yea, i was thinking maybe fuel pump, would that cause surging idle tho?

i have this problem too.. but when taking off in 1st when its cold... i think its the clutch because depending on the way you give the clutch, it happens.. if you rev it abit and let the clutch out, it doesnt happen.. not 100% tho

as far as i know its the stock ECU.. i did a ECU diagnostic on it the other day and it showed code 55 which afaik is "all ok"

Hey guys, i've been having this problem for a little while now and i was hopeful if anybody here could help me to pinpoint the problem? Sometimes, when im driving along, the car will cut out and stall all together.. When i turn it back on it does this: When i turn it back off, and on again, its fine .. I was thinking maybe its a shoddy alarm installation? I tried changing pods and cleaning the AFM.. could anybody help me out? Car has a stock BOV, happens every so often and i dont know how to re-create the problem to show any mechanics!

hey guys, one of my rear shockers started leaking recently, just wondering where i could pickup a replacement for a good price? I only know of pedders and they charge $225 per shock.. Also is it ok if i replace one shock since theres only one leaking? or will it screw up the balance of the car or something? i've checked most things now, AFM plug, cleaned the AFM, changed pods, reset the stock ECU, changed fuel filter etc... but im still getting this problem, anybody know of anything else that could trigger it? i've narrowed it down to a more consistent problem i think, anytime i have the accelerator flat above 4500+ rpm, it will feel like the power is on then off then on then off etc..., like short bursts of no power then its back

hey thanks paul, could it possibly be the fuel pump as well ? because sometimes it sounds a little noisy (when the key is set to ON)... what is the CAS plug ? i dont have a boost controller, the car is completely stock apart from a cat back exhaust, my boost gauge reads 0.5bar when on full boost and holds that, doesn't spike (when the car is running ok)

hey guys, sometimes in my r33 gts-t when i am in 3rd and boot it, go into 4th, try to accelerate - there will be no power, it feels like the car jerks forward like its trying to go but doesn't... eventually, the car comes to a stop and it tries to find idle (0-1500rpm), up and down but it cant. I have to switch the car off, wait 30sec-1min, restart the car and then its fine. the problem is very hard to recreate, it only happens rarely and the last time it happened i thought it was a clogged fuel filter but it obviously wasnt that.. anybody know anything obvious that might be causing this?

this happens to my car as well... does yours happen under heavy acceleration at about 5-6000rpm on full boost??

I think it all starts with parents, i was hit when i was a kid and shit scared of my dad to get upto anything too bad and my mums disappointed look would make me feel guilty for ages but because of this, i knew what was right and wrong. Too many child advocate groups now, 'dont hit your kids' blah blah bullshit, kids need to be afraid of their parents and know if they do something wrong they will be punished! NOT sent to your room (or some weak bullshit like that)!! Another issue underlying this is that divorce has spiked IMO, these heroes with no dads to give them a good lashing aren't there, so they think they answer to nobody. The government also seriously need to look at where they are focusing their police resources. They need to stop focusing SO much on traffic offenses (like if you travel 4km over the speed limit, you are the devil!) and deal with more serious matters like these. Police need more powers, they cant do anything to these fools because they can say the police used excessive force etc... and the coppa may be out of the job/suspended - people are quickly loosing respect for authority, people should be scared of the police. Lastly, the laws for assault need to be toughened up (the minimum penaltys) Pill popping is not the problem, its alcohol. Went to Sensation on NYE (40,000 or 50k people) and i didnt see any fights. Went to a pub last week, got started 2 times over nothing.

i think some people really need to exercise some common sense on both sides of the coin. I think its fine to put a memorial up as long as the people putting up flowers etc. dont do so covering vital signage however people need to take responsibility for their own actions - there are SO many more distractions when driving compared to a memorial that you may/may not see such as radios in cars, signs, billboards etc... if you ban memorials, where do you stop? people need to stop turning Victoria in to a nanny state, harden up and exercise some common sense and take some responsibility!
