  1. i seriously doubt you will pickup a r32 gts-t for under 5k...maybe if it was missing a engine or something
  2. hey mate, i've never disputed a defect because it seems like it would be a tedious process. i'd rather just fix it up how they want and be done with it. i don't get hassled by cops much anyway so i don't really care
  3. Court is just a waste of time & money, its just his word against the coppas. The cop can just argue it was illegal then it was made legal for the test both times.
  4. try give autobarn or repco a call, they have a bendix book and they can tell you which one
  5. go for HKS hi-power, its pretty good... very nice note
  6. hey mate, not sure if you can find a nice series 2 r33 for under 10k... but get the one you like the look of better... you can rebuild your S14 or get a R33 (Series1?) with mods, really depends on what you want, if u want a change etc... Not too sure about S14, but the Skyline has been known to have better build quality than the Silvia platform - the engine / gearbox is pretty tough as far as i know just as a added bonus, the RB doesn't sound like a fart can
  7. hey mate, If you are planning to buy a car here (second hand or otherwise), then you need RWC to change ownership of the car into your name. If the car is already in your name and registered, then you don't. Sounds like you will need a RWC. Rego is about $500+-/year Enjoy your stay in AU, blackburn is a nice area there's not much trouble etc.. on this side of town
  8. hey, thanks guys... looks like i might buy a GKTech Front & Dump pipe combo, sell the HKS exhaust and get a HKS Hi-Power Silent or something... hopefully its abit more quieter
  9. ok thanks mate, will try to measure it how can i quieten it down tho? like change the cat or muffler or do i need to replace the whole catback system?
  10. hey guys, just took 2 more pics... it looks like from the cat to the back its newer whereas the piping towards the front seem abit older
  11. thanks for the fast replies guys, so its definitely a catback system hey? damn.. i thought it was a turbo back since its got a massive pipe going up into the engine how could i quieten it down abit ? change the cat ?
  12. hey guys, I recently bought a new car. I wanted to know if this system was a turbo back or cat back system, the end of the muffler says "HKS Hi-Power", also i wanted to quieten it down abit, is there anyway to do this without losing power? There is also this weird connector that runs from what looks like a resonator or something and it looks like it goes into the cabin, anyone know what this line is?
  13. how do you set it into Auto mode? the HKS one has 4 buttons... UP / Down / Power / Memory also found out on the net that the Pivot ACS-M is a Air flow conditioner and not a boost controller... cant find any info on what it does tho
  14. hey guys, i just picked up my new skyline today... going from a NA skyline to turbo is such a big difference, a huge smile comes on my face everytime i floor it I just have a few questions because im not too sure of these things - the guy said it has a boost controller but its running stock boost (0.5 bar) with a turbo back exhaust. anyway, he said the boost controller was the thing under the HKS Turbo timer (in the pic). Im not sure how to operate it tho? also with the HKS timer - is there a auto feature where it automatically judges how long it needs to cooldown or do you just set it manually? in the 2nd pic, theres this 'Pivot turbo timer' thing under the dash aswell... im not sure what this does if anyone could shed some light... i know its alot of questions but any help would be appreciated. Thanks !
  15. Sorry to jack your topic but i was wondering if anybody knows the answer to this quick question: Is a Non-Turbo series1 airbox the same as a Turbo series 2 airbox? can they be used interchangeably ?
  16. lol.. dont know why you would get a NA gts4, gts r33's are already pretty slow.. im sure the gts4 ones are very sluggish with the added weight and no power increase. you'll have grandmas in camrys overtaking you
  17. wait 2years then decide alot of things can change in 2yrs
  18. goin by http://english.auto.vl.ru/ ... and redbook.com.au S2k = 176kw / 1260 kg (curb weight) = 139kw per tonne.. R33 183kw / 1370 (curb weight) = 133kw per tonne... R33 has alot more torque (294nm), S2k has 208nm but it probably gets evened out with the added weight of the R33.. so stock for stock, i'd give the win to the S2K theoretically im sure R33's are alot easier to gain power from compared to the S2k tho and R33's nowadays always have some kind of work done so it really would depend
  19. ah thanks mate, so much would one of these cost me? how hard are they to source??
  20. Hey guys, Just wondering if this frontbar is a optional factory http://liveimages.carsales.com.au/private/1908860.jpg as apposed to http://liveimages.carsales.com.au/private/3382373.jpg how the bottom of the bar curves out
  21. hey guys, i know this is a skyline forum but i've found this forum helpful for nissans in general so i will give it a shot by asking this quesiton. Just wondering if the 6speed S15 gearboxes would hold up power of about the 200rwkw mark, if so what kind of power can i get before i have to start worrying about the gearbox? i know it will depend on how the box has/will be treated but just as a rule of thumb... the car is mainly used for daily driving with abit of track days. Are they alot weaker than the older 5spd boxes?
  22. use Synergy 8000, i find its the same if not better than bp ult
