  1. strut brace if you don't have one
  2. Hi Gary, PM sent.
  3. Thanks for that guys. got them painted. I ended up doing 2 at a time. I used a couple of jacks on the car to lift up each end. Cheers
  4. Hi guys, pretty soon I'll be putting a fresh lick of paint on my rims. Now since its best to paint them all at once (saves time and ease of painting), I need to take them off all at once to do so. I don't have a hoist or spare rims to whack on in the meantime. So whats to best way to support the car when it hasn't got any rims? I was thinking of putting it up on bricks, should that be ok? Thanks fellas
  5. No worries Ryan, glad I could help
  6. pm sent man.
  7. Yeah man is that a question? Look at the link in post 1449 on this page for a "DIY guide for Retards" ha ha edit: grammer
  8. Blocking that hole off is supposed to make boost response better and come on harder because it won't be escaping through it. Some guys just use hot glue to block it. I used duct tape.
  9. I think the conversation should(being the operative word) of went like, "I don't have an aftermarket atmospheric blow off valve because it messes with the AFM and ECU and will make my car stall."
  10. Hmmm... ^^^^ I second that. The voltage regulator on the alternator may have karked it. You can check this and see if its all melted. Or the the spring loaded bushes in the regulator have worn short. Being a 93 model it probably wouldn't hurt to just get it reconditioned, and they'll change the bearings inside and the regulator etc. Should cost about $100.
  11. you'll probably find that the resonator will be a straight through muffler anyway, so it shouldn't bring your power down much if any at all
  12. I've heard that with the 040, because it doesn't have a pick up on it that you mount the pump as low as possible in the tank. But even so it won't be able to pick up as low as the stock pump and thus you'll come across running short of fuel before the tank is empty. Has anyone here made an extension or pick up for the 040?
  13. Why did you start this thread when you could of asked this Q in your other thread that you started today on the same topic?!? No need to start another thread. Go to a workshop that specialises in fuel injection systems and they'll help you out. Where? Yellow Pages does wonders when you use it. While your on the phone to them ask them for a quote.
  14. Lightning fast throttle response.
  15. Oh damn.... I didn't see the GTR bit. I retract my comment. Go the 32GTR if you can afford to mod and maintain it. Looks better too. edit: grammer
  16. Get the 33 if its the same price. It'll always be cheaper to buy a car already done than it is to do it yourself. Then there's the argument "but you don't know what the car been doing". Get it checked out to see if all is in good order. You'll rather the torque of the rb25 anyway over the rb20. If i had my chance again I'd buy a car thats already been done up. I find it hard to afford to mods for my car. But thats just me.
  17. thanks scott i recieved them today .
  18. I've heard you can easily test this by pressurizing the system with an air compressor while your car is off. Apparently it make leaks very easy to locate. Unfortunately I'm not sure of the procedure. I also would like to know.
  19. What tmc_2 said. Go 10psi. Although if you haven't put a full exhaust system on yet, don't boost it at all. The stock system is very restrictive and you won't reap the best benefits. Intake & Exhaust & intercooler first (although its probably colder there anyway), then boost.
  20. what kind of paint are you guys using. Automotive? Not that $2 pressure pack stuff? Also did you do it on the car or remove them?
  21. Payment and PM sent.
  22. PM sent. Feedback left also. I've received them and they work awesome. Very happy . Took about 10mins to fit and adjust.
  23. You could add this one. They do body kits and some performance parts. http://www.monkeywarehouse.com.au/
