  2. Do I want too much? I haven't had one enquiry! This is a beautiful car and has been well maintained. Price is negotiable.

  4. Set of 4 Super Lows done about 10,000kms. Will lower 50-60mm $220
  5. I paid $420 for mine about 6 months ago. I bought it off a guy here in Melbourne who claimed to have bought it then decided on a PFC. It had never been used so it was a pretty sweet deal compared to buying from a shop here.
  6. Check out the classifieds. There's a guy selling an SAFC2 for $400 in Gold Coast. SAFC2 was the best money I've spent on the car.
  7. Mine seems to make a soft whistling noise under very low throttle and makes a soft peeoow noise when I release the throttle. It can get quite annoying as it will just keep whistling and peeoowing while I adjust the throttle to maintain a constant speed. I've heard of people blocking it off but I'm not sure why or whether it will effect the performance of the bov. Should I do this and if so, what do people use to block it off? Thanks
  8. Ahhh! I have a pod filter also so that maybe why. What about the metal plate. Is that supposed to be there?
  9. It's definately connected, I take it it's not supposed to make much noise
  10. Hi everyone I originally had a standard BOV on my R33 which had been welded up to give that flutter sound, so I went and bought another standard one thinking it would be nice and quiet but found it makes the typical pshhh noise I'd expect from an aftermarket one. Is this normal? I'm running 12psi of boost so perhaps that causes it to be make more noise. I've also checked to make sure all hoses are secure and not leaking. Also when I took the old one off, there was a metal plate in between the BOV and the air intake pipe it attaches to. This has a hole in it smaller than the opening on the BOV and causes a slight flutter noise and a slight pshhh. Is this supposed to be there or did the previous owner put it there, perhaps to run higher boost than the standard BOV can cope with?
  11. Hey Zahos I am running 12psi and have an SAFC2. It been running great for months. Then on the weekend the car developed the same misfire you guys are talking about. popopop at around 5000rpm and a short drop in power. When I dropped the boost to 10 psi, the problem went away. The spark plugs should be fine as they are new. Would this be a sign the coil packs are on there way out?

  13. Hi everyone. My new Daikin clutch engages really close to the floor. Does anyone know if this is normal? I thought a new clutch would engage high and get closer to the floor as it wore out.

    where to get rims

I bought my 18s at Donnelans in Oakleigh Ferntree Gully Rd. Good bunch of guys there. And reasonably priced.
  15. I'll start by letting you know I'm an accountant, not a mechanic, but Iridiums are supposed to be very good. I had platinums put in mine when I bought the car and had this flat spotting problem when I increased the boost. It would get worse if I gave the car a hard time (engine gets hotter). Plugs have a heat rating and I think spark at a different temperature depending on their rating. When I replaced the plugs with colder ones, the flat spotting went away. Perhaps get a second opinion though as I don't want to give you the bum steer. Plugs aren't cheap.
  16. I had the same problem with multiple flatting at higher than standard boost. Mine was fixed by putting colder plugs in. I know you've checked the plugs and assuming you put the same plugs in as the original ones you had, then this probably won't help. But I do know how frustrating it is trying to track the problem so I thought I'd mention it.
  17. My clutch operates fine when I'm just plodding around, but when I change gears at high revs, say above 5000 rpm, it feels rough as I push it in. It doesn't feel like it's slipping though. Is this a sign that it's on its way out or could there just be a lack of lube? I greatly appreciate the advice.
  18. I had the same problem Robo. I was running 12 psi but not hitting the fuel cut. But the power would surge then drop off a couple of times before I hit the red line. This would only happen when the car had been driven for a while. My mechanic put colder plugs in which improved the problem but didn't fix it completely. I dropped the boost down to between 10 and 11 psi and now it goes like a dream.
  19. Nice! All you need is a fold out couch to come out of the rear bumper!
  20. Yeah, Dick Smith have them for about $90. You can plug any household appliance in them as far as I know. JB HiFi have DVD players at the moment for $330. I decided to go for that option instead of the PS2. It also plays MP3s. I decided the extra $240 over the PS2 option was worth it. I can also plug a PS2 or a TV tuner into it if I wish.
  21. I have Tein HAs and absolutely love them. On the softest setting I actually found it too soft for my liking. But that I guess is personal preference. It's nice having the ability to adjust them exactly to my liking. The difference in the cars handling is incredible compared to the standard suspension (mind you, I have a gtst, not a gtr) On the hardest setting, you will get a head ache, a sore neck, and a sore back within 10 minutes of driving. Save that setting for the track. If you prefer the ride feel of a commodore, then steer clear of the Teins though as the softest setting seems to be too hard for a lot of people.
  22. Sweet! Thanks for your input guys. I'll give it a go and see what happens. The glove box would great if I can get it to fit.
  23. Hi everyone. I'm planning to hook up the playstation 2 in the car until I get around to buying a proper DVD player. Does anyone know if they skip while driving? If so, has anyone come up with any inventions to limit this. Simon
