That's gotta be pretty disheartening man. Especially just after you got it tuned. Maybe there was a problem to start with when it wasn't boosting properly to 18psi when creatd was trying to tune it....?

Its because no one cares anymore. When someone hears a car alarm go off, no one even thinks about it, its just background noise to them. Just think, before you had your alarm installed, and you heard someones alarm go off, did you do anything about it?(rhetorical question) It usually not until someone has had a break in or an experience of a stolen car that they actually take notice of car alarms going off in the background. How many times have you heard an alarm go off in a shopping centre car park and only just vaguely looked in the direction it came from and just kept walking?(rhetorical question) A lot of us are guilty of it already...including me. But the least someone could do is check or have a look and make sure the cars not getting broken into. We live in a 'I don't care' society with an 'I don't care' attitude. Its to be expected, but it is in no way at all nice. Sad but true. I feel for ya man. I hope there wasn't too much damage. Even the minor things cost a lot of money to repair like paint & panels.

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t158174.html This ones from the fabrication section. It came out nice but BAMR33 in post #3 made an interesting comment.

Ah ok. No I tried looking for one briefly last night but couldn't find one. The Apexi one has all the plumb-back nipples on it as its designed to be a direct replacement for the stock pipe. So its probably not what your looking for. Plus it costs in the vicinity of $400+. But I think it comes with everything like a filter and a pod box. I'd just get one fabbed up. Stainless would look best. Plus you can specify where you want the pod (if your going to use a pod) to sit. Some guys say its just a 3" 90degree mandrel bent pipe with an extension on it and thats all it is.

Would $5,000 Buy You A R32 Now-a-days?

SSS Pulsar? And tell him to get a manual license too. -
Moderner Lol...what an idiot.

If your after functionality, this is a cheap way of achieving it. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t173019.html If your after the looks, Apexi do a kit....but it ain't cheap. Your best bet is to get one fabricated for roughly $200 odd max.

All this money to throw at an engine yet no money set aside for brakes, suspension or tyres?
-
Yeah just realised, they use proxes 4's in the DA drift series, not all the cars though obviously. Does that mean that they're better for grip or slip? Do they not use T1R's because they're too grippy?
-
I don't think that BNR32 PFC is going to work with the RB20. It was made for a RB26. Any PFC for a RB20 is going to cost at least roughly $1500-$1700 just for the unit.

One of your intercooler piping joins isn't connected properly. Its leaking out air under pressure. Or there's a split, but most likely you haven't connected it all up properly since you touched it recently.
-
How the heck did you come up with that? You can't have dual intake pipes with dual pods with only one AFM on one intake pipe. You said before that your bypassing the afm "halves the restriction through the afm intake hence you can double its potential airflow". All the air has to be metered. Non of it can be bypassed. Having a SAFC tricks the ecu into thinking there is less air, but it is all metered and controlled by the safc. Bypassing the AFM gives you no control over the afr's as it will be sucking in un-metered air and giving you a potentially dangerous and uncontrolled lean out situation. What if the unmetered pod sucks in more air than it usually does? It'll lean out. If this mod were true, no one would be buying z32 afm's to get past the limit of the standard afm if you could potentially double its resolution. It's like putting a massive 3" hole in the side of your standard intake pipe and putting a filter on it, and "retune to suit". Explain if I've missed something please.....

Just re-solder whats there. I've read it is 4 as well for rb25 AFMs.

Blown Turbo On Ex Hpi R32 4door Rb24 Motor
RBwhatever replied to white32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hmm yeah. I was contemplating buying a kkr430 for a mild upgrade if the stock one spits it. Not so sure now. Edit: Its still a valid option -
The apexi neo is a AFM signal bender. It gets the air flow signal and warps it so the stock ecu says "oh that looks ok". The Power FC reads air flow as it is, which is in mV. It doesn't bend the signal because it doesn't have to trick anything. I haven't seen a neo before but maybe those %'s your seeing is air flow correction figures.

Are Skylines More Frugal Than S14s
RBwhatever replied to megabuff's topic in General Automotive Discussion
LPG in a sports car is a sin. Its like (exaggerated example) buying a Lambo Murcielago and saying "oh my car drinks too much fuel, I think I might put it on LPG".....in the words of napoleon dynamite.....Idiot! -

Yes you would have to really boost it.....to try and get the power back that 98RON gives you. If your gonna get gas, get N20. -
Aftermarket Fuel Pump Query, New Press Vs Old
RBwhatever replied to skiwhine's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeah I found my AFR's richened up after I swapped the stock one out for a walbro(oh no not walbro ). But as BHDave said, idle and cruise afr's weren't affected. Edit: Woops spelt BHDave's username wrong...sorry Dave :\ -
Blown Turbo On Ex Hpi R32 4door Rb24 Motor
RBwhatever replied to white32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeah I believe it was installed when HPI built the car. So can we come to the conclusion: Bee-R Rev Limiter=Turbo Killer? -
I payed $205ea for 205/55/R16. The 225/50/R16 were the same price. I bought mine from Tyrepower. Toyo is their main brand. I found other tyre shops quoted $30-$50 more each for the same tyre.
-
The Proxes 4? No haven't used em before. I've got the T1R's, I haven't regretted buying them. If you like grip then the T1R would suit you. The grip in the wet is unbelievable. Proxes 4 is the tyre down from the T1R so it probably isn't bad, but it won't be as good. It'll probably be good if you like a reasonably good amount of grip and you don't really try to push your car to its limits.

Its a DIY for RB26 AFMs but there's no difference to the procedure for RB25 AFMs. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t113284.html

Hang on i'll see if i can find the thread for ya.

Nothing to worry about. RB25 AFM maxes out at 5.1V I'm still on the stock turbo running 12psi and it only just hits over 5000mv. Thats however 700m above sea level where the air is thinner. Take it down the hill to sea level and it'll hit 5110mv no worries. At idle its about the same as yours..1100mv-1200mv.

Ben Ellis isn't the editor for HPI anymore. Some new dude is doing it.
