  1. Hahaha I just looked up the oil I use on MSDS online. I'm glad mine doesn't give you sack cancer if you touch it hahaha
  2. If your short of the $$, maybe someone close by to you would be willing to let you borrow one for a short time. Otherwise, maybe you'd want to check the for sale threads, there's cheap second hand goodies in there.
  3. Well, I bought the Xforce bellmouth in mild steel and its been a treat for the almost 2 years i've had it. Maybe get one fabbed up for you at a reputable exhaust shop. Shouldn't cost you a great deal more and at least you know the quality will be good. But yes being a student and funds and stuff etc etc....
  4. So you've checked all the cooler piping and joins? When my pipes partially blew off it wouldn't rev past 4grand, wouldn't make full boost obviously but was still spooling, it was just a massive air leak that would only open up under pressure. Off boost it drove fine. Made the car run pretty crap though under boost. ....ummmm blocked cat maybe?
  5. How the heck did your dump/fronts warp? Thats the first I've head of that happening. Maybe you've got something else wrong as it shouldn't be heating up so much that it warps your dump/front pipe.
  6. Its 1.34 isn't it...?
  7. how'd you go? Did it fit?
  8. reasonable being the operative word. There are better kits around but if you can get the Just Jap kit on without too much drama then fantastic. That said, I have the earlier non return flow kit on my car, can't beat it price wise and does the job fine, but there was a little fiddling fitting it.
  9. Well if you want your snorkle to fit, you're either going to have chop and mod the snorkle, or get yourself a more appropriate intercooler piping setup so it lets it fit. A return flow FMIC kit would do it to keep the stock look, but your looking at some $$ for a decent kit.
  10. Box off your pod, heat insulate it and route some cold air to it, and bob's your mother's brother.
  11. yeah, $300 or so for a free-er flowing 3" dump/front pipe is not expensive. It should've been one of the first things to get done. And if its its not done now then do it already.
  12. well have you checked that any of your cooler piping hasn't blown off or developed a large leak on one of the joins? Also what colour is the smoke? If its black its fuel, white is water, blue is oil.
  13. yeah i made 195rwkw with the same mods but i've got a PFC. So you with an auto and untuned ecu......180rwkw as a general stab. PS dyno's are tuning tools, give or take 5rwkw and thats what you'll have.
  14. The R33 speedos/instrument clusters aren't cable driven from my knowledge. R32's they are. R33's they aren't. But as said it's possible it is due to odometer tampering.
  15. What model car is it?
  16. Adrenalins possibly? I have T1R'S they've been great but you can feel they lose a lot of grip towards the end of their life. Thats probably to be expected with any tyre though. I love to see a comparison or if someone has compared the following: Adrenalins vs T1R's vs R1R's.
  17. I T'd mine out of the vacuum hose that goes from the bov to the plenum. It works for me. But yeah hot pipe is probably better.
  18. No i double posted in your thread. I wasn't reffering to you posting 2 of the same topic. But nonetheless I hope your question is anwered to some degree.
  19. EDIT: Damn double post....
  20. You get a D-Jetro PFC. Your regular PFC is L-Jetro which means it uses an AFM and afm only. You don't convert L-Jetro PFC's to run map sensors. If you want a PFC that uses map sensors, you buy a D-Jetro PFC. If your fussed about it, there are other ECU's around that can utilise both. Have a look into VIPEC. From my understanding and previous knowledge the Wolf V500 has a built in map sensor in the ecu and can be had as a plug in unit.
  21. Well its going to depend on what your going to use it for. The PFC is enough to attend to the needs of a street car. On the plus side there are a lot of people who know how to tune the PFC so you won't be scratching for information or finding someone to tune for you. Maybe what may be best for you is to see your preffered tuner and ask what he recommends and can work with best. Because at the end of the day, your tune will only be as good as the tuner is.
  22. Care to elaborate? What exactly went wrong?
  23. So I'm interested to ask as too how much this little exercise has cost you....?
  24. Hahaha its good now. phew the world can keep spinning again
