Would obviously save me a shitload of coins per year.
  2. Andy, There are a few factors that can affect the rolling resistance of a car. Type of tyres used, tyre pressures, wheel alignment (toe in or out, camber, etc) , wheel bearing condition, cargo load just to name a few. Where do you live? Im happy to meetup sometime Im around Hornsby area.
  3. Hi Primo, when you say good tune, are you using and aftermarket ecu? thanks
  4. hey Ian, My cars done just over 50,000kms but judging by the wheel bearing failure, it may have done more.. Bet you cant wait till yours arrive. We should organise a stag cruise for Sydney siders.
  5. I have experimented with various driving styles, both lead footed and very conservative. If I drive like a bat outta hell, i'll only get 5km's per litre, or about 400kms per tank. When I drive light footed on a near full tank, i'll get about 7-7.5km's per litre, or about 560kms per tank. This is all in city driving. My car is also pretty much stock with only Bilsteins shocks and springs Thanks for your advice PRIMO, I will look into the O2 sensor. Andy, my car rolls fine in neutral, as good as any other cars Ive owned. Going down Mooney Mooney bridge in neutral it absolutely flies.
  6. Here's the website for this wicked turbo back system. Dump/front pipe, mid pipe and cat-back. http://www.garagemak.com/M35aero.html#m35ex
  7. And that's the problem Ive come up with. Finding a good Jap branded system on a budget. I found this small tuning shop that specialises in NM35 parts including a sensational full exhaust system, but the prices they're asking is way too expensive. And the mainstream brands unfortunately dont provide much for our cars. Eugene
  8. Thanks, I do want to get the sways done as well but i'm souring them from Japan, not locally so it's going to take some time. And the exhaust! trying to get more info on that as well from my suppliers in Japan. Will let you know if interested. Eugene
  9. I just did the Bilstein shock and spring upgrade today. Holy cow what a difference it made to the ride and handling of the car! My old shocks were stuffed anyway. No more bouncing around, the car is nice and firm on the road without being stiff or bone jarring. I love this car!
  10. The front Brembos off 350Z, V35 Skylines will fit without any mods at all. I trial fitted them when I took off my Brembos from the Zed. The rears im not sure 100% but my guess is that it's possible. For a good used complete set of Brembos, you're looking at about $2500-2800 including calipers, rotors and pads. Im considering upgrading the brakes next.
  11. Mmmm I love my heated leather seats. It's so damn nice to have in this bloody cold weather I've had mine since Feb this year. Firstly here's some good points. - incredible smooth torquey VQ motor, pulls nicely to redline - build quality is better than previous model and more leg room for passengers - nice bright factory xenons - everything electric - nice to open up the rear window when you dont need to open the entire rear hatch - nice plush ride, although my shocks died not long after i bought it. And here's some not so good points. - fuel economy is not as good as i expected, on an 80L tank I get about 550kms which is about 7kms per L. Highway economy is much better of course. - ride was a bit too soft for me, but when the shocks gave way it was just bouncing all over the place. I then bought new Bilstein shocks and springs and the ride is unbelievable. So much more complaint on the road and not too stiff. It's absolutely unreal how just changing the shocks enhances the ride and handling of the car. I would highly recommend it to anyone. - wheel bearings expired as well but thankfully they were replaced under warranty. The negative points may be an isolated case with my car and i dont expect many people to have the same issues. Thankfully the problems are not too serious and I must say, an NM35 is the best car i've ever purchased for a daily car.
  12. I have a brand new GReddy V-Spec cooler kit for NM35 Stagea. New they're about $1300, asking $1100 Sydney located. 0421 141 538 Eugene
  13. Any semi slicks in stock in 18's? I'm looking for 245, 255, 265, 285s thanks
  14. Thanks, it looks a whole lot better in the flesh.
  15. And you didnt want to mention it's a grey import car?
  16. Dr R, if this other guy doesnt take it, it's yours.
  17. Where do you think ARC, Blitz and GReddy coolers are made these days. You guessed it... That said, their cooling efficiency are more superior than your no named cooler kits.
  18. This is my one bought last month. She's still in Osaka but will be on a boat soon.. 1999 BNR34 Gt-R V Spec. Grade 4 / B. I set a budget of $50k AUD or under. This car will be way under my budget when regoed so I can buy mods for it.
  19. I was recommended to Nth Shore Prestige last year. Visited their small but tidy premises and workshop and was impressed at their condition of cars. Add another benefit of Ben who was very easy to deal with and no sales pressure at all. Went back there a few days later and purchased an R34 sedan. 4 months down the track I decided i need a bigger car so went back to Ben and he gave me a deal for an NM35 Stagea. I traded the R34 in for next to the price that i purchased it for, plus he gave me a $4k discount on the Stag. There's no way any other dealership would give me such a deal. 3 months after owning the Stag, the right front wheel bearing started to expire so I took it back and they covered it under warranty, even though it was just out of the 3mth warranty period. I was so impressed with how they conducted their business that I have told many ppl about them. So much so that 2 parties have already purchased their imports through Ben. On top of that, I bought my third car through Ben last week. He charges no fees for finding the right car for you in the Japanese auctions, as long as you comply the car through their workshop. He gave me a detailed summary of the breakdown of the costs from fob price, shipping, duty and gst, compliance, and other misc costs. This information proved very handy as I could compare it against other big online importers such as Prestige Motorsport, Imports 101 and J Spec. It worked out cheaper than all of the 3 mentioned importers, and in one instance, it was several thousand dollars cheaper. Their website is www.northshoreprestige.com.au
  20. I agree IMG buys good graded cars from Japan but they also markup their cars quite a bit. Another reputable importer that I have experienced is Northshore Prestige at Manly Vale
