  1. It's what was available and within my budget at the time. I had been waiting to get rid of my old junker for some time and step into something better, i was getting desperate...I even considered buying a maxima or a 3.5L magna I'm sooo glad I didn't.
  2. Lol, I bought em off marty. You'd know marty yeah? I like em black, I don't know why. I'll leave em till I get sick of them then I'll paint...
  3. Wow, mine were never that bad to start with. I did apply a headlight restorer to mine about the start of the year and they came up shmicko like yours. They've since started going backwards a little but still look good. So I cleaned her up today inside and outside and gave it a polish and a wax and she looks nice again. I don't want to get it dirty now.
  4. lol listen to matt and ben. they have your problem answered.
  5. Sounds like your progressing really well. 120kg bench is very possible it sounds for you. I reckon you can hit that in 6 weeks. When I did it I felt freakishly energetic that night. Did it once and couldn't do it again ever. I free weight the squats. Once you get your balance right you'll be fine. If you have trouble with your feet as you lower, maybe put some weights under your heels to get an angle on your feet. Do you do incline bench and tricep exercises as well? What do you do for back? I'll do light deadlifts(40-60kg) bent and straight legged. Also seated rows on a cable machine. And weighted back raisers for the lower back again. Leg extensions. Shrugs, lateral pull ups....etc. there's heaps of exercises to do. I love doing Clean and Jerks as it uses your whole body, it wrecks you quicksmart.
  6. I suppose i should add that I'm 178cms as well. Height makes a difference to weight.
  7. I'm 22. Started at 70kgs at 18. Grew to 85kgs (throw some fat in there....I ate too much while going to gym). Cut back down to my current 72kg and lift more weight than i did at 85kg. Max ever bench - 120kg 2 reps. Currently bench 80kg 8 reps, 100kg 3 reps. I was doing 5 reps of 100 and 10-13 of 80 but got slack for a couple of weeks. Curl 20kg dumbells each arm. 50kg preacher curl....not many reps. The bar weighs 7kg but I don't include that weight into the figures. Squat 100kg. I don't leg press at all, I haven't really bothered with it. I've hit a bit of a wall though. I'm finding progression is slow atm regardless of how hard I try and push forward.
  8. what the heck? how heavy are you?
  9. yeah lol a good gym buddie that knows good technique. I got a couple of buddies at gym and we're all pushing around the same. It's good, it makes less shifting of weights between sets. I've been doing gym on and off for about 4 years now and have never had a PT. You learn about technique slower, but it comes eventually from watching other guys. If you can learn about technique early on it's a lot more beneficial. It's the first thing I tell other kiddies that just start. It's fun breaking them in. But yeah it's not how much you push, it's how you push it.
  10. Either a PT or get a gym buddy. Makes you push harder if you start competing with them. You spur each other on to push harder and more reps
  11. you should post the pics
  12. I agree with you there, although I haven't driven a lot of different cars/imports. But they're definitely better the the locally delivered offering. My back hurts on long driving trips though....
  13. Do an EB Falconio, and leave it looking like you dragged it out of the creek. Fallen headliner and all
  14. I'm the same, I never get pulled over for driving a skyline. I got hassled once cos some guy ran from the cops and they thought it was me. They took some photo's of the car and the "we've got our eye on you speech". Got pulled over again about it, I explained it wasn't me and I was never hassled since. It's a small town though, the cops get to know ya and don't bother you after. Only ever the rare RBT is all.
  15. I kinda like the skirts looking black. It looks like crap and unfinished. I don't know why I like it looking like that and don't ask me why. But when it gets dirty it retains the same look. TBH I haven't actually cleaned it since I had the skirts on....which is almost a good 2 months or more. I've had it lowered already, not by a massive hit though. I bought the SK Bilstein kit back in the day and that dropped it about 25mm or so. I can't really go any lower for te area I live in. I plan on giving it a detail in and out this weekend, that should help re-ignite some 33 love Yeah I know I'd miss it stacks if I did. I miss my old N13 Pulsar too because nothing I did to it really mattered. could take it for a thrash on dirt roads, the paint was schtarfed so scratches and chips and dents were welcome. I even painted the roof of the thing white with house paint. Man I hated that thing...lol I wouldn't mind stepping into a Chaser or a Celsior dumped on airbags though. Tried that, last time I watched it I almost turned it off halfway through the tackiness was that bad. Seemed good the first time I watched it though.
  16. You'd probably know Marty eh?
  17. If I'm going to buy anything for it, it'd be in the form of a turbo or something. I've always been a performance first, looks second kind of guy. I'm just too tight to spend more on it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to be selling it anytime soon. I suppose it's a good thing to that where I live you can count the number of skylines in town on one hand. Makes it feel more unique to the area.
  18. Mine work fine. Fixed my misfiring issues pronto
  19. I think there is some truth to your statement. Although at the time of when I bought mine, it was the only really decent and feasible car that I could afford that was an Import. I didn't really want a R32 cos of the RB20. R34 was way out of my reach. Originally wanted a 180 or S13 Sil at the time but this came along first and seemed the better pick. I admit it's a great all rounder car. But yeah, I found when it was standard, I could never really find the perfect angle to take a photo of it. Every photo I took the car it looked el ugly.
  20. Looks good, even though it has chip heaven on the front bar it still looks fat....GTR's always do. option a. At least it'll be running.
  21. yeah, I should probably just take more care of it and keep it clean. But those stupid rattles that I can't find drive me crazy *shakes fist at car*
  22. Thanks man Haha I bought the skirts 2nd hand about 2 months ago and just wacked it on with a few screws. It was matt black from the previous owner. I can't be bothered spending money to paint them. I'm so over spending money on the car.....but yes you're correct, I'm a lazy ass about it I've put a white Monkey (Warehouse) sticker on the rear of the skirt to balance the black and white. And I didn't get the rest of the kit cos I wouldn't be able to get up the driveways etc I drive on. I bought a bike. It serves as a half daily. I rotate with the car nowdays. I hate my car cos it's taken my money already love hate relationship. I'm waiting for my standard turbo to give up the ghost still. I reckon it could be any day now. I don't flog it much so it will probably last longer than i expect it too.
  23. I've often contemplated buying another car. But with all the money I've spent on this one, I know I'd be selling a practically good car that does almost everything I need/want a car to perform like. So that's what making me keep it. That and I'd be selling at a mega loss
  24. here we are They're not exactly up to date. I haven't really taken a photo of it in a while..
